Grand Opening!

Good Evening my fellow Elves, Welcome to my humble establishment.
Some of you might be aware of the history of telling stories. The reason of this establishment is to continue the history. Here is where your story can be heard.

Story Telling Style One
You can get up on this counter and tell all who is here your story using the Post style Shout

Ex. So and so leaned over to the bartender and whispered "style one". The Bartender whilsted getting everyone's attention as so and so climbed on the counter. All gathered to hear as So and so began to speak.

Style Two
You can lean over to your fellow Elf and tell him or her your story using the Post style Whisper
(regardless if I'm online or not You can say I came over leaned over whatever just tell the story)

Ex. So and so got Pen"s attention with a wave. Pen on her lunch break sat across So and so. " Would you like to hear my tale" So and so said, Pen countered "Friend thats what the Pub is for." So and so smiled and began to talk.

Style Three
You can tell my little pet Red Panda here and she will tell your story using the Post style Say
(This means you can talk in the third person instead of first person like the other two)

Ex. So and so gave Red a little treat. The panda stood up and listen to the Elf's Tale. After a long time So and so gave the panda a pat on the head and the panda went back to Pen. "What story do you have for me toaday, Red?" The Panda sat up and began to tell the tale of So and so to all those who could hear.

Diet Cyanide
Walks in a buys buy a Dr Leglass.

Well life started out very well for Cyanide. She was born into a very wealthy family and to loving parents. It didn't last very though as when she was 4 there was an outbreak of some unknown plague in which her parents where killed by. The human doctors could of saved them as they where dispensing a cure for this plague but for some unknown reason why they didn't administer the treatment. This would explain her dislike for Humans. She was found by a couple of kind hearted humans who brought her up(They are the only two humans that she would ever likely to trust) after the outbreak subsided in a dumpster all alone sobbing no one to care for and cared by no one. The rest of her childhood she was brought up on a farm by her newly adopted foster parents and foster sister. Although it was nowhere near as priverleged a lifestyles as with her biological parents it was to loving foster guardians. One they she decided to travel to The Kingdom in the hopes of joining the army so that she could avange her parents death and most importantly of all to do her best to protect all Dark Elven kind.

(There not the best but I amm pretty pround of it. It may get tweaked the odd bit here and there but the main part of the story should always be there. I will post the stats like height, age ect ect later on once I have decided on them.)

{Sorry, I know this is way long!}

Vamp walked into the silent Pub. Pen was out doing whatever she needed to do, so Vamp decided to just write her tale down. That way, should anyone wish to see it, they could just read it at anytime. Looking around, she decided to just sit at one of the wooden tables nearby. Vamp then proceeded to take out a notebook and pen from her jacket pocket and start writing in a neat cursive.

I was born about two hundred years ago. I’m not sure of the exact date, but I know my birthday is in the summer. My mother and father were both poorer Dark Elves, who led a simple life of farming away from humans, but close enough to trade for food and fight off intruders. This brought about a few changes in my opinions that would have been lost had we been nobles. For one, I learned at a very young age to handle various types of weapons. I excelled at the scythe from the beginning, but can wield the bow, sword, knives, and pole arm with relative ease. For the first fifty years of my life, I also came into frequent contact with the human race of Gaia. The small town was far from the bustling cities of Durem, Barton, or Aekea, and thus the people were a very close community that tried to peaceful for the most part. Of course, everything has its flaws, and so did this place. One day, while I was helping my father plow our field for the spring to plant, a group of young men from the village approached. Now I can look back on it and realize how cliché the whole thing was. Of course they were drunk, and of course we tried to be kind and help them back home without thinking they meant anyone any harm. Instead, ten humans overpowered my father, well past his prime, with rusty knives. My mother, who taught me what little magic I know of fire, tried to save him and instead was raped and killed. And where was I? I was frozen in shock and horror. I never imagined anything like this, and so I ran, ran while they were preoccupied killing my poor innocent parents who had never wished harm on any living creature. They were even vegetarians. A couple decades later, I returned and killed them, by the way. The disgusting thing to me was that they hadn’t even remembered that they had killed my parents, they were that drunk at the time. Well, before I completely left the area I returned to the house and grabbed a few necessities such as food, my weapons, and other materialistic items like money my parents had been saving up, plus a few of my mother’s spell books. For about the next one hundred years, not adding my revenge period, I just explored Gaia. I gained a lot of experience under my belt, and learned many harsh realities about various aspects of the world. Money, greed, and selfishness pretty ruled supreme with humans, who were the main amount of company I had. Vampires, Centaurs, Imps, and other various creatures held no real interest to me, I admit. By about thirty years ago, I stayed exclusively with other Dark Elves, refusing to have any contact with other races. It was then that I made my first incredibly stupid act. Don’t get me wrong, I hadn’t had very perfect conduct in my first hundred years, but I tried to avoid life-or-death situations. Well, I had been wandering the streets of Durem after dark, completely confident in my abilities as a warrior to keep me safe. I figured it should be the other person worried about getting hurt, not me. Anyway, I saw a young woman laying in the road, bleeding profusely and twitching in pain. She was human, but I figured no one, no matter what race you are, should be left in the cold stone streets to die alone in the middle of the night. Well, it was a trap. And I fell for it hook, line, and sinker. I think they thought I was a vampire, incidentally explaining why I’m called Vamp even though I happen to be an elf. I refuse to even mention my real name anymore, so Vamp works well enough. I was surrounded by creatures I cannot describe to this day, they were black, but their outlines seemed to be continuously shifting. All I can say is that I was soundly beaten within a few moments, and had my trusty scythe, the one I had learned with from a child, taken from me. The creatures finally realized I wasn’t a vampire at this point, but decided to have some fun with me before releasing me. And so, they pretty much cursed me. I’m not sure what the spell is exactly, but every week during the same two hours I was under their power, I have to cut of a piece of my person. Sick bastards though I would go for blood, but I found after the fifth or sixth time that hair works just as well. I have to burn this piece of myself and rub it onto the blade of my scythe. The engravings that symbolized my scythe as a Lunar Scythe would turn black if I did it in the correct timeframe. If I missed, well, I’d prefer not to mention that at this time. It’s a little too gory for light reading. After that I tried to go along as I did normally, except for the new addition to my weekly schedule, until one day I received a message from Harognoth. Which led me to my career here as a lieutenant, though thankfully I have not had to really witness any combat yet.

Vamp put down the pen and stretched. No one had come in yet, so Vamp just tore the piece of paper out of her notebook and stood up. She wandered over to the bar and left the pieces of paper telling her story on the counter before leaving to see what was going on in the lounge.

Diet Cyanide
(Very good story Vamp^^ I enjoyed reading it. I may make a few changes to mine and make it a little longer. I have to just think on it for a little while and add how I came to this clan.)

kinetic-cataclysm
{Thanks! It took me an hour or so to think of it, but I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Can't wait to see what else you can add to yours, the basic structure was quite good.}

Diet Cyanide
(Thanks considering I have only just started RPing I thought that wasn't that bad. And I am only going to improve as we go along. Well I can tell you the character is going to brely be in her 90s. So compared to everyone else she is going to be young).

A Scary Little Girl
Kasey walked into the pub, heading straight to a table all the way in the back. She couldn't help but stray from others like her. She'd been living amongst the humans for the longest time and she didn't even know she was a Dark Elf till recently. Kasey sat there spacing for the longest time till she felt something brush against her bear leg, looking under the table she noticed a red panda crawling around under the table. She grabed him gently around the lower torso and setting him on the table.
"Why are you crawling around under my table?" She asked petting the Panda on the head. He looked up at her cocking his head to the side. Kasey looked back at him before finally catching on.
"You want a treat huh? Well it's gonna coast you." Kasey said fishing out a candy from her hidden pocket. She handed the treat to the little guy before starting her tale.
"I can't really remember my first ten years of life, just that I was hungry a lot and always cold. I things didn't get better till I was in my twenties, I met a man, he was human, we met in a bar in city I had strayed to. He treated me like a queen, pampering me with luxuries such as: clothing and jewelry. But as we got older and we married I noticed something odd, his once handsome features were slowly disappearing while I remained young and may I say beautiful. He started to catch on as well, and one day he came to his conclusion. 'Your a demon!' he said, 'You steal the youth of those around you! Begone with you!' And I fled our home and I was alone again. You know it wasn't till recently I found out I was a Dark Elf, and it was from none other then another human man. I had been caught breaking into his home stealing pricey materials and food.
He said 'Why is a noble Dark Elf stealing, have your kind finally grown bored with your luxuries.' When I told him I had no knowledge of being a Dark Elf, he handed me a mirror and a book. It's thanks to that book I found this place and who I am." Kasey sighed thinking more of her past. She patted the panda's head before it scampered away.

talkingpenguinpants
Pen came out behind the kitchen to the counter to find Red leaping in her arms. Pen leaned over her head down to the small red panda and heard the story of the new Elf in the Kingdom. It was a few minutes then Red jumped on the counter and curled up on the counter. Next to the sleeping panda was a manuscript with Vamp's handwriting. She chuckled and loudly spoke " It would seem I have two stories to be grateful today" Her voiced boomed crossed the pub. "Now Kasey a story like that deserved a drink and a story in return. Pen went under the counter to grab a couple cans of IGHT!. Then gave a pause, "Lets see where do I begin..."

talkingpenguinpants
I guess I should tell you I'm 650 years old. I know and I still look like 400 hundred something. Hahahahaha....yea but I digress. Pen was also stretching the truth even more since actually she was in the thousands. It just pained her to admit how many lifetimes she had lived through.

I was found by a dojo of swordsmanship and was taken in by the master. Before that was hazy. My parents are unknown and I really see my first sense i as a father. Of course by now I haven't come in contact with my own kind. The small town that the dojo was in took me as their own aware of my Elven lineage.

I was the best student but I declined to run the dojo after sensei passed away. My best friend took over the dojo and I stayed contact with him until he passed away. Elves are sure cursed with grief of death which incidentally is why we hang out with our own kind, easier all over. Still the dojo has my name on record with notes of the last hundred or so masters in case a master dies before teaching the next master.

After a year of helping the dojo after the death of my sensei I left the town that raised me promising to return every 10 yeas or so. Knowing I was grant a long life I went to find more knowledge. I taught my self any weapon I could find to only ask other masters for comments. I however never became anyone's apprentice until I found a Elven community. There I found a women dark elf who taught me more than fighting but seeing through the hate I had found and the innocence protecting me. She is the only one I refer as mother. I was then found by our King and I moved to the Kingdom and created this Pub to learn from others experiences and teach others.

I can't say my life was that easy. After leaving home the first time, a local human community had ran me out of town leaving the majority of my gold behind.
The next refuse was a vampire's castle where my innocence almost cost my blood.
Down the road I happened to be in the middle of a whole graveyard coming back to life. Dumb beings but I must say surprising good dancers.
Then I was rejected by own kind since it was apparent I was raised by humans with no idea about the elven purity of my parents.

But I don't dwell on the wounds given to me. To scrap at a wound will slow the process of healing. I shall tell you this, I can kill anyone who challenges me. I'm a master of swordsmanship and forgotten Dark Elf magic and master chef. I however will not do so since harming one will harm another as well.
I know many elves have a rough time but so do vampires, zombies, and humans. You can either let bad times rule your life or move to a better future.
Well enough of my rant I really do enjoy the stories that I found and the people I meet. My story is not to insult or reprimand anyone is how I run my life. You run yours as you see it.
Man I can't stop ranting.

She laughed as she went back to take the pizzas out of the oven.

A Scary Little Girl
Kasey watched Pen walk off, ready to tend to hungry customers. She couldn't help but smile, another had felt the terrible pain she had.It wasn't good but she finally felt accepted.

No one was in the Pub and Pen was out. The sad Red was in the mood to tell someone his story. Its been months since the last person came in to tell their story. However, Red never had his story told. Kinda hard when Pen is the only one who can understand you. Red, feeling a little disappointed, curled up on the counter. As sleep came Red thought of his story and how he got here.

(blurry Dream transition)
Red was the runt of his litter. He was easily forgotten among his brothers and sisters. He was last in line for food, at which time there wasn't much left. About at six months Red left the den to find food, it was the last he saw his family again. That really didn't concern him, pandas aren't people. They can survive without each other.

Red was on the rim of the forest when he was spotted by a group of humans. They bent down and offered scraps to the young Red. Next thing Red knew he was in a cage. It wasn't so bad, he had plenty of food and didn't have to share. The humans were kind but a little odd. They covered their faces with white paint and wore rubber noses. Which was fine if they didn't forced him into bright clothes and dance on a ball every other night. Oddly enough a young girl in the audience one night, snuck in and freed Red from his odd but happy home. Red however ran, better to find a place where wearing clothes wasn't a requirement.

It was a few months when Red found a cottage with a smoke stack. to avoid getting captured again, he waited in the bushes for the owners to make an appearance. It was after sunset when the residents came out. They also had white paint on, except it seemed smooth and was all over their bodies. As they seemed to glide out into the night, Red raided the cottage. Hungry, Red was far from his normal kibble or his common food in the forest. After finding that the cottage contained no food, Red headed out, but was stopped by the return of the white body paint owners. They caught Red, who did all he could escape but traveling on empty stomach Red was no match for the residents.

Red was encased again but the residents gave him enough food to last him a lifetime. He became so fat that the cage became to small. Once this occurred the residents, who apparently were naturally pale white, brought out a pot. Red wasn't sure what was going on but the pot seemed to big enough for Red to sleep in. Before Red got out of the cage, the cottage door was busted in by a dark blue painted person. The residents launched at the blue person and a battle, which Red didn't see because he couldn't turn around in the cage, commenced. When the sounds halted the dark blue person came back in and found the frantic Red. She was an old woman, with short black hair with streaks of silver. Her paint seemed to wrinkle a bit, but she had a intimidating presence. "You are far from home aren't you.," the woman said in rather a cold tone.

Now still en caged he was being carried by the old, blue lady. Red was unsure where he was going but it sure took a long time. Red finally got back to an average weight by the time they apparently arrived at their destination. It was a large cottage on a hill with a stone fence covering acres of property. The large cottage had a candle in the window and some shadow figure moving around the interior. As they entered the cottage Red was put on the ground as the old woman closed the door. The shadow figure now bent down over Red's cage opened the cage hatch. Red ran out to only slide into the wall and was knocked out.

A door was closed which awoke Red with a jolt. The figure which came in was the same shadow figure who let him out that faithful night. "Did I wake you Red?" as the Pub owner came to pet her old friend. "Yes, and it was such a lovely dream too, Pen." Red spoke knowing no one else was there but his favorite owner.

(Man, Red has a better story than Pen blaugh .)

Brooke nervously walked into the pub, thankful that no one was in. She sat down at a table and looked around quietly, not sure of what to do. She noticed a small creature snoozing on a table next to her, and stood up to examine it. When it blearily opened it's eyes and chirped at her she almost shrieked, but after seeing the small panda was friendly she cautiously sat down next to it and stroked it. It seemed to be asking her to say something, so she whispered her story about why she had come here.

"I've lived in this city since I was young with my Aristocratic parents, and I've just turned fifty-eight. I lived a very sheltered life, and knew no one besides them and a few servants. I guess that's why I'm so shy, I was never given the opportunity to really develop any social skills. I just read a lot of books, and I know a few basic spells for healing and defense. I think books were really my only friends growing up. Anyway, I recently left my parents since they wanted me to get a feel for how normal elves live, though they gave me ample money to make sure I could take care of myself. This was the first inn I've actually checked out, to be honest. All of the others just seemed really expensive, or the owners were mean until they saw I had money. So, I'm hoping that I can stay here. It looks cozy, though not half as elegant as the furniture at home." Brooke smiled softly as she gently stroked the panda's fur. He seemed to be satisfied with her answer, because he was gently purring and looked to be asleep again.

Standing up, Brooke looked around one more time, hoping the owner would appear somewhere. Seeing no one, she decided to leave and come back later. Maybe she would find another inn she liked better. She left the inn as she had come, with Red the only witness to her presence.

Chieftain Twilight
One very weary dark elf wandered heavily into the bar, a Snowy Leopard following close to him. His sword and gun blade hung at his belt clearly visible, and in his hand was a cane. he was dressed in a long old coat and worn leather pants, and his boots were worn. on his head was a short-brimmed hat, and around his neck hung a necklace of a rose and sword.

he walked to the bar, leaned over and grunted his order of pizza and any tropical or vanilla-based beverage, then sat down and lit a Black Clove. he let out a sigh after his first drag, and turned to the red panda that walked up to him. he smiled at it.

"hey there, short ling. wanna here a story?" he asked. the animal sat down gazing at him curiously, and so he began his tale.

"well, i suppose I'll start at the beginning. though just where the beginning is depends i guess. my family wasn't always poor. we used to be nobility, but that was before i was born. my grandfather was a General, and he was one of the best. but he had a friend who was on an enemy side during a war... my grandfather as executed for treason, and the family lost it's nobility status. my grandmother used her money to help keep support the family, but we kept losing property and money...
"well, as it so happens, my family didn't stop educating us the same as they always would, with lessons in music and history and combat... etiquette and politics... that's where someone like me, the son of a farmer, learned what i did against the norm. we have a pretty stable life going with the farm, and we're happy... but still, i guess i always felt like we deserve more. it doesn't seem fair that what we had was taken away from us over an act of friendship and compassion...
"that's where i come in. my story. i ran away, decided I'd try to earn back some family glory, however i could. my story is still beginning though, I've had adventures, sure-- oh, thank you!"

he was interrupted by the bartender who served him his food and drink.

"--where was i? oh yes, my adventures. i took my sword and cane and i hit the road. I've been across the countryside, but little jobs like that aren't glorious. still, i suppose i learned a thing or two since then, and I'm glad i went out of my way for the other farmers. they certainly praised me as if I'd slain a dragon tyrant. but i had soon taken a boat to faraway lands, and there i found myself bounty hunting. it was a tough job, but also a fun one. though i never thought that the events that took place then would be connected the way they were. quite the conspiracy actually!" he smiled as he said this, and handed the panda a piece of food and pet him.

"let's just say that i know some things that others don't. i had gotten involved with some dark forces... it resulted in my possession by a demon, and to this day i am still struggling for ownership of my own soul... something I've learned is, the closer you are to the truth, the more sanity you have to abandon. it is ironic really, the greatest story-worthy conflict ever, and i cannot tell another. dark gods of madness aren't comprehensible to those who are not involved.
"i returned recently to these lands, but i can never forget the things I've seen... I've come to put what i have learned to work in restoring my family's former glory."

Twilight watched as Shadow, his leopard, started to play with the panda. he smiled and returned to his food.

pg 2

Lycan4life
Lucian walks into the bar, weary of the Dark Elves around him. This was no place for him, but after a long night; he needed a place to relax. He sat at the bar. The bar tender asked his order. Lucian asked for a pint of blood with out thinking first, and the bar tender gave him a disturbed look. The bar tender moved to the back of the bar and pulled out a dark red bottle labeled deer blood and poured me a glass. Lucian spotted a red panda sitting next to him, and threw it a piece of Eucalyptus. It hopped up looking intently at Lucian waiting for a story.

"You want to hear a story my fury friend?" The panda looked still intently at Lucian.

"I wasn't born this way, you know? I was once a great warrior in the Roman army. Even a superstar in the gladiator games. Everywhere I went people new my name. I was on my way to becoming Emperor of Rome. All that changed one night when a legion of my men where ambushed by the very people you correspond with my friend."

The panda gave him a look of sympathy.

"No, need to feel sorry for me, the story doesn't stop there; so I was on the verge of dying. I can't die like this is what I was thinking; not here like this. I have so much more to live for. Just than a pale beautiful women found me near the edge of a creek were I had managed to crawl to in my weakened state. She bit me in the neck, and I died that night; but yet as you can see I'm still here my friend. I tried to return to Rome, but was shunned out of town and hunted. No one wanted me as there Superior or there superstar now that I was a (he pulled the panda close to him and whispered in it's ear) a vampire. Soon I gathered a vampire army or followers of mine to assist me in my hunt for every last Dark Elf, we begin to assassinate everyone we found. Than I found Kira, (Aka Vamp;LDW RP) and Gracie(aka Pen) who were found to be more skilled and challenging than the foes I had fought before. They were unlike any Dark Elves I had fought in the past. Fighting them was like a game of chess for me; it required strategy and concentration."

The panda grunted at me as if asking me a question

"What happen to the girl who bit me you ask, well were married and we live in a small house by the creek she found me in. I don't have much of a home life though because I'm always on the hunt and that consumes most of my time. Well I must be going now; Thanks for listening to my story friend"

Lucian grabs his scythe and drinks his blood and leaves the bar. Before he leaves he turns around and smiles and winks at the red panda, who then run's off to find Pen.

talkingpenguinpants
As the man disappeared into the night air the panda skidded through the swinging door. Be attacked with smells of food and the clatter of utensils he looked up to one of the many legs gathered in the kitchen. The cook seeing Red with a quizzical look told the panda Pen was on break. "She is in her office Red." the cook said then went straight back to work.

Red brushed up the cook's leg in thanks and ran to the back door in the kitchen. A doggy door or what Pen call a fat panda door, was put in the office door to allow Red in at any time. The room itself was the same size as the kitchen. It was also the pantry and had the freezer as well to maximize space.

Red wiggling through the flap looked over to his right to find a glow of a desk lamp silhouetting a relaxing Pen. He scurried to her and jumped in her lap.

"Oof" Pen grunted and then looked down at her little buddy. "Why can't I relax with out you trying to cause me harm." she smirked at the panda. He rolled his eyes and jumped on the desk with a excited look. He had two wonderful stories in a row, that was just Christmas to him and he had to share at least the last one with Pen.

Pen seeing the panda was in an excitable mood lowered her head to listen. The panda first told her about the elf with the leopard and his trails of getting here.

"It looks like we have another long term guest. He booked a room here." Pen said as she looked through the Pub's ledger believing the furry friend was done.

"I'm glad he is he sounds interesting and a lot of fun." Placing the book on it's shelf and getting up to go back into the kitchen, the panda spoke to get her to sit down again.

"Pen there was one more," the panda whimpered thinking he couldn't tell her if she left.
"There is more? Can it wait, my break is almost over."
The panda looked at her with sad eyes and whined a little. He had to tell her right now. Pen sighed and reluctantly sat down again. He told her with renewed excitement as he went on about the vampire.

Pen looked a little solemn after he finished. It wasn't everyday a vampire walked into the Pub and Pen had to wonder why he did.

"Well with that enchantment on the Pub he didn't mean us harm. Still," Pen thought hard and scratched her head. "I have never known a vampire to meet Teach and live to tell about it." She said nonchalantly. She got up and sighed and scratched Red behind the ears.

"Well I'm just going to have deer blood on stock now." She said and left for the door but turned back to now sleepy panda on her desk. "Are you sure he didn't give you his name?"

Red shook his head and hopped off the table to follow Pen out. Pen gave a small smile as she looked down at her brave little friend. "Well I doubt it could be him anyways."

Pen then opened the door where Red dashed out into the kitchen and waddled his way back to spot on the counter. He thought he heard Pen say "What are the chances at that," but he wasn't sure. He just lept onto the counter to greet the next storyteller. I hope they have treats.
