Before you say anything, let me tell you I am not talking about time, which, undoubtedly, is a dimension, but not a SPATIAL dimension - slight difference. Thus why it is called the space/TIME continuum.
So. Here's where I start ranting on about an idea I got that I can barely justify, if at all, and creating a wall of text.
Actually, I got the idea from the book Flatland: A Romance of Many Dimensions narrated by A. Square. I had to read it this past summer for my mathematics class this year, and BOY is it hard to get through the first few chapters! So, I was supposed to read and review it, but instead, I decided to introduce a new dimension in my essay, as opposed to actually reviewing the book itself.
This dimension I labeled as the fourth, simply to keep with the numbering, and the simplicity. But truly, the title it deserves is Thoughtland, the name A. Square gave his idea of the fourth dimension(1D was Lineland, 2D was Flatland, 3D was Spaceland).
When I created the idea, it all clicked. Thoughtland was, supposedly, the land where one of this dimension could touch the insides of a Spacelander, as a Spacelander could touch the insides of a Flatlander, and so on down the line. A Thoughtlander would also be able to move in and out of closed rooms in Spaceland without opening doors or finding any other way to enter.
My definition of what Thoughtland is: Thoughtland is the dimension in which all beings, objects, and abstract things are composed of entirely energy, and is completely devoid of physical matter. Translation: Thoughtland has no physical stuff. It is all energy, or thoughts. Thus, any Thoughtlander could enter a Spacelander to touch their insides, and could, using the same method, pass through walls and doors to enter rooms without making a passage.
If that is confusing, I would suggest reading the book, for most of the references are only understandable if you know what I am talking about, and it is all in/based on the book.
Truly, I think that is the shortest description of my Thoughtland idea that I have ever written.....^^
So.....what do you guys think?
