Super easy to make! Its basically an apple wedge where the skin is cut to resemble bunny ears 3nodding After you cut the apples into wedges, carefully trace a narrowish V into your apple skin. Depending on the shape of your V, you can have small blunted ears or long elegant ones! The points the V creates will be the tips of your bunny ears.
Peel or scrape the skin off behind the ear points all the way to the base of the V with your knife. The exposed apple flesh is "the body". According to Biggie, if you want the rabbit ears to curl up, make sure to cut the skin thin enough and store them in ice water for about 3-4min after you're done with them.
Congrats, you've just made an apple rabbit! You can leave the body alone or cut it in half to fit in smaller bento's. Experiment with different shapes to see what works best for you 4laugh
wahmbulance Here are some tips to make sure your apple doesn't brown or oxidize while you prepare the others;
Store them in water containing
arrow Lemon/lime juice (Or any fruit with ascorbic acid (vitamin C) would work, just be mindful of the flavor they impart!)
arrow Cream of tartar
arrow A crushed vitamin C tablet
arrow Ground up chili pepper
To avoid too much sour taste with your apple, try adding a little sugar to the water to balance things out 3nodding
