Christopher Hart books are a great way to begin. They have basic anatomy, though the heads are too big, and once you get the basics you just watch a lot of anime and pick stuff up.

Captain Rei Christopher Hart books are a great way to begin. They have basic anatomy, though the heads are too big, and once you get the basics you just watch a lot of anime and pick stuff up. baw, i started drawing with a katy coope and christopher hart book. at the time i thought it was good stuff, and that he was aljlkdamazing, but i was also retarded. surprised
honestly, if you would pick up a book to help with anatomy, go for real life.. but if that's too boring for you, at least go for comic book style. it has a lot more realism than anime. :B
something like this is good for a start.

something like this is good for a start.Yeah but when you're just starting Chris Hart is good 'cause he broke it down really nice. But then go for some more complex books. go for tutorials online, and stuff. It really matter on if you're going for a look like marval, death note, or stuff like hello kitty and case closed. 'cause they're all different

I use to draw in class all the time, then when I got to college I started to hate drawing in my art classes, i get so frustrated because the teacher is always so damn specific on what they want you to draw >.<
