Our little theme is revolution, rebellion, Independence and elves. If it fits that then it will be up for the voting.
I want at least five and if I don't get them before 2009 ends then I and KC will decide. I rather though the entire guild be involved though so go and be artsy!

i can make concept designs if someone else can draw them...?
how's this...
a burning castle in the background, with a starry night sky. in the front, is Trixie, KC's character (sorry for forgetting th name! gonk ), and that other's girl's character. they can be posed simply, like Trix holding a weapon against the back of her neck with her other arm slack, KC's character winking and pointing a weapon in fron of her, and the other girl's character standing sideways looking forward with her arms crossed. ya know, classic group pose banner.
*grabs Pen's Bootie, 66/17* woah... O-O 66, then, 17. 7 - 1 = 6. 66/6. 666.

Nice. I like the idea for the poses and make it look like the women in the guild are BA but its a little too centered around one aspect of the guild. Though we are big RP guild we still have other things to offer. As I said in the first post, "Our little theme is revolution, rebellion, independence and elves." I did some research and this is what I came up with. I might still need to play with the text but I thought the lotus was a good emblem to start and went from there. It represents freedom which is the point of independence and I made look more tattoo like which is common in rebellions.

Hmm. The only thing I would suggest is a light blue background. That way it could be tattooed on a dark elf. But I like the lotus idea biggrin
As for the text... it reminds me of the Dark Elf Kingdom banner. Which to me represents sophistication. Not something you commonly link with rebellions.
So maybe a font that is plainer, or maybe... gah, can't explain it right, but perhaps remniscent of someone writing it on a wall or something? If that makes sense?

That makes sense. I'll test with some blue backgrounds. I wasn't very happy with the text so something that shows more force and less elegance is fine with me. I'll post the next draft soon. biggrin

confused forgive me please, but i do feel like your use of the Lotus feels to me to be a little pretentious. i'd rather not go into detail about why i feel that way. but i won't object realy.
i see nothing wrong with elegance, so how about a caligraphy-styled text? that mixes both worlds. the Japanese did that when they evolved from a Chinese Outcasts community, to a Tribal Warlord Country, to an Independant Nation of Perfectionists. Caligraphy represents a mixture of Determination, Culture, Perfection and Elegance. it was a Meditation as much as an Art, and it is still commonly seen in territorial tags by street gangs. those of a more sophisticated line that is. i'm not talking about rebels without a cause, mindlessly fighting the world. no, i'm talking about the opressed stepping up to make a difference.

Well I don't see how it looks pompous since its just a flower in the middle of a banner. Are you referring the coloring or how it has been sized? Or maybe its position?
That text is Calligraphy as close as my computer can get. I put a shadow on it for it to stand out but it still doesn't do that very either. A simpler text might contrast with the lotus enough to stand out.

i wouldn't say pompous exactly... it's very specific what i mean. and as i said, i am not going to explain.
hmm... that is a shame.... oh well, simple text it is then. smile try spray-painted style if ya can?
heheh... kinda reminds me of that scene in the KG RP where alternative luc grounded his teenage son for skipping youth group to go spraypainting a building and having sex with his girlfriend...behavior that i'd personaly encourage, by the way! xd

Ok...No. I didn't need to know that and being a avid goody goody I looked down on that, as Luc did. I played around with that and it just seemed off. Too gang like and not revolutionary. Number two.

meh. rolleyes no child of mine is going to waste time in a religion... that certainly wasn't a "goody goody" thing anyway. i see it as so... entrapping... why would it be so awful to encourage artistry, independance, and romance? confused realy, i'm just asking. i'd like to understand teh other side.
anywho, that's actually a better banner, i lik it, looks like it would wave proudly as a flag. biggrin
