I liked the hobbit!! I thought it moved a little slow in the beginning, but towards the middle it really picked up!

Does it have only hobbits, or does it have elves and humans too?

One wizard, one hobbit, and twelve dwarfs.

Also featuring an assortment of trolls, goblins, wolves, eagles, spiders, elves, humans and a big ol' dragon.

Warmly recommended. smile

Neat, I'll read it. I already checked out Fellowship of the Ring from the library. Hey, someone's got to take a stand against all those fangirls carrying around copies of Twilight. ninja

I don't really like The Hobbit. It's written for kids, and it shows. The text is quite childish and the characters are flatter than in LOTR.

but i've realized that most books are written at a 4-8 grade level so yeah is gonna be a bit childish but thats not what counts. what counts is how the book ended.
