...In buying designer clothes just for the label? Do you believe in flaunting just how many designer garments you own?
1. No, I do not. I believe that you should buy clothes, regardless of the label, because they are flattering and because you truly love them. In the past, I have wasted a lot of money on designer apparel that was neither becoming nor lovable. Now I hardly own anything that carries a designer label.
Of course, one has to consider quality, but there are plenty of stores that offer quality clothing for a lower price.
2. Well, I don't believe that the label makes the [wo]man, but if you're proud of your outfit, you're proud. Doesn't matter where it came from -- if you've got something you're happy about, I don't think you should feel badly about wanting to share the news. Just be tactful about it. smile

Uh, yeah. I do.
I think you should buy clothes, without having to justify your reason, because it's what makes YOU happy. If working your a** off and buying expensive purses makes you happy, then by all means, reward yourself. If you want to buy clothes for comfort, and that's what makes you happy, then buy it.
If I worked for months just to afford the $860 pair of shoes that I want, then I'll be damned if some girl goes up to me, telling me not to flaunt my expensive s**t because they think it's tacky. neutral
I prefer the punk/bohemian look, so I don't have to dress expensively, but I do have some pretty pricey items that I'm VERY proud of and I LOVE wearing out.

I would be pretty pissed if someone told me it was tacky to be proud of clothes that I worked hard to get. And shoes are one area that I say you should splurge the most. Despite how people might try to debunk it, more expensive shoes -- heels most especially -- are way more comfortable and don't seem to hurt one's feet as badly. Purses are good to splurge on, too. I've wasted too much money on crappy cheap ones that fall apart and are constantly in need of being replaced. Basically, what I'm getting at is that sometimes you need to spend a little extra money (and it's nice to have something different that not everyone will be seen in). But, I don't think you should feel like you must do it to fit in. If designer things are what you love and you buy them because they make you feel good, then go for it! But if you're doing it to please other people, I think it takes away from the joy of dressing yourself. Flaunting a heavily sought-after item is sort of a rite of passage. They're your spoils of war, and no one should feel like it's bad to show them off. In the same token, though, I wouldn't recommend being snotty about it.

♨ I somewhat believe in buying clothes just for the label. But not to flaunt it around but for quality and style.
Who wouldn't be psyched to have a $1400 Marc Jacobs bag? (; ..LOL, not that I own one. But seriously who wouldn't?

Just for the label? Well if you really like it, sure, but if you just want to buy a really expensive purse just because it has the F of Fendi patterned all over it, then no. If you like how the purse is "designed" then yes, and it does feel nice to go out with a 300$ coach bag or something of the sort.
What I personally HATE, is people who buy a bunch of designer clothes and flaunt it (especially when I know they don't work for it [rich husbands or inheritance?] or they're too young [in my opinion]). I hate it when rich girls walk up to me and say stuff like, "Oh. What should I go to the party with tomorrow? I have a dress by Betsey Johnson... oh but I should go either with my Mori Lee dress... yes! and they'll go great with these D&G shoes my mom bought me last week!"
But that's just me. I don't mind people wearing designer stuff.... just don't yell out how it's a Burberry Coat when you stain it and make a scandall about it. Yes, it's a very pretty coat, but you're only getting a big "I WILL MUG YOU" label on your head, and a snobby impression.

Just for the sake of it? No. If you love it and splurge? Yes.
I always feel like a princess when I wear something designer that I love. 4laugh

...In buying designer clothes just for the label? Oh yes. It's like a status symbol. Flaunt what you have.
Do you believe in flaunting just how many designer garments you own? Yes, but it doesn't mean you have to excessively and obviously flaunt xD
Like the most I'd go out of my way to flaunt something is have the label showing. ie: If there's a big Prada or Biagio printing on one side of a bag, I'd have that side showing.

I don't buy just for labels, but it just so happens that many of the things I like simply are from expensive labels.
It also depends on my financial situation - if I have the money, I'll splurge. If I don't, I'll go for imitations, which I don't like doing.
I definitely splurge the most on shoes.

If you didn't earn it, you don't get to flaunt it. At least not without looking like a douche. As far as being too young, the main problem I have with that is that when your parents spoil you with designer clothes, you don't appreciate them. If all know know is 100% great quality, you can't understand that they are better not for the labels that are sewn into them, but for the simple fact that they are made well. You can never have empathy for those who desire but cannot afford them.

Kiss me... 1. No. I don't buy designer. Okay, I HAVE some designer items, yes, but I got them at charity shops. It's a waste of time, in my opinion. I mean, if you want to buy something designer because you like it, or because you think it looks good on you, or the quality is really good or whatever, that's fine. If you buy a pair of jeans that are completely identical to another pair except for the fact that they have some silly symbol on them, and they're like... £100 more or something, then that's just ridiculous! It's the quality that matters, not whether it has some dumb label.
2. Like I already said, I don't buy designer, and as far as I'm concened, if someone wants to flaunt all their designer stuff, go ahead. It just means that the rest of us can see that they wasted a ridiculous amount of money on some clothing. What. Ever.

1.I think only if you truly love the piece you should get it. Because that Balenciaga bag is just the most stunning piece of art you've ever seen, not because every other girl in your class has that Coach bag. I mean, there are tons of designer things I would give an arm and a leg for(but won't currently as I'm a jobless 16-year-old living off of a dad who doesn't see why I need more than 3 shirts from Wal-Mart and whatever money my mom slips me under the table, most of which goes places other than my clothes). But all the things I would kill for are not something you could find for cheaper, and way more than just a label. They're not just some boring, basic s**t with a logo smacked on it.
2.Don't flaunt just to flaunt. Don't just randomly say, 'Oh, did you notice my new gawwwww-geous Margiela boots?' I mean, the people who will actually recognize the designer you're talking about will make it apparent, the people who you have to tell won't, and won't care when you tell em. Don't be a showy b***h, just be confident in yourself and what you're wearing and bring it up only when it needs to be. On the contrary, don't let it just rot in your closet. Things like that need to be worn.

I don't see why not for some if they want to splurge on just a label. Personally, I need it to be appealing to me and I am picky as ******** when it comes to clothing and shoes. Actually, high price tags usually push me away and I'll find something else that I like for cheaper.
But sometimes I have this habit of seeing something, and then buying it regardless of price because I had a "love at first sight moment".
I've got to stop that hahahaa.

No.. I think that buying something just because you like the label is sort of ridiculous ((no offense to those who said yes)). I mean if I go to one place and buy something that is way off-chart expensive that I could have bought at my local walmart, then I don't see the point. Now that could be because I was raised cheap because we don't even make money to have cabel or electricity most of the time but I just don't see the point. It'd be a waste. And for the point of saying its a status symbol. Yeah it is. And do you notice that the people that buy the stuff normally keep pushing the peoplethat can't afford it down? There is no need for it, really.
