I think this would be the right place to post this thread... correct me if I'm wrong. On to my question!

I have this amazing, eccentric homeroom teacher this year who I'd love to knit/crochet something for for Christmas. The problem is, I have no idea what. 0.o

I'd love to do a scarf, but I'm a notoriously slow knitter, and a total newbie at crocheting...

I'd just like some ideas. I can find the patterns myself later. Thankies in advance, and a cookie to all who answer. :3

I found some really cute mini christmas stockings That I'm making for a few family members.
The first time I made one it came out looking like a condom lol but I've made a few now and they are really cute.
Heres the pattern ~ c=
I was going to put candy canes in them but theres a link to a tiny bear on that page too that fits in the stocking.

A scarf is a really good idea and even if you are s complete newbie knitter and still knit slowly, just treat yourself to a pair of size 17 (US) needles. They are huge! But the scarf I made for my Grandmother's bff (Gran called in a favor ) was really cool. It looked like i had done all these, on purpose, drop stiches!
