He seems impassioned, but in a way, he's overdramatizing sad events of our country's horrible past. I knew they were horrible times, we did horrible things. But jeese, move to the next point.

This is very true, governments of the future are built on the ones of the present, built on the ones of the past. It is an ever constant cycle of death and rebirth.

Still, he went on a talk about one kid who was lynched, which I admit is horrible, for 20 minutes, when he could have covered another such case or devoted an equal amount of time between that one case and the 3 others he talked about.

I felt like he was overdamatizing it a bit. I understand, though, how it may be necessary to rally support by sending it home that our current government is a sick and twisted beast living in the ways of old but masking it under it's own bureaucracy of today.
