We all know that alot of the aesthetic goodness of a psychobilly or a gothabilly band is cemented by an upright bass if they have one. And a great player is an asset so talk about your favorite bass players here, and why not talk about all the awesome looking basses while we're at it!

well then,
Vale from Mad Sin.
Strangey from Klingonz, Demented Are Go, Dead Kings and Celtic Bones he's also played with The Kings of Nuthin', King Kurt and probably shitload of more bands would be in my opinion the coolest/best uppright bass players out there.

Well the uppright bass would go with rockabilly/neo-rockabilly, punkabilly... well almost every subgenre that ends with "billy" usualy uses an upright bass.

lol XD

I wanna learn to play one before I die, that and a cello
Also there are a few bands in every kind of *billy that go without the upright bass but why would you? It's too awesome

probably many reasons why they would go without one, and I know that both King Kurt and Demented Are Go have played without the uppright bass at sometime.
