Srs. What are you doing to advance the cause of the people? Do you just log on to Gaia, come here, talk about how you support the cause, and then go home to watch your cappie-sponsored t.v.? You out on the streets, organizing with people to provide them with shelter from the shitbag cappies?
Has this guild helped a single one of ya to go out and help someone, anyone, to live a better, freer, life? How many of you take for granted, and enjoy, the conveniences of the consumerist culture of the West?

Various things.
I cook and donate what food I have to people in need. I provide transportation to people without any. I volunteer with local autism support groups (I get to meet an autistic Hindu priest on Friday). I volunteer my meager graphics and writing skills to groups. I've loaned my futon to people who have need of a place to stay.

Given this, my ideal society is one where each region or city (I prefer city) has its own form of democratic centralism, with disagreeing citizens free to relocate to another city where decisions have been made more to their liking.

Democratic Centralism is an organisational structure of a political party, and implementing it as an organisational form of government leads to little more than bureaucratic centralism. As a means for organising the revolutionary party, DC says that once something is agreed upon, that's it. People can still dispute it at party meetings, and talk about it in their free time, but when doing party work, you do what the party has decided. Trying to enact that as a principle of government will end up with either a bullshit parliamentary talk-shop, or a heavy-handed bureaucratic apparatus.

Going up to people or infront of a town meeting and stating "I MAKE A MOTION TO OVERTHROW BOURGEOIS CULTURE ECONOMICS AND IDEOLOGY" doesnt do much bu make you look like a crack pot. Also if you do not believe that a form of Town Meeting Time or Roberts Rules of Order which are the basic principles of US local government for 350+ years (town Meeting Time and 125+ years for Roberts rules) then I believe your mistaken. Soviets in the US and even Unions in the US follow such guidelines.

I'm a member of my local YCL, but I can't really participate very well considering it's a considerable drive away and I'm without da wheels. So basically, I do very little, but I do try to participate in the various protests and the more important functions, as well as read all the newsletters and pay mah dues and all that makes me a valued comrade. Mostly, though, I just let my views be known in general and explain them in specifics.
