Journals / Journal Directories

Journals are, for the most part, just another way to get roleplay for your Mistling/Flyer. Use a journal to put up visuals of your pet, to post descriptions, and from time to time you may even be inclined to post what Mistling/Flyer is looking for a mate/friend/enemy/ect. Be sure to use only YOUR pets in YOUR journals, unless you are allowed to do otherwise by the owner.

Journal Directories are a bit different. In some shops, an owner is allowed to have both a journal and a Directory, each used for different information; in Midland, we would appreciate it if you combine the two in one. Directories are used to store all roleplay done by any or all of your Mistlings/Flyers. In the case that a roleplay event occurs, having your already finished writings saved can benefit you! We promote directories, since not only can they be used for events but also for those who want to read up on plots/your pets.

Everyone is allowed to create a journal as long as you have either a Mistling or a Flyer to account for. We will ask that you refrain from making one if you do not have either. It will allow us to not have to sift through pages and pages of abandoned/empty journals that hold *no* information for us to read up on.

Acronyms:

If you are new to Gaia or new to the journal scene, be sure to add these acronyms to title of your journal. Like so:

[J] Blackbean Rippened's Root

or for a directory:

[JD] Blackbean Rippened's Root

This way everything looks more organized and people will be able to search with ease.

***Note:

A journal is the property of its owner. Though the art of original Mistling/Flyer/familiar belong to GRANNY NIBLO as well as the RESPECTED ARTIST, it is important for everyone to understand that any formats, additional art, or quotes personal and made by the journal creator belongs to them. If you wish to use any of the items/formats, be sure to contact the journal creator.

Also, if a journal states clearly that it does not want anyone to post in it, be sure not to do so. Only post in a journal if you are given permission by that owner! Repeated for clarity!
