Everyone knows what a silver cord is... right? It's simply a cord that connects the astral traveler to his main body. If severed it kills the player, both astrally and physically.
Is it possible to cast a spell on the silver cord? Like... friendly or hostile?

To my knowledge you can't cast a spell on a silver cord, you can cut it, but to my knowledge you can't cast spells on them.

Yeah, but even then only certain things can cut it, such as a githyanki sword.

Personally, I'd treat it as if it was an incorporeal item. Force effect act normally, but everything else has 50% chance to miss. Githyanki weapons naturally ignore this miss chance.
As far as spells go, I'd also treat it as being an attended item. XD;;
