Hi I run a charity, and I want some suggestions on how I can boost it's gold amount. Whilst the Charity mule has a well stocked tank for booty grabbing and I use it to play booty grab every day I feel that investing items is going to give me a better return in the end.
So I am looking for suggestions on what I can do

In the simplest terms: buy the items when they're priced low and sell them high.
Yes, items are the best value for long term, but they also tie up capital while you have them. So you need to pick items that are reasonably priced right now that will have some kind of appeal and thus appreciate in price sometime down the road.
However, the details of how to do this is what this entire guild is all about. So it's not something that can be answered in one post.
An important thing to remember is that there are only two prices that are important to you when you're working with an item you have for investment: the price you buy it at, and the price you sell it at. What happens in between just doesn't matter. The price only matters at those two points in the life cycle.
