Today is a very sad day for me and my boyfriend

My familiar that I have know for 2 years and his dog he has been best friends with for 17 years is being put down today...


He doesn't want to bring chi (the dog) home after he is put down...


Is there a ceremony I can do or something?
And maybe some ways to make my boyfriend feel better?
