I'm wondering if you could teach me (just quickly) some phrases in tagalog i could use at my work...

Im not asking to skip lessons but we have many filipino patients... And we have a kid coming in (about 10yrs old) and he's TERRIFIED and doesnt speak much english... His mom has to work so she's gonna drop him off... so she cant translate for him....

So i'll need to know: (everything bolded after this point, i'll explain at the bottom)

Please excuse my accent:
I dont speak very much tagalog (or "I dont know much tagalog" or whatever makes sense... i basically wanna tell the patient that i dont know much... that way they dont assume they can respond with more than a yes or no... i dont want to give them the impression that i can speak it fluently... xD)
Open (open your mouth):
Open please (open your mouth please):
close (close your mouth):
Close please (close your mouth please):
stick your tongue out and say "ahhhh":
how old are you?:
do you have any questions for Dr. Wexler?:
Why are you scared?
What scares you?
which scares you? The exam or the cleaning (teeth cleaning)?

you're all finished:

Ok so the ones that are bolded are the ones i think i needed to explain why i needed them...

OK So my job is a Dental assistant. Everything i listed are things we say EVERYDAY during a patients oral exam.... The only language my boss (dr.wexler//the dentist) knows is english and a couple words in spanish... OBVIOUSLY no tagalog... SO i thought i'td be useful if i could learn some...

this might be skipping ahead of lessons by a WHOLE bunch.. but they're really necessary for me andmy work. so hopefully you'll understand.

I did read how to prounounce... but i really need a break down of everything until im more comfortable and family with pronunciation... your lessong teaches me a few things... .but still .. more than likely im pronouncing most of it wrong...

After a few lessons i'm sure i'll have pronounciation down better. smile
