I'm sure a lot of you know this.
But Certain shades of eye shadow bring out your eye color.
Eyes and colors:
Brown: Blue shadow really makes your eyes stand out more then usual. Or just blue or even purple eye-liner.
Blue: Grey shadow, or green, or brown. Blue has a few more colors then others.
Grey: Mostly anything besides black. I myself has grey eyes and I use grey shadow to make them appear more blue.
Green: Blue really does make them pop out.
But for shadows mostly use colors other then the eye color itself. But as I said most of you already knew this. I just kinda wanted to make a thread as soon as I joined.

Hi there!
Great topic! Personally, I usually use colors that are more flattering to my skin tone than to my eye color, because I am very fair and my eyes can look either green or brown, depending on how they are dilated.
I'm going to go ahead and move this topic to the Cosmetics Counter. smile
Thanks for posting!

Some shades of pink and purple also go nicely with green eyes, and gold goes well with blue. =) Purple also goes with brown eyes, and pinks and browns are good with hazel eyes.
I use colors for blue and green eyes, since my eyes can appear to be either one (or both), depending on the colors I wear. In actuality they're blue, though, so I use those colors the most, especially golds and browns. I never thought to use green for blue eyes, though. I may have to try that.

I usually wear purple shadow, and it tends to make my eyes look very dark. Lighter purples do look gorgeous with blue eyes!

Too much pink eyeshadow makes your eyes look tired.
Have you ever noticed that a tired looking person has natural pink tones from under the brow to the end of the eye lid? I have tired eyes, so I usually use a peach eyeshadow primer to neutralize the pinkness.

From my experience: Browns go best with peaches, tans, coppers, browns, golds, navy, and light purples(though darker purples are nice, too.), and black. Blues go great with salmons, peaches, coppers, silvers, and browns. Greens go with purples, coppers, and deep red-browns. Hazels and greys are more difficult. Hazels, just pick whatever color you want from your eyes to stand out, and follow that. Greys go best with silver, grey, and blacks.
White liner on your waterline can make your eyes look larger, though on some white may be too harsh, so try a skin-tone or peach. Blue liner cancels out yellow tones in your eyes, making them look whiter.
If you're tired, use an orangey peach color to cancel out the blue-purple tones of dark circles.
