'Before the world of Alianse existed there were the Ancient Ones, the nameless God of Non-Existence and the Goddess of Existence, together they decided to create something as an act of union, producing the world of Alianse and it's races, bar the dragons. In time they gave brith to numerous gods and goddesses but the three eldest andstrongest of their progeny, the triplet elder gods, were unable to stop their youngest siblings from quarelling and so it was, in the time of the war of the gods, that god fought god over pride and honour. It was in this time that the Elder God the Imperator, God of War, became acknowledged as the greatest of all warriors, yet he fought with honour and nobility, drawing no blood with his divine blade knowing this was not a war of hate but of honour, requiring no bloodshed. In time however the fighting began to spill out into the world of Alianse, great storms and earthquakes shook the world, disasters borne of the war and in that divine conflict the Raven Goddess, afraid for the races of Alianse, sought a power that could wound even a god that the mortals may be able to protect themselves. Taking the remains of the threads of life from her afterlife realm she spun a new force, binding it into all creatures and went to them on darkest wings and bound the force to the world with the 8 great spells of legend, giving the secrets of Magic to the world. It was not long after the birth of magic that the goddess Korvalla sensed her sister's inteference in the world and it caused her great sorrow that the creatures of the world, who she had been given to nurture and care for, had to be armed with the power of gods. Despite her attmepts to dissuade her younger siblings, they chose to make their battle upon Alianse too, distressing all three elder gods, inspiring rage in the Imperator, weariness in the Raven and grief in the Lifebringer. In time the Imperator's rage at the bickering grew as such that, as the 8 younger gods clashed, he drove his sword into the ground at the point where battle would be met, scattering them onto the earth. His rage subsided, the Imperator, ashamed of his loss of control, discussed the matter with his sisters of the best way to end this war and so the three Elder gods decided that, to control their siblings quarrels, they would grant powerful servants and messengers for them, and so they used their command over life and death to create 9 eggs and gifted all but one to the strongest and eldest of the younger siblings, promising to build a great hall to elevate them to seniority if they could nuture and raise the newly-created beings inside the eggs. The 8 gods succeeded and were given their own responsibilities, not realising their eldest siblings plan for, in concentrating on their bargain to raise the eggs, the senior gods dropped their petty squabbles, their younger siblings, without their leaders, ceased fighting too. The gods had ceased their war and began to undo the damage they had caused to Alianse, all but the great chasm caused by the Imperators sword, left as a reminder of the gods folly and of the measures needed to calm them. It was not long afterwards that the eggs hatched, and so the 8 dragon species were born but the ninth egg was tainted by evil, corrupted from birth, it turned on the gods and it's bretheren but it's creature managed to bind the creature, imprisoning it in the great chasm and healing the earth over it, preventing it from ever returning to the world...'
