School The city... An international school that stands in a central city. A desired place to be, unless you know the web of lies that keep the city alive. The town has it's history, but a new mutany has recently broke out as top students are pinned against each other in a duel of wits, connections, and power.
The School... The school itself has three stories and over 200 rooms. It was made 120 years ago and is well kept with a many renovations each year. In it, there is everything needed for a rising student to take control of their future. A few gyms, pools, decked out science and tech rooms, spacious classrooms, artrooms... etc.
Student Counil's Room... Student council's room is located on the third floor on the west side of the school. It has some things on the side, but the main focus is the large rectangular table placed inte the middle. Each member has their own chair, depending on their position effects where they sit compared to the President and his red chair. Higher you are, the closer you sit. So here is where much of the face discussion goes on, and where relationships go sour. Will everyone get through the year okay? Will some be removed from this table? Or will some move closer to the red velvet chair... into • description • rules • character layout • characters • updates

But he does enjoy making her fret. Brandon Marx: He was late once and still Arc is holding a grudge...He wants his revenge.♦ About my Past?
It was just last year when Arc had joined the council. He had started off as the setup manager. His charisma and connections had cut down his competition till he found himself on top. This year he's top man, king of the school, and ready to do whatever it takes to continue his stand. Arc is pretty sure he's got everything secure as he seems to take this year as a joke. However, three years ago there were whispers of past relationships that had ended on a little more than a sour note... But it's said they were only rumours.
Although for the most part, he's good at ignoring the gossip. Arc cares more about enjoying his time on top and making everyone else below him work like busy bees. He thinks it may be because of how lazy he actually is, but Arc wouldn't likely admit to it. I can't help but love... ♦ fancy folded napkins ♦ oranges ♦ having power ♦ tea parties ♦ contradictionsBut I can't stand... ♦ cheese ♦ easy women ♦ mainstream music________________________________________________________ Alaura Von Kainlin • x Second Setback x• ♦ Please, call me Alaura♦ ♦ seven-teen♦ ♦ 5"6♦ ♦ I see through dark blue eyes♦ ♦ I love guys♦ ♦ Vice-President♦ ♦ Arc Rebennin: They have a strange yet close friendship, although it's not quite understood how they're relationship has developed. Some link it to a scandal that happened in the school two years ago. ♦ About my Past? Alaura came to the school three years ago when she moved from a small town in the west. Hours she has spent, studying and preparing for school. Nothing means more to her than being the best. When someone threatens that, you could say she gets a little more than upset. Not many people know much more about her than her good manners and sense of leadership. Although she is sometimes seen as a snob for it, Alaura keeps her head held high and wishes to keep herself and her interests secret. And yet... some people question why she's stopped when she's one step away from the prize of being president. Was there some leverage in haulting her? Maybe something that concerns more of blood than paper...
For the most part, Alaura keeps in her odd wimps. More times than she can count, Alaura has wanted to dance in the middle of the hall. However, she knows she has a repuation to keep up. So she lets small wimps like such disapear; or at least until she's alone... I am here to do what is needed, that is all.♦ About my Past? Penelope has always been considered a nerd, excelling in subjects and always ranking highly among her peers. Although that is only where grades are concerned. Due to ridicule, her personality has tightened into a very tough and ruthless shell. She thinks only for grades and reputation only.
Due to this, it was only natural that she would worm her way into the council in some way or another. It is always the quiet ones who have soemthing up their sleeve. I was born on the fifth of November into a large family as one of triplets. My father disappeared from our lives around the time that my sisters and I turned nine. Things went from mediokre to worse. My mother went to work full time at the hospital, leaving my older brother Matthew and his twin sister Hailey to watch us. They weren't very good baby sitters, opting to go out and get into trouble instead. Oasis, Anais, and I learned how to fend for ourselves. We were even cooking our own meals by the age of thirteen.
When Mother finally saw the light and came to terms with the fact that Matthew and Hailey needed help, it was too late. They disappeared from mine and my sisters' lives all together. She instead consoled herself with the fact that my sisters and I were so different from them. Oasis was the athletic one, always finding things to do. She also liked to invent things. Anais was the artist. From the time she could hold a crayon, she was drawing on things. Then there was me. I was the quiet, shy librarian. While I enjoyed reading books, and bringing stacks of them home every week, I also liked to write them. Mother called me her word fiend.
Once in high school, I took on a student job in the library, often replacing the librarian herself. It was no surprise that I became the secretary of the council. With my ability to write everything I see and hear in a quick manner, and competency in keeping things organized, not many are more qualified than I for my job. The old notebooks are in order, and this year's notebook is ready to go. I'm more than ready to take on anything the rest throw at me. I can't help but love...• Books • Quiet • Rain • Fruit • Classical MusicBut I can't stand... ✗ Illiterate People • Loud Noises • Violence • Being Reminded of Hailey and Matthew • Carrots (Ironically)_________________________________________________________ GONE BrandonMarx • Leid• ♦Please, call me Brandon, or Donnie.♦ ♦Eight teen ♦ ♦5'11"♦ ♦Brown♦ ♦I love girls, mostly, but I kinda like guys.♦ ♦Setup Manager♦ ♦He manages to stay on good terms with almost everyone with a wink and a smile. His strongest bonds are with some teachers.♦About my Past?
Brandon is rather new to the student council, and a bit new to the school as well. His family moved from just a few states over the year before and this year Brandon managed to get on the student council as the setup manager. Why his family moved when he was so close to finishing up school was a bit of a mystery, but people will talk.
Brandon being the youngest of three children he was able to learn a lot from his older siblings and it may be thanks to them that he learned that winning smile of his.
I can't help but love... painting drawing writing working with my hands anything creative
But I can't stand... math gym class preps
AFTERMATH: During prepations for the welcome ceremony, Brandon was shot. The shooter is said to have been in the west wing, but it's unsure. The only witness to the event is said to be Alaura Von Kainlin. However, all student council accounts for this tragic accident have been called biased and ignored. Although not killed, Brandon has decided to change schools in hopes for a safer future. _________________________________________________________ Darren Veidt • asialk• ♦ Darren♦ ♦ I am seventeen ♦ ♦ 6'2"♦ ♦ when my eyes aren't black they are blue♦ ♦ I love guys, but I cover it up with lots of girls♦ ♦ Public Official♦ ♦ Arc is most of the reason Darren even considered joining the council. (Extremely secret crush). Brandon is the only person in the school that rivals Darren's charismatic aura, and he hates it.♦ About my Past? Darren was raised a privileged child, getting most anything he wanted when he asked. In most cases this would create a spoiled child and teach them nothing of the real world or work. However for some reason Darren took it another way. He became aware of how easy it is to manipulate people with a smile, a touch, and even simply a few well said words. Thus the boy became a man.
Anything he wanted he received simply because nobody could tell him no. It didn't help that as he grew he developed natural good looks. To call him self centered and egotistical would not be far off from the truth.
However, deep behind the face that everyone knows so well a terrible fear has begun to develop. As Darren realizes that everything he has is simply dependent upon how long he can convince everyone that they should give it to him. If he slips one time he could lose so much, his grades, his 'friends', his reputation, could all be undone.
In an attempt to protect himself, and also due to a secret attraction Darren sought out a position in the council, easily convincing the previous Public Official to step down and hand over the seat. Now, more than ever, Darren spends his time lounging about the school while he should be in classes, and maintains a 4.0 GPA.I can't help but love... Gotta avoid the guy. ♦ Alaura Von Kainlin ♦ Ambitious, isn't she? Does she even know me? ♦ Penelope Middleton ♦ Huh. Wouldn't want to get in her way. ♦ Elizabeth Grey ♦ Hm. She should get out of her shell more. ♦ Brandon Marx ♦ He's a cool guy. Passing acquaintances. ♦ Darren Veidt ♦ Doesn't have much of a liking. Seems a little too 'evil'.♦ About my Past? He was more or less your typical student, he was always pretty good at his classes, had good friends, had an okay family. He might've had a rather demanding father, and an all-too passive mother though. He never liked being in the house, and he was always working one way or another. Until Vince was transferred into this school, far away from his home for undisclosed reasons. Some sort of accident at his old school, or he was expelled, or something. Rumors swirl about since his sunglasses and all-too-laid back attitude makes him stand out to his peers.

Morning is coming... A Morning I won't forget... ARCArc's grey eyes grazed out of the window. His hands pressed against the cold stone that lined it. "Looks like morning is coming." He announced to himself with a grin. The world below looked to be swallowed by darkness as the sky grew a pale orange. It had been a month since the president had stayed in his school all night and he was glad he had. A new year was coming after all, a year that he knew he would never forget.
The man leaned against the window's edge in silence, watching as outside came alive. Slim beams of sunlight grazed along the tall trees' tops as they stood tall and firm. A warm wind gently arose and made the leaves and grass dance. The sweet sparkle of the sun's light reflected against the drew of the ground. 'It's all as it should be.' Arc told himself, 'All as it should be... For now.' At that moment, the student picked himself back onto his feet and started his slowed walk to the Council room. For he knew what would come after the wind, 'The teachers.' He answered himself, 'Then the staff' His feet began to pick up speed, 'And then...' This breath became deep, 'The students.'A Morning I Will Treasure...

★Penelope Middleton★"This council isn't just an excuse to party..." _____________________________________________________________________________ Penelope heaved her bag, brimming with school books to a higher purchase on her shoulder, as she neared the school gates. It was always best to be early. Allowed you to prepare for the day, so there was no rushing, and you were not crushed against lockers ad into doorways with the throngs of students. Being of short stature, it was often that she was not seen by her taller peers, and so the comfort of being able to walk from A to B without being bustled about in any way shape or form was rather pleasant.
However, she knew she would not be the only one making an early entrance. Arc seemed forever present. Well, she supposed he was, the council president, but it still felt a little unnerving, especially when one wished to rise through the ranks.
She soon made her way into the school, traversing corridors until she got to the council's room. Pulling her bag back up her shoulder again, she opened the door slwoly, giving a small nod to arc, before seating herself in her place casually, and procuring a book, which she hastened to start reading. "Hello Arc", she said quite simply, and kept it at that. Penelope was not one much for interaction.

I know a tiny place, Just a dot, Too small to measure. Elizabeth stepped out of the library quietly, shutting the door gently behind her. She'd been in there since the crack of dawn, putting books in their ordered places, making sure the computers were all running smoothly, and updating student library records. The brunette was nothing if not efficient in what she did. It was probably the reason she'd kept her job in the library, and on the student council, since she came to this school. She wouldn't say anything to your face, but she was rather proud of that fact. Of course, who wouldn't be? Student council was as high as you got on the food chain. She intended to keep her spot as long as she was here.
The short brunette turned and headed down the hallway. She had to get to the student council room to put away last semester's notes and ready this semester's notebook for their meeting. Ah the joys of a routine morning. She liked her life in order as such. The council pretty much kept it that way too. Most of the time it was pretty predictable, unless someone decided to upset the order of things. Then she was easily flustered until she found a way to organize around it. Let everyone else have their messes, she'd keep her life in order and in tact.
Elizabeth stepped into the council room. Her eyes fell upon the forms of Arc, their president, and Penelope, their treasurer. "Good morning, you two." She said softly as she walked in, shutting the door behind her. She headed over to a cabinet and pulled one of the binders out of her cable knit bag. She placed it gently in it's spot and quietly closed the door. She then pulled out a second notebook and set it in front of her normal seat. There, things were in order. She could relax until class now. She leaned against the table and looked around the room. Not much had changed since last semester. She was glad to see that. Alaura VonKainlin Her hand began to fidget with her right earing, a nervous tendency that had stayed with her since she was younge. Alaura knew what came with this day, it was the end of her pitiful social life out of school and the day she would have to face that man again. Even just the thought sent goosebumps up her spine as she treaded past the black gates of the school. Her feet fell slower and slower when the feeling beagn to build up. 'Alaura, don't worry. You can do this. You've gotten through everything before, you can get through this now.' The lie was forced into her mind in an attempt to kill her fears. It failed.
Before reaching the frontdoors, the student paused. Holding her breath for a moment, Alaura meditated on calming herself down from her worried state. If she entered now she knew Arc would have his fun at making sure she bleed emotionally for being intimidated by him. But that was a small price to pay compared to what would happen if she were late. So after stroking her thumb on the golden doorhandles several times, Alaura pulled the large door open and stepped inside.
The echo of her footstep quietly rang through the enormous entery hall. Its decor laying silently as if impatiently waiting for another school year. Or maybe that's just what Alaura was feeling, she couldn't tell nor frankly care. Although time felt pressing on the vice-president, she couldn't help but take her sweet time to examine the haunting paintings of past principles and student councils. This was the legacy of the school; a legacy she would have to keep up. Most members had dressed to their best, while other more rebellious students had worn ragged, unpleasant looking clothes for the picture. Even some presidents had decided to make a lazy change in outfit for the picture that would hang in this hall forever. However the faces had been imprinted on Alaura's heart as she took hours every year to remind herself of how far this school had grown and who had prepared the way. And although Alaura Von Kainlin knew it was only highschool, there was something here that would change her life forever.
After paying her small respect to the photos, Alaura climbed the great staircase to the third floor with haste before disapearing behind the enterence of the student council's room.

Arc Rebennin& Alaura Von Kainlin "Hello ladies," Arc replied with a small nod. His hand was pulled across the top of this red chair as he stared forward. "I'm sure you all know we a lot planned for this year. For those who have not been kept up to date, we're currently planning on having three dances, four guest speakers, and several school events. Speaking of which, our christmas party is coming soon, as well as our awards show. Which I'm sure you all are extatic about. Now does any-" In the middle of his sentence, the council door was dragged ajar with a small squeal of the hings. His eyes met with Alaura's as she silently entered. A sly smirk grew on his face as he examined his old friend further. It had been a while since the two had seen each other, a while longer than Arc had liked and to his thanks, she hadn't changed at all. He watched for a minute longer before speaking up, "You know it's rude not to say hi, Alaura." The president stated with a sly grin, "I know making a good impression isn't your best talent ever, but it's never to late to get better." The man watched over her curiously, hoping to see her at least slightly cringe from his answer.
-----------------
Alaura sighed, held a small smirk, and glared at Arc with more patience than she actuall felt, "I've also never been very good at pleasing you either. But that's something I don't plan on getting better at now." When her eyes met with his, she knew she should at least humour him. So when her feet began to step forward, the vice-president forced a wide smile and began calling out,"Hello Penelope. Hello Elizabeth. Hello King Arc." She nodded to each one as she called their name, giving the president a bash of her eyelashes. Alaura took a several more steps before the smile grew old. Finally she sat in her chair to the right of the red throne and layed her hands on her lap. She knew it was a little dramatic for his reply, but it somehow made her happy and relaxed some of the stress she had felt only moments ago.
-------------------
Arc was slightly amused with her little reply, but felt that he shouldn't give her the thrill of seeing him smile, so he continued on his previous question, "Now that Alaura has gracefully joined us, does anyone have any questions about these events?" The student stopped pacing for a moment as he eyed each member. Their full names and marks had been memorized by him since the first day they were accepted into the council. He was sure that they all had their secrets and scandals, exspecially his best friend, but even with the chance to set flame to some old coals, Arc had planned to take his time and make sure that he could pull as much enjoyment out of this as he could. This was his year after all, his last year.

I know a tiny place, Just a dot, Too small to measure. Elizabeth watched the others intently for a moment. She knew them all well enough. Familiar faces were easier to work with. She'd never bothered to get to know them all the way. Their histories didn't interest her, their lies nor dislikes either. They all had their quirks and their talents, and while that made them unique, they were all still a few of a thousand in Lizzie's eyes. Personal relationships were best left being few and far between in her mind. While she was kind, she wasn't going to go out of her way just to be nice to anyone. She wasn't interested in having friends. As far as she was concerned, if someone wanted to be your friend they had their own alternative agenda, and it wasn't always going to be beneficial to both parties.
"Ah, here's a question Arc. What about our graduating class?" She asked him. He was only a few months ahead of her in age. They'd been in the same class for a good little while now. "When are we going to meet to vote on class song, flower, motto, and colors?" She asked, resting her hands on the back of her chair. Her deep brown eyes searched his for reaction for a moment. She was sure that being reminded that he was soon to be no longer the president of this council would rile him slightly. He seemed to like his position of power within this school. "There's so much to be done." Elizabeth herself was not bothered by leaving the council. She was going to suggest her own successor before it all ended. Arc Rebennin Arc's shoulder's stiffened at the sound of graduation. He knew it was coming, but it wasn't something he was interesting in discussing just yet. So, calmly he waved it off. "Ah, that's in nine months. Let's take this year in strides, shall we?" The president gracefully flicked his hand as he replied. With his eyes half closed, Arc stared to the open window behind his chair. He watched the outside world as the last hidden shadows filled with light. The cool wind of day picking up to a slow flow and brushed through the courtyard tree's leaves. The small song birds that had sung only minutes ago died down to a low complaint, for they knew what time it was and it was no longer the innocence of morning. Still, Arc had to concentrate on his council, so he added, "But I was thinking about the calla lily this year for a flower. Always pretty. So white, so pure. Unlike Alaura's heart." Arc flipped his hair to get a quick glance at his vice-president who hadn't seem to notice his snarky comment.
Sighing, the student took a seat in his red throne and prepared to organize the day. "So, does anyone know what is happening in the auditormium in just five hours?" Arc asked, somewhat uninterestedly. His arms had become crossed as his head hung to one side. "Anyone?" The man rose an eyebrow to the group as he flipped his hair once more.

★Penelope Middleton★"This council isn't just an excuse to party..." _____________________________________________________________________________ Penelope gave a small nod to Elizabeth as she entered, before casually returning to her book. Play your cards close to your chest, even if someone appears nice and friendly. The secretary was no exception. At least she wasn't discriminating, everyone got the same cold treatment.
As Arc began to speak again and get down to business once Alaura entered, Penelope lowered her book from her nose, placing it on the table softly and listening intently to his words, before giving a small inward scowl as the petty bickering between him and the vice president began. It was so childish. She was wondering when it would start up.
Her inward smile turned to a small smirk at Elizabeth's question. It was a great attack on Arc - after all, this was his last year as lord of the manor. After that, he would be gone. And someone would get his place, maybe someone in this room...
However, she found it wise to add to the enquiries from her seat as treasurer. "So many events this year - it will take a toll on our budget. Some events will have to be sponsored, either that or we will have to charge entry fee." Penelope then heard his comment about the lily, "and calla lilies annoy me. They're not even lilies, they are genuses."
"And I have no clue what is happening in five hours time", the girl replied, "why, is it of importance?"
