♥ |-----There are positively several ways of being introduced to the series Inuyasha: seeing it on television, a tip from a friend, finding the manga in a bookstore, et cetera~~ But the question posed here is not how that someone came to discover Inuyasha, but rather this:
What attracted you to the series and led you to the point of ultimate fan-hood?
Another way to ask the question, what made you love and want to see this series through to the end?
Was it the art? The characters? The plot? The drama and romance? The setting? Something else? Something you cannot explain? Do tell -- and discuss with us why Inuyasha is a great story even if it has its faults!

I guess for me, I started (and kept) with Inuyasha because of the story - regardless of how complicated it got - and the characters.
I've always been a big history fan (not a buff, just a fan), especially when it comes to world history, middle ages and before. So there was that.
Then there was the fact that Inuyasha himself is an inu-hanyou. I LOVE dogs...have one now (German Shepherd), but would have more if I had a fenced yard).
Not to mention the fact that the first episode I saw was #11, Kikyou's Stolen Ashes. So immediately I was caught by the adventure, the magic, the soap-opera-ness of it.
Even with all of those, I'm not entirely sure what got me hooked. I introduced some of my friends to Inuyasha (about 6) and I am the only one who has seen every piece of Inu anime and read every manga chap. It is, by far, my most favorite anime/manga.
The anime restart, Inuyasha: Final Act is VERY good! They have just caught up to manga chapter 465, Light. Those of you who have read the manga will be rejoicing with me. Sessmom is next!!! Squee!!!

I mentioned that to mention that Viz and Takahashi-san are continuing to make an incredible series that still inspires me...maybe a little too much.... xd
Anyway...what do the rest have to say?
