I pressed my nose against the glass sliding door and stood there for probably ten minutes. I thought to myself, "With my luck, I won't see any. I never get to see anything cool, it's always cloudy or best seen somewhere else. If I could just see one, I'd be grateful." Just a moment later, no joke, a bright light streaked across the space I was staring at. I was shocked, amazed, and ecstatic. It lasted for less than a second, but it made my whole night.

I ended up bundling in warm clothes and going outside to get a view of the whole sky in hopes of seeing more. I didn't see any, but standing out there with the entire night sky above me was pretty overwhelming for me. I live near a large city, so the view isn't littered with stars in the slightest, but there were many and even just that was breathtaking for me. I love the night sky. redface heart

I woke up super early -- 1:45 am, but I was too sleepy to concentrate on anything, so I went back to sleep.
