Hihouno. A local medical ninja clan. Most of the family grow up to be doctors. They are herbal experts, highly advanced in concocting medicines. By medicines, the clan defines this the ability to synthesize catalysts for heightening skills or abilities. Usually, the catalysts are ingested or inhaled. Despite being medical nin, the Haruno clan is not exactly popular, for their treatments are usually seen as 'alternative medicine', or too drug-reliant. It does not help too, that a few clansmen in the history of the clan have become addicted and died due to the catalysts they have created. Because of this, the family is very close-knit.

Appearance Description
Tall for her age, Rie, the older one, is lanky and thin. She disguises this physique by clothing, usually wearing a shortened black kimono with the usual long sleeves to cover all of her arms. Her obi doubles as kunai holder and a sort of utility belt. Under the kimono, she wears shorts and net leggings.
Both have long dark hair worn loose. Their complexion is fair, from being too much indoors and in the shade. The Hihouno clan looks different from the usual darker people of Kumogakure, probably because of their medicine. Rie's face is small and unremarkable, not traditionally beautiful, and it is obvious that Himiko is prettier.
Personality and History
The older sibling has grown up acutely aware of the unpopularity of their medical methods. Whenever her playmates got scraped or scratched, they always refused to get treated by her mom. It stuck, and although she did not harbor ill-feelings towards her friends, it pushed her to study more of the normal medical jutsu taught in the academy. Being the eldest child though, the clan's most secret methods still has to be passed down to her and only her. To date, she does not practice Reiyuno medical jutsu apart from her training with her parents.
Rie is relatively an extrovert though, frank but polite, and has learned to brush off criticisms about her family. She has a desire for her and most especially her sister to blend in.
Separated by only two years, the younger sister is more impressionable. Himiko's world revolves around how great her big sister is, and is always at her side. She's less calm and more talkative, but is more sensitive to the opinion of others.
The defining thing about the sisters is their relationship with each other. The elder sister has an almost frightening sense of protectiveness and stewardship over her little sister. She helps her study everything to excel, except the family jutsu, which she states as something that will come in due time. In truth, she does not plan to.
