I'm able to see all of their memories and pick out key points in which to inform The Eye of their experiences. So far no one can really keep anything from me, at least during the Marking Process, then again with the Sojourn to keep them from actively thinking....I guess they wouldn't be able to. I've developed mine through a lot of training through the years, and am now able to use it without making eye contact...all i have to do is see them." He looked at her from the corner of his eye, "And its against the Law established from King Lydon for me to read anyones mind if not necessary for either Marking or my own survival. So I know about you....because I'm perceptive...." The house grew into view, the lights happy welcoming eyes in the darkness.

Hunter hopped into the front passenger seat of the truck, noticing that Blaire had planted herself in the back passenger side seat. She tried to hide her blushing face from Sasuke as she watched Simon go back into his house, a grin plastered on her face that she could not shake. Sasuke flicked the truck's lights on and threw the SUV in reverse. As he backed out and flipped the truck so it was headed in the opposite direction, he glanced over at Hunter from the corner of his eye, and then back to Blaire, trying to keep it unnoticeable. He drove off the base and back onto the regular speed limit...Continued here...

A graceful and tapered hand raised to stop him, "Please Simon...there is no reason for such formaility...your brother is off in an apprenticeship so I've heard...Its alight. I don't expect you to keep tabs on him. I simply asked if you've heard from him." a smile pulled at the corner of his mouth as he looked into the young man's eyes, "Please don't be nervous around me- it is hardly my intention."
Aislin looked to Lydon who was only a few years older them herself, "Lydon you are truly too kind. Both my boys understand their place in your Kingdom as do I..."
"Ah Aislin...a fine choice as my favored Eye." he gave her one of his award winning movie-star smiles.
At that moment his phone began to ring, Simon clumsily tried to reach into his pocket to shut off the music playing, James Blunt's 'You're Beautiful'
"Answer it...sounds like a lady friend is calling...." a chuckle tinging his voice
Simon blushed and finally managed to put his phone to his face turning from the adults, "Hello? Hunter?" Hunter Hunter's stomach fluttered when Simon answered the phone. She still hadn't been sure if she wanted him to answer or not. "Hi, Simon. Yes, it's me. Umm... is this a good time?" She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and then regretted it as she caught Manic's glare. Simon With a nervous glance towards King Lydon and his mother, Simon took a few steps away, and spoked in a hushed tone, "Um...yes its fine...We've had a visitor here..." he coughed a little, hoping she understood what he meant by 'visitor', "We've just been talking..." his voice became less hushed as he grew comfortable talking to her on the phone infront of said guest and his mother as well, "What about you, are you alirght? You didn't get in any trouble...right?" Hunter Hunter batted her eyes bashfully and looked down at her feet as she thought back to their encounter at the park. She kicked absently at the rooftop as she eyed her brother. "Trouble? Huh, I'm not too sure." She laughed nervously and quickly looked back at her feet as she tried to ignore everyone else on the roof. "Um... actually I was calling about well you know..." she dropped her voice slightly. "My friend you were asking about last night." She tried to steady her breathing but she could feel her palms getting clammy. Simon "The friend i was...." he started to repeat, then his eyes widened in realization, "Oh! Right, yeah!" he hoped he was covering this well enough, and let out a laugh, again casting a slight glance towards the adults, "Yeah that song... I can't believe you found it!" his laugh was forced and too loud. He hoped it had been long enough for King Lydon not to recognize it, but he knew his mother would be asking questions later... Hunter Hunter was a little taken aback by Simon's sudden loud laughter. She blinked a few times before laughing out loud herself. "Yeah... I found that song we were talking about. I'm actually listening to it right now. Actually my friend, Manic, was wondering what you thought about it." She giggled about relating the situation to such mundane teenage issues. Sasuke and Hawk looked over at Hunter with similar questioning glances. Simon "Well listen. I've got an idea. Why don't you and I meet up for coffee, there is a place the dignitaries like to go right near here, you can bring the song on a flash drive or something...I'd like to have a copy so i won't forget it again...really is an amazing song..." Manic "Oh pissing good grief!" Manic had enough, what with Valen's sudden oddness, Black running off to join that deranged 'mage' or whatever she was, and White suddenly acting like a 5 year old again. THEN on top of that; knowing that King Lydon wasn't just after her partner, but was in town specifically for her partner. "Whatever the hell you're talking about....Bloody ******** hell!" Moving with the agility she'd picked up in Japan, she quickly grabbed the phone from Hunter and moved away quickly, jumping from the building to land on a window sill one floor below, holding the phone to her ear and looking up waiting for someone to come get the mobile. "Listen you git. I love music as much as the next person, but you know.... we're in a bit of a ******** PREDICAMENT HERE and we don't have time for your flirtatious CHEESE!" Her arms were flaying with her yelling and then suddenly she stopped. Looked thoughtful for a moment then nodded, "Oh...yee well that does make sense dunnit....Alright then mate....so...yee...leggit where?.....Yeah alright...one second" Manic took the phone from her face, "OI! HUNTER! The genious wants to talk to you!" she calls up gesturing with the phone as if she's about to throw it back up to the roof in an underhanded lob. Hunter Hunter had stared in disbelief at Manic, but then decided why disbelieve Manic's actions... it was Manic after all. She stood on the edge of the roof with one hand on her hip, looking down at Manic like one would a child that had just had a temper tantrum when they were already getting the toy they wanted. She swiftly reached down and took the phone from Manic. As she rebalanced herself on the edge of the roof and began walking casually along it, she put the phone to her ear. "Sorry about that. She is rather impatient if you catch my drift." Simon "So I noticed." his light chuckle was comfortable now, no longer stressed as if he were either a lone, or have fallen into an easy enough pattern to be able to do it flawlessly, "So are we up for coffee? Lets say tonight?" Manic "Manic clambered back onto the roof top and looked around, "Well mates, we've got places to be, and none close by either. Seems Hunter's little boyfriend has some plans for our little group. Lets leggit." she said walking over to the couch and digging through the cushions until she found a pack of cigarettes, "Knew they were here." Hunter Hunter's heart flitted at the thought of a date with Simon, but then remembered this wasn't just a date with the two of them. She wasn't normal. He wasn't normal. And this was not going to be normal. She took a quick breath and answered. "Yeah, coffee sounds great. Where at and what time?" She had to forcibly blink back her disappointment and raise a smile to the surface of her face. At least she'd get another chance to see him, normal or not, she didn't care. Simon "Is six o'clock going to work for you? I've got to get away from my duties here but...Its worth it to see you..." Simon smiled a little a sound which was clear in his voice, "Regrettably I must take my leave, I'm being missed...Forgive me. I hope to see you at six" Hunter Hunter heard the upbeat tone in Simon's voice and again her own heart skipped a little with glee. "Yeah, sure, I'll see you at six then. Bye." She hung up the phone and stared at it for a few extra seconds before shoving it back into her jeans pocket.
