Prologue
--Present day, Earth.--
It is good to see you, young creature. We have a place here for you, and we have open arms to all those who are willing to gaze up at the sky to see the calling star. The star in which has glided along the blackened night, and lit up even the darkest corners. Come along to the shores of Atlantis. We do not allow humans here, however. For such beings have never believed in us for many a millenia leaving us to rot in the back of their minds. It is now our time to gather to find out who the royal family is, and to stand against our greatest threats. As well as get away from our different pasts (if any of us can), and hopefully regain our peaceful island. Hopefully, the humans will remain oblivious about us and Atlantis' rising! For there is a great magic which is expended daily by our greatest magic users to hide the presence of this land that we share.
Come! Help Atlantis to thrive in its very own way separate from the hussle and bussle of the human expectation, and a number of the modern items such as vehicles, cell phones, computers, and GPS. However, that doesn't mean that we don't have modern technology. We have a store that sells MP3 players, ipods, xboxes, game systems of all kinds, power tools, kitchen ware, home supplies, and comfortable furniture. If there is anything you need, our residences may be glad to point you in the right direction or you can refer to a guide. They are on every street corner, all you need say is the following: "Ecach, dubear.*" Please enjoy your stay here at Atlantis!
(*Note: If this is of any real language, I'd be surprised! It isn't meant to be of a real language, but if you want a translation... Echach, dubear means "Come forth, all-knowing guide". These guides are set up as side characters, and will be played by yours truly to help you get around Atlantis easier.)
Character Skeleton *Please send this(your Draccy approved character profile--I'm too lazy to go looking for the right one in all those profiles...) in a PM to myself with the title: Character Profile.--And no humans. Half breeds are not considered humans, and are very much welcomed here.*

Rules, Expectations, Guidlines, and the Such... **Subject to change.** -Do not quote the first few pages because that gets annoying. Just send me a PM with whatever request, or question that you have for me about this role-play. Otherwise, take it to the OOC hangout thread. -Do not god-mod. No one is perfect... So, why make a perfect character. -Abide by Gaia ToS. -No cybering. -Keep things about PG14, this might be best for Gaia... -Do not post in this thread that you want to role-play, send me a PM to say that you want to join. I WILL NOT CONSIDER OTHERWISE, AND YOUR POST WILL BE DELETED. (I should have this posted above or below the character skeleton as well.) -Please wait until both Draccy and I approve your character to post, unless you post in OOC to talk with the other characters/people. (So, be nice rp-ers! And don't forget to socialize...) -Please do your best to post as much as possible to keep things rolling, and if you must quite then kill your character or request them to be killed. -When OOC, please use the following to show that your OOC(Out-Of-Character): (()) - Here is the OOC. This will be used for major conversations, and everything else. -Do your best when posting(Ie, try to use your best grammar or use a spell checker, or even try keeping offensive material to a limit.) -Try to post weekly, if not daily. -I will try to get hold of you, if you have not posted within a week of signing up the following stands true: Your character could be removed, killed, or "taken away". -If you do not post daily or weekly, then the following stands to be true: Your character could be removed, killed, or "taken away". -Keep common kindnesses in mind when speaking to others OOC, and keep things PG13 to co-align with Gaia's mandatory rules. (Meaning: Minimal swearing unless it is for a good cause like characterization, no cybering--Use a time skip and reinforce with light suggestive talk about "sexual affairs", and remember: 'There is always another way!' As writers, express this as best you can!) -Please check out the jobs, magic, and creatures lists below if you are having difficulty choosing. (This isn't so much placed as a rule. Just throwing it out there.) -The rules ARE subject to change. But I will not make unreasonable change, or many unless there is an issue that is found to conflict with the well-being of others in this thread. (So watch out, I'm keeping tabs on you and your character or characters in this thread... As well as being open to suggestions!) -Request any clarifications from me, and me alone. As well as any editing to these first few posts. (I like to keep things going in an orderly fashion, there will be an OOC added in a bit. It will be in the appropriate placement. Check back for that!) Thank you for taking time out to read this!!

Characters Living in Atlantis
Username: Kameron-Anemone Name: Adrienne Age: 500 Race: Nymph-Vampire hybrid Previous job(Optional): Trainee Job: Druid/Ranger Appearance: Adrienne is rather tall for his age, standing at about six foot, five inches. His bright hair had gotten him attention that he didn't care for growing up seeing as he was also quite tall compared to others, and happened to wear glasses. Bright pink spiked hair, and steel grey eyes that had a strong appeal to them. Along with his height of six foot five inches, and a light muscular build. Adrienne wears thin, wire frame glasses and power limiters on his ears. These limiters are used to keep his inner-most desire for blood at bay, and help to make him look that more unique to his dryad community. Although, with his 500th birthday his appearance changes. (Note photo below.)

Altered Appearance:He grows to be six foot eleven inches. His hair grows to his hips, and becomes ivory in colour while his eyes turn a silver in colour. Adrienne also begins to wear his glasses much more frequently than before. Making him appear to have the appeal of a stereotypical librarian to some. His nails grow becoming more claw-like, and his fangs grow in order to show off his new being. As well as always holding a newly made staff in his hands, of which he had hand-crafted himself. His scars line his body, still, showing off some of his past. Remains a serious, and quiet figure with little emotion to his face. Yet, a smile is often not too rare to find on his face when he truly feels happiness, or warmth. Or maybe, he's just flirting. Personality: Silent, and not very talkative. He may come out of his shell to speak, but only when he feels obligated to talk or has an urge to speak to someone. He does his best to keep himself wrapped up in mystery, but he tends to be rather blunt. Sarcasm, wit, cleverness, and humour help him when he feels like talking with people. Although, it's an odd occurance that he would start a conversation with someone. He does take some initative to be social. Some would say that he can be a hard character to read due his light-heartedness conflicting with his more serious-toned self. Yet somethings that stand true with him are his passion, and desire. He will do his best to come through for those who need him, and will do his best to do anything that he can to protect them from his past. History: Living in despair wondering as to who his mother truly was, he lived with his father and the other Dryads. Although, he knew that he was different but couldn't quite tell. Whenever he asked his father about his mother, the question would almost entirely be pushed aside. So, Adrienne would be left wondering more and more about his heritage. His cousin, a bard, had told him a few things about his mother and gave him a photograph to remember her by. When he had heard about Atlantis coming back it was then that he had left behind his past to start anew. He wanted a new life, a new start, and to meet a great fate. Additional Information: Adrienne carries a staff with him at all times, and uses it when he feels that he needs some 'assistance' with his magic. Adrienne has a familiar, formerly this familiar was his best friend but an incident forced great measures in which the two are now soul bound. His familiar is a mole, and can only speak to Adrienne through their thoughts or soul. Until Adrienne's 500th birthday when yet more trouble comes back in the form of a curse to haunt him! His past is back to steal him from his torn life as a half-breed. His life depends entirely on his choice for which path he will choose to take for the rest of his days.
Username: Draculas-Mistress Name: Dreamis Coldiron Age: too old to tell Race: vampire Previous job(Optional): guard Job: assassin Appearance: Personality: cold and unfeeling, doesn't talk to many people. Has no emotion for living things. Manicle and twisted minded. History: Her mother is un-known to her and her father treated her worse than rats. She ran off and joined the military when she was 13 being the first female to do so. She was nicknamed the devil because of her armor and how she treated the enemy on and off of the battle field. She became the commander of her army after being released from a POW camp where she spent 4 years of her life. She went insane and had to be discharged where her half brother took over. Now their country is gone becuase of him. Additional information: She likes kitties and puppies.

Draculas-Mistress {do we send you our profiles?} ((Yeah. I think I put that above the profile skeleton in the firt post.--I'm too lazy to go looking for the right profile among all the rest.-- It's just my weird formality thing. I'll have my first in-character up after I get one or two profiles. But remember, I am an agent of chaos and will literally do my best to make things a living nightmare in Atlantis. --And I may have more than a hundred surprises in store for everyone!!--))

'We've had a long journey, haven't we?' I thought to my familiar who had poked his nose from out of my spiked hair. It wasn't surprising to see that he was interested in seeing this place; it was going to be our new home after all. We glanced around the shoreline. It wasn't as tiny an island as we had thought, but either way it was still really nice to see. Our ancestors would have lived here, and we had the honour of living here too. I wondered what was in store for us as I walked along the sandy shores, and sighed. It was as if we had been travelling for years, as if we hadn't lived until now. This place was to be our new home, and we were to start our new life. Hopefully, we would find somebody, anybody...
Someone who we could call our friend, anybody who we call could our life partner. For we had met many people by now: all of them were the same, and yet they were all different. I had to wonder what was possible in this place. Were we going to be able to find a job that suited us, or would all the jobs be taken?
It was highly doubtful in our minds that all the jobs would be taken. This place, Atlantis, seemed to work off of the physical labour that it had thousands of years ago. There were no fast food joints like in the human communities, and there were only a few factories. Yet, even they needed people there. It seemed as if Atlantis worked with the Earth to make the enviroment better for its residents. I could see small marketplace stalls set up along the shores, and each sold different things. Although, I was sure that there were more of these farther into the land. Even so, this was quite convient seeing as these stalls were setup closer to the neighbourhoods. As I walked farther, I had noticed that I had come to a large willow tree at the end of the sandy shoreline. From what I could see, on the other side of the tree was a cliff face that Atlantis showed. A straight drop from the top, and upon further inspection of the water...
I had been able to see something. Something or someone was swimming in the water, and there were a number of these beings swimming there. I wondered about them, and decided to sing Aurora. It was peaceful, and I had wanted to see what kind of reaction these creatures would give to my voice. It was quite deep, almost as if it were like a black stone that had been dropped to the ocean's bottom. It was the only way that my cousin had told me that she could describe it. She had also went on to tell me that she wasn't surprised that some women melted like butter when they heard my voice. However, it did not suit my appearance. Which I was hoping to change while there were fewer people on the island of Atlantis. Still, I had remembered that it would not matter seeing as I had a curse laid upon me. A dryad curse, none-the-less. One that would plague me, haunt me, and possibly harm me more than anything else. Knowing this curse, it would drain me of most to all my magic while inflicting damage upon me and those around me. It was quite horrific when it was actually active. The curse was active for up to an entire day, and there was only one day that it would be in place. It would be active soon for me, and I was beginning to worry.
I was born on June 25. A cancer am I. However, I act more like I might be a virgo. Worried, anxious, and uncertain were my feelings as I sung softly watching the figures move about in the water quite uniformed. After I had finished singing, I had decided to wander down the streets to find my home. When I did, I had wandered in placing my bags near the door. However, they were placed far enough out of the way. I looked around my house noticing that there was little furniture in my house. I didn't mind, I was good when it came to carpentry. So, I could easily make whatever furniture that I desired for my home. Possibly, I could even get into carpentry at the local shop. For I was certain that I had seen one while roaming around the streets. I had taken in inventory. There was a couch, a bed, a matress, some sheets and towels, a few chairs, and a kitchen table. It was nice, but it was all quite old. I could easily replace the furniture, and find another use for the furniture that I already had.
After looking everything over, I decided to explore Atlantis. My feet tapped the ground smoothly as I wandered through the streets towards the center of Atlantis. Until I had noticed a carpentry shop, its door was open and inside I could see an older-looking man in a near empty store. He seemed quite morose at that moment, and I had decided to walk in against my own wishes.
"Looks like you could use some help, here. Are you looking for any help? An employee possibly?" I asked, knowing that I had gone through my training already.
"Yes, I actually could use some help around the shop. However, I would dearly enjoy seeing what you can do before I hire you." He stood up from the stool that he which had been sitting on when I had walked into the store.
"Alright, where do I go to work?" I asked, waiting for a response. He had waved his hand, and brought me into the back of the store. There, my familiar and I stayed for hours as we did our best to complete as much furniture as we were able to do as we did our best to complete as much furniture as we could, putting our best effort into each piece. The old shop owner, I had come to be known as Ivan. He was a kindly old man who had taken to me quite quickly. He had asked about my background, history, teaching, and even about my familiar. He was shocked to see the mole come crawling out of my hair where he would often hide away. My familiar had been sensitive to light, and would hide in my hair to lessen the light that reached his eyes. However little it had been, my hair still hid him from the light and was open-aired. He was able to breath, and hid away from fully bright light. Which was nice to him, and he appreciated the inside of the store for it was not heavily lit. In fact, it was quite dim inside. That was probably why Ivan had made a back room without a roof, and custom made it for carpenter's work space as its sole purpose.((I hope everyone likes this as an introduction for my first character, and the opening entry for the role-play. --I happen to have used several ideas from my other United Hearts role-play as well as others to create this. I think it turned out quite well even if it had so many ideas thrown into one!!-- And I apologize the shortness of it. I would have written more, but I was running thin on motives to keep it going.))

{ eek mini-novel....}
She was making her usual rounds around the city. No one knew her job or really anything about her. Just that she dressed weird and didn't talk much. They were kind of afraid of her. She didn't mind though, she was used to being alone. She observed her surroundings and found what she was looking for. What a pitiful excuse of a man she thought to herself. She pulled her cloak up and went into the shadows and waited for him to come her way. When he finally did, he didn't know what hit him. She made the death slow and painful. She make sure to take the jewel out of his head so that they person paying her would know that she did it. She put the jewel in a little bag and left the man in the alley
