A young woman with brown hair tied up in ribbons was walking down a road. She had on a multicolored skirt, brown pants underneath that, with strong brown traveling boots. She also wore a white shirt that was covered with a blue bodice. On her back was a lyre and a traveling pack, and she had a longsword on one hip and a whip on the other.
She walked along, looking at everything around her, taking in the sites as she traveled from the town she'd just come from to wherever she would end up next. Always traveling and exploring, adventurer was in her blood. She wondered briefly if she'd meet anyone along the way down the road.

Standing against a pole was a young man holding a sign. He stood about six foot five inches tall with brown hair and thick eyebrows. The wind blew his hair and coat as he stood there. His crimson shirt underneath looked old and worn and he was covered in dust. Sun glinted off the circular sunglasses as he spotted the woman and held his sign up to her. It read simply 'will kill stuff for money'.

"Hrm?" the young woman asked, slowly approaching the man by the pole. "Hail and well met M'lord! Are you an adventurer too?" She blinked at him and took in his appearance. Ever curious she was, and eager always to make new friends. "I sadly don't need anything killed... though there is a town a ways back who might have some work in that regard..."

The man let out a sigh and let the sign fall out of her view. "Oh." He said and shrugged holding it up again,through some perversion of the universe the sign now read 'Body guard for hire' "Is that a little better?" He asked as he cocked his head to the side a bit. The glasses on his face flashed slightly.

"Yes, possibly... though I don't have much money. Bards don't get paid a lot these days...even for adventuring jobs," she said. "The most I can offer is some food. I stocked up on real food before I left town...and I'm pretty good at fishing." She fidgeted with her hands. "Oh, and music of course. I am a bard after all. But I'm looking for work myself, and the town's tavern was so small, hard to make much in tips...but at least they gave me a meal and room and board for the night..."

He shrugged. "Gimmie five silver and I'll help ya till the next town.gotta stock up on Kunai and the like." He said with a bit of a brush of his hair. "Sound like a deal?" He asked as he set the sign down in the dirt.

"I think I can manage that... oh wait..." she pulled out a small gem. "Will this be enough?" It was a black opal gem. "Though I don't really have a need of a bodyguard...it'd be nice not to travel alone."
"My name is Chris Talespinner by the way, it still is a pleasure to meet you," she said.

He nodded and took the gem from her hand,looking it over. "Should do." He said as he put it in his pocket. "My names Loki Linoy,nice to meet you." He said as he reached into his coat and grabbed something. He came out with a set of claws on his hand,strapping them onto his wrist.They had been hidden in his jacket's inside pocket. They were about nine inches long and looked quite sharp,curving at the end so that they looked like they could grip.

"Sir Loki, its a pleasure to meet you," she said, bowing at him again. "It'll be nice having travel company."
She looked at his blades. "Wow... what are those? They look very sharp... are you a monk of some kind?"

"They're Zanryu Rippers." He said as he flexed his wrist a bit. "Specially made for fighter nin,which is what I am." He said as he bowed his head at her slightly,his glasses shining again. "We're kind of like fighters with super powers.Just can't wear armor."

"Ah, I see. Fancy name!" she said twirling around and skipping a little down the path again. "I wear armor... doesn't always help though, but least its something..."
"I've never heard of a fighter nin before... sounds interesting! Come walk! You can tell me about it?"

Loki walked over and started down the path with her,his head low as his glasses shined again. "Well...We're not really big. Not alot of ninja's train to be fighter Nin. We use Jutsu's for attacking rather than defense and sneaking around." He said as he made sure the long claws on his hand were tight. "We also use much different weapons,favoring claws and Kunai over Kama's and shurikens."

"Jutsu? What's that?" Chris asked as she walked, smiling brightly. "Kunai... you mentioned it before... I don't think I've seen one of those before. I just fight with my longsword, whip and bow..."

"Jutsu...you must not get out often." He said and reached into his coat. He pulled out a knife that had a loop at the end,designed for throwing. This one was long and thin and had a triangular blade on it. "First this is a kunai...It's a special knife. Jutsu are how us ninja fight,we use the chakra's in our bodies to use various 'abilities'. "He closed his eyes and the kunai started glowing blue. "Like this." He said and threw the knife at a nearby tree. As it hit the tree it burrowed into the wood and exploded,sending splinters into the road.

"I've been traveling plenty, but there's still things I haven't heard of," she said. "Ahhh...wow... that looks like a wicked hard blade to wield..."
"Is it like magic? How we channel arcane and divine abilities to cast spells then?"
"WHOA!" She watched hte tree explode. "That was amazing!"
