Favorites anyone?
I'm currently in love with Miss Dior Cherie eau de parfum.
It smells so light and it just smells so freaking sweet!

But of course, I don't actually own it. LOL.
I'm begging my mom to get it for me for Christmas.
I just got a sample from a magazine.
I've been sniffing it all dayyy.

QUESTION:
Whats the difference between stuff like "eau de parfum" or "toillete" and all those other words I read on perfumes?
Haha.. I don't speak French.
._.

The difference btw parfume and toilette is the concentration of ethanol and water in an aroma solvent.

I like Vera Wang's Rock Princess, Dior Poison, Ralph Lauren Wild, and Chanel No. 5.

I don't usually like or wear perfume, but from experience, those are the best I've ever had.

The difference is that

Perfume has 15-40% perfume concentrates (most expensive)
Eau de Parfum has 7-15% perfume concentrates (most popular, long lasting and cheaper than perfume.)
Eau de Toilette has 1-6% perfume concentrates (light scent that doesn't linger as long as more intense versions; originally intended to be a refreshing body splash to help people wake up in the morning.)

Favourite is: Guerlain Insolence Eau Glacée Eau De Toilette.

mmm! Smells like ballet to me. Really it is red berries, green apple sorbet and elegant iris flowers to name a few. (:

Guerlain Shalimar and Idylle are both different but good. Guerlain <3

Shiibz is spot-on. However, I would like to add that "perfume" is also used as a pedestrian way to describe a fragrance, like in the case of this thread.

I have recently fallen in love with Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue. It's floral and citrusy all at once, and it's so refreshing. For an Eau de Toilette, it lasts forever, and it's quite strong, so it doesn't take much.

I also like CK One. It's fresh and unisex.

My aunt wears Chanel No. 5, but I have never liked it with my body chemistry.

I love Chanel's Chance and YSL's Baby Doll. That and not to mention a handful of Bath and Body Work's Splashes whee

I never really wore much perfume before the past month or so. My friend gave me a bottle of Beyond Paradise (Estee Lauder I think) and I wear it everyday.

This will sound strange, but my favorite thing to do is throw my clothes in the dryer for about 3 minutes in the morning with a few sprays of perfume. The scent latches on a will last much longer than putting it on the skin.

I'm not a huge fan of perfume. I just don't like flowery fragrances, I prefer light fruity smells so I just stick to body spray. Though I do like White Shoulders perfume, it has a very elegant smell.

Edit: Why is my post way at the top lol?

I stick to Bath and Body's body sprays, for the most part, because anything else seems to make my allergies act up. I have a lot of the little travel bottles, so I can alternate between scents. My favorite is Japanese Cherry Blossom, though.

The one perfume I have is Lucky No. 6, one of the few perfumes
that doesn't make me sneeze. I love it. I also love Aerie's newest perfume (the one with the bird on the bottle... I can't remember the name). I plan to buy myself a bottle of it next time I'm at the mall. <3
