I'm going nuts trying to figure out which episode this is. I vaguely remember an episode where Rod and Todd are speaking gibberish for some reason (possibly sick with the flu?), but Ned thinks they are speaking in tongues and is proud of them for it.
It's not the episode "Marge in Chains" (I know that one of them speaks gibberish from the delirium of flu in this episode, and the other thinks that he is speaking in tongues, but this is not the episode I'm looking for.)
At first I thought it might be the episode where Homer is Mr. X and makes up the story about the flu shots being mind-controlling, which Ned responds to by saying, "I knew it! Now aren't you glad we don't believe in inoculations?" *Rod and Todd are shown, shivering, and shakily go "Yay," and then one of them reaches out, hallucinating, saying, "Mommy?" However, they don't speak tongues in this scene.
I've scoured the Internet for hours. I've posted this question twice on Yahoo Answers, and also posted it on facebook, all with no luck. You all are my last hope! Please don't let me down! Am I totally making this up, or is there an episode (besides "Marge in Chains") where the Flanders kids "speak in tongues"?
P.S. In case you're wondering, this is for my religious history class. We're studying Pentecostalism right now.
Thank you so so so so so much!
