Jusei tightened her scarf when a bitter wind blew their way.
"Gento. Are you sure we should be going back?" she asked quietly.
"If you don't think you're ready-" Gento replied, whipping around and ponting a gun to her head before it was clear he even touched his holster. Jusei pulled out her gun with a speed just as impressive and unsheathed her blade, pressing it against his throat.
Gento smiled, "We can turn around. But you look mighty ready where I'm standing."
Jusei gave him a smile only he got to see and put away her weapons.
Gento tipped his hat down and sauntered through the entrance of the town, almost completely empty.
Jusei glanced around and yanked her scarf up to hide her face. It wouldn't help much since she was known more for her hair.

Kiriai glanced around the bar, or 'saloon' as the regulars called it, and smiled slightly as she filled a glass with scotch. She looked up when someone walked in, muttering something about new people heading in. She arched a brow at him before turning back to business.

Jusei swung open the doors of the saloon and walked in with Gento. She took a seat in the corner of the room while Gento sat at the bar.

Kiriai sighed quietly and finished with refilling one of the regulars' glasses for the fifth time before she walked over to Gento.
"Can I get you anything?" she asked with a sweet smile.

Gento smiled back, "Scotch would be mighty fine."
Jusei glanced at a group of Hakuseki members and pulled her hat down further

Kiriai smiled and nodded. "Comin' right up." She filled a glass with scotch and slid it over to him before she tightened the length of white ribbon that she kept tied around her neck.

Gento tilted his hat up, "Hakuseki, eh?"
Jusei fidgeted slightly when the men playing cards looked at her.

Kiriai kept smiling, though it turned a little colder. "No. I'm just a barkeep."

Gento nodded and glanced back at Jusei as the men walked over to her.
"That can't be you little Jusei." one said with malicious grin.
"How half breed life treatin' ya'?" another cackled.

Jusei smirked and tossed her hat in the air.
They all blinked and watched it, promptly being busted in their noses by her pistol and the handle of her sword.
Gento scowled and his hand twitched closer to his gun.

Kiriai sighed quietly and fired a warning shot above their heads, her revolver suddenly drawn.
"You wanna fight, you take it outside," she called.

Jusei twirled both her weapons before sliding them back in their places, "Who said we were fighting?"
Gento sighed and walked over, grabbing her hand and dragging her out, "Sorry 'bout that."

Kiriai slid her pistol back into its holster and pointed to one of the men, then at the upper part of the wall that the warning shot had created a hole through.
"And you're fixing that. Now."

The man rubbed his nose and slid his free hand in his pocket, "Humph. You the one that fired the shot. But if you want me to maybe I should tell Shiroi first."
