A clearing in the forest makes the perfect place for a battle away from it all. There are patches of grass around but for the most part it is just hard dirt. The trees in the area are good at keeping their leaves, as it would seem that there are not many on the ground. They make nice borders to the area though. There is a stream outside of visual range, but when it is quiet it is easy to hear the moving water.

Karixa listened to the wind rustle the leaves of the trees around her, and felt herself relax. There were some things she liked, and one of them was the sounds of nature. She entered the clearing and promptly leaned up against the nearest tree. As usual it was quiet in her head as well as around her when she listened like this. Only when people were not around though. The moment that someone showed up, Tama would start talking. As would Karixa. For now she was alone and quiet. Well, mostly quiet in her head. There was a viola solo. Her black boot started tapping slowly on the dirt, slowly in time with the music in her head. I won't get what I'm after 'Till the day I die. -Karixa Rinners-

A pair of doors opened in the sky twenty feet above the ground. As the doors appear they began to slowly slide open, revealing Chie Kato, Captain of Squad Ten. With a small smile she jumped down from the door, landing softly on the hard dirt ground. "Hello Karixa-chan." Chie smiled brightly at the woman. "Such a lovely area for a battle." Chie bowed towards her opponent then jumped backwards creating some distance between them. Chie relaxed the smile on her face and moved her right hand to the hilt of her sword, placing a firm grip on it. "You may have the first move."

Karixa tilted her head and looked up as the other captain dropped down. A grin spread across her face and said simply, "Yo." She pushed herself off the tree, and motioned to the area around her. "I like it, It's quiet, peaceful." She walked forward a little bit, so that she wasn't so close to the trees and slid her sword from its sheath. "As you like." She tapped the heel of her boot against the dirt, the blades inside her boot coming to light. " Let's play!" Karixa grinned a little more at that, and said smoothly, "Hope that you don't mind just jumping in here." She swung her sword and hit the blade from her boot, letting the metal ring. "Play me a tune, Jokyoku." The blade warped, and Tama laughed in the back of her head. Karixa swung the blade and Chie, and the whistling of the blade could be seen as it went forward as an attack. It was a whistle slash, just to get things rolling. I won't get what I'm after 'Till the day I die. -Karixa Rinners-

Chie watched as the sound waves left the sword. 'So her Zanpaku-to uses sound to attack.' A frown crossed Chie's face. She loosened her grip on her Zanpaku-to as the ribbons that hung off the sword sprung to life and wrapped around her wrist. The sword shot out of the sheath and in a straight line in front of her, as it moved HadÅ #11: Tsuzuri Raiden began to surge though it. The electrified blade collided with the center of the sound wave cutting it in half. The electricity faded as the sword returned to Chie's hand, the two waves of sound passing around her. With the sword held tightly in her right hand she placed the blade into the palm of her left, closing her hand around the blade a small bit of blood trickled down the blade. As the blood was caught in the dream catcher Chie smirked. "Watashi no Yume o Hatsubai, Yume o Oru." The sword turned to a bright white light as a white chain bracelet formed around either wrist.
As soon as the bracelets appeared the one on her right wrist disappeared. With a smile Chie waved the hand as a spike raised out of the ground aimed for Karixa's waist. The spike wasn't overly fast moving as Chie released a single bracelet to control the earth. If she released the other the speed would be increased, but her ability was still greatly limited in her Shikai.

Brightening. It was how she 'saw' it. The words, and the slash of the blade. It used to drive her insane in Shikai, but now it was a welcome addiction to her vision. She 'saw' a brightening below her and jumped, looking down to see what it was. "Huh." If she had been a little more delayed she'd not have time to dodge, considering she usually didn't pay attention downward. It would have been easier if she could 'see' better but she sure wasn't complaining. "Neat trick." She landed to the side then grinned and slashed twice in Chie's direction, this time saying, "Whistle Slash." There was power in words, and it made her attack a bit better. Still, she was curious, and had to stay on her toes. The Captain chuckled faintly, doing so in time with the spirit in her head. " How fun, we should be able to do loads of tricks!" Karixa mused over this and noted that she should be able to use all but one of her tricks. That trick shouldn't be used but for someone she actually wanted to torment. And this was just for fun. She held her sword out in preparation for the counter attack, still testing the waters. I won't get what I'm after 'Till the day I die. -Karixa Rinners-

Chie smiled as Karixa dodged the spike. "This is going to be fun." With a wave of her left hand the bracelet disappeared, she could now control the earth with greater speed and instead of controlling one object at a time she could control two. Just then Karixa shot out two more slashes of sound. The slashes seemed to move faster and more powerful than before. This time Chie wasn't quite able to summon any earth to block the sounds. She smiled as she pushed off the ground with decent force, as her feet left the ground and she began to move backwards she pulled herself into a back flip. As she moved an arch of earth was drawn out of the ground to intercept the first wave of sound. When the wave of sound crashed into the arc of earth there was a large burst of rubble thrown into the air. The second slash of sound continued through the air past the rubble. Rather than counter it Chie simply ended the back-flip with a split, lowering herself below the wave of sound. However the whistling noise was high pitched and close to her head, which left a slight ringing in her ears.
She frowned as she slid back into a fighting stance. The ringing in her ears was extremely annoying. "Now try this out." With a grin Chie used shunpo to move a few feet in front of Karixa up in the air. Rather than hang in the air, she was moving downwards in an axe kick. If Karixa dodged, a pillar of earth would be raised to chase after her. But as before the pillar still wouldn't be extremely fast since Chie was only in her shikai.

Karixa watched her opponent intently, holding her sword at the ready. It was interesting to watch how she dodged, and it actually gave Karixa a nice show. The brightening crashed against the earth, reacting much like fireworks in her vision. The harmless sounds and her attacks didn't look different in her 'vision', only looking at them gave the indication. All the force went into the earth. Karixa tilted her head when Chie landed, thinking about how flexible the other captain was. Not bad. She watched the woman as she shunpoed in, pointing the tip of her blade at the captain. "Chime Pulse." The hammer in her sword rose and fell, the sound quite similar to a hand chime. This attack was highly directional, but spreading out as it went along. It was the only other attack that she had in Shikai, but she couldn't say that she minded. This one was the stronger of the two, especially with how she could use it. Just in case though, Karixa lowered her center of gravity, ready to kick back. Even while she was doing this, she was a bit curious about Chie's Zanpakutou. Earth mover? Well, the bracelets were interesting anyway. As usual Karixa found information highly fun, but didn't directly plot around it. Not now anyway. I won't get what I'm after 'Till the day I die. -Karixa Rinners-
