Truthfully where I am it's more of a matter of scheduling. Wedensday is the taco pigout on my dad's side of the family. Thursday my gourmet cook Uncle Dan is making turkey, ham, sweet marshmallow taters, mashed taters, squash and steamed veggies along with biscuits and appettizers. Nom! (soooo bringing lots of food containers for leftovers!) Friday I'm going to lay low but saturday a friend and I are going to do some shopping and volunteering so I'll be packing bentos with some remade leftovers, like Biggie's Curry Turkey Croquettes!

Sweet Potato+Banana masher with walnuts on top: With a lil milk and plain instant oatmeal it's becoming breakfast.
Turkey: ...see the previous post loves. Though I may freeze it and try my own italion variation later. (fresh chopped basil, mozz, parm, oregano)
Mashed potatoes: see above.
Brussel sprouts: getting chopped up fine and mixed in with cauliflower, sauteed onion, potato and baked into a curry ommlette 'crustless pie'
Thanks for adding the link to Biggie's recipe Kinx!

I really don't know what going to happen this year. It's not going to be a big thing... possibly my dad, my boyfriend, and myself. It's still weird not having my ex-fiance as a part of my life. On well... the first is almost over.

I'm away to school for the year.... if I was at home Id be helping my mom make the Thanksgiving dinner for our friends and family in the area. But instead I'll just be doing anthropology assignments and studying for my final exams. Bleak indeed hahah.

What I mean by that is you all make one dish, but you make enough for all involved. I would also suggest that everyone pitch in a couple dollars for the turkey, but one person cooks it. Another thing to ask and to be considerate of others, is ask all participants if they are allergic to anything. If you want further information, please feel free to PM me. Ohh... Good luck in your studies.

Good luck in your studies. While that is a good idea, I think eveyrone will be far too busy with their studies considering the final exams are the first two weeks of December. Also I'm studying out of the country, and they had their Harvest Festival-type holiday in October.... so people would be wondering what holiday I was celebrating/there would be less interest in celebrating it I think.... Thanks for the good luck~ I just checked my grades online and got an 88 on a psych midterm so I'm happy right now heh. Also did that gourp/organised guild chat happen last month? I missed it

@duo-chan: i'm having a midterm in 2 weeks. also, i was supposed to have chapter 6 read for tomorrow, and i finished chapter 5 earlier (just found out about chapter 6 about an hour ago, and considering it's after midnight.......i'm good on reading for right now.)
as for thanksgiving, usually we have it at my grandparent's, but my aunt for some reason is having a thanksgiving "brunch", saying "you had mum and dad for the holidays last year, karen (my mum), so i'll have them this year." she seems to think that my grandparents are a piece of furniture. :3 (she's not too mature, either--she cried for 4 days when she found out that my grandparents weren't going to her house for the holidays last year!! xDD)
that said, we're having our own little thanksgiving this year at our tiny house. there's expected to be about 15 people, though, so the menu so far is:
5 lb turkey 5 lb ham sweet potatoes apple pie (my specialty~)

Sir3n Song I want to try a turduken (turkey-duck-chicken). One of my customers is having one and I'm so jealous! I just looked for a video, and all I can say is INTENSE!! I also have a feeling if my stomach was at it's normal level of consumption, this would sound absolutely delicious, but at the moment it's making me a little sick. But still... bring on the mash potatoes and apple pie!

that said, we had a garlic-bacon turkey with sweet sausage stuffing, so i think what we had was plenty decadent already. xD
there's gonna be turkey and sweet potatoes in my lunch for awhile <3
btw guys, you might like this: i loaned my sister my dumpling folder so she could make deep fried pumpkin puffs. i haven't tried one yet (they're coated in sugar and i caught a cold overnight, and cold + sugar = BAD) so i'm hoping they keep for awhile so i can try them, they look really good. :9~~
