she noticed a boat floating on the lake, and turned to alex and gave him a questioning look as if he wanted to do something

Her phone vibrates in her pocket so she pulls it out and read the text message.
"ugh, i can't, i have to run, i'm sorry" she gets up and starts to walk off, but she stops and turns around and kisses Alex on the cheek.
"bye" she says smiling and leaves

(I don't think snuggling = cybering. But if you wanna enforce that rule, read the last like....6 pages of the beach. Those two have been at it for...I don't even know. But they have really been going at it confused )
