Curiosity Killed the Cat Rank: Two Antagonist: Curiosity NPC Accompaniment: Yes Souls available: x2 Mission: SUCCESS/FAILURE
In a world where people dressed up to be as unique and eye-catching as possible, Ashie fit right in. Her usual tank top and jean skirt had been replaced with rainbow stockings and a strange top with multiple zippers, and the skirt... well. It was still a jean skirt, but it was probably like no jean skirt you'd ever seen.
She thought it looked good, though Axie had given her a glare when she'd shown her the outfit during the preparation meeting, just before she'd left.
Standing near the entrance of the ward, Ashie looked left and right, eyes constantly roving over the moving crowd in search of the WEAPON/TECHNICIAN pair she was supposed to be meeting. They stopped occasionally, in surprise, as she looked over particularly oddly dressed individuals, but the search for a pair of blonde heads never stopped. She knew what they looked like, of course, but seeing as their target was in the harajuku ward, she wasn't sure if they'd be dressed normally, or ... strangely, in order to blend in.
Absently, she pulled out her baby blue cell phone to check the time. Ashie wasn't usually early, so where were they? She wanted to start!

Neither of the three had visited Japan before. It was fascinating to see such a different culture. Kang Ling could merge with the sea of Japanese very well, but being paired with two French weapons made being labeled as a foreigner quite easy. Whenever she asked for help they always smiled and bowed, acting friendly and helpful. Their eagerness was interesting.
“R-Rainer . . . C-Caine! W-W-We sh-should get g-going n-now . . .” Kang Ling urged he partners, baffled at why both of them were delaying everything by so long. Rainer she could understand. He was the type that sometimes got distracted and like her, was fascinated by new things. The other twin’s interest came more as a surprise though. She did notice that Caine seemed to have a liking for fashion, so maybe it wasn’t too surprising.
“All the shops and stuff look really cool! I can’t help it!” chirped Rainer.
Caine silently nodded his agreement. “For once, I agree.”
Her hands clasping both of the boys’ hands, she timidly pulled them closer to the meeting spot. “P-Please?” Kang Ling was beginning to panic now. At this rate they would arrive at the meeting spot late and she dreaded the idea of leaving the staff accompaniment waiting longer than needed.
After much pulling and reminding, she managed to drag the twins towards the designated location. “I-I’m sorry! A-A-Are w-we l-late?” Kang Ling squeaked, hastily bowing in apology.

"Late? Not really!" Now that they were here, Ashie promptly forgot all about her previous impatience as she all but bounced, excited to start. Cheerful blue eyes glanced over at the trio in front of her, slightly disappointed to see that they hadn't dressed up for the occasion, but too excited to really care. They were here, and that meant she could go look at all the cool stuff in the Harajuku ward!
Without another word, Ashie grinned, and started walking, blending easily with the crowd coming and going along the packed streets. Turning to make sure that the trio were still behind her, she grinned. "Let's see... now that we're all here, where should we start?"
"If you read the brief, I think it says something about people who oogle other people being the targets." Ashie paused, considering her statement with all the solemnity of a 5 year old before giggling. "I don't know how that's really going to help, though, since everyone here is oogling everyone else!"
As they moved further into the ward, though, the people staring open-mouthed at some of the fancier-dressed pedestrians thinned out, and Rainer and Caine became, more often than not, the focus of attention. It was true; foreigners were a sight into themselves, even dressed normally as the twins were. Ashie didn't seem to notice the stares, though, as they strolled through the streets, her eyes wide as she looked from left to right and back again, taking in as much as possible and occasionally emitting a delighted gasp. "Oh, wow... this place is awesome!"

When Kang Ling heard Ashie’s reassurance, a hand flew to her heart and she breathed a sigh of relief, glad for the Death Scythe’s relaxed reply. As the woman began to walk off, she squeaked and hurriedly gestured for the twins to follow before Kang Ling scurried after her. “S-Start? Oh . . . I-I’m n-n-not s-sure,” she mumbled, looking crestfallen. Urging herself to not let it bother her she turned towards the two boys for any suggestions.
Rainer looked contemplative and nodded his head, finding absolutely nothing peculiar with the way their staff accompaniment worded the mission briefing. “Yeah, that sounds about right!” he replied and looked around, noticing how many eyes strayed towards their group. “Hey, a lot of people are ogling us, maybe the killer will naturally come get us!” He joked with a teasing grin.
Light blue eyes stared at Rainer beneath a dark-colored hat. Caine stayed silent for a few seconds before thoughtfully remarking, “Actually, that sounds fairly plausible, if the murderer likes to pick quick targets,” he mused, amused that his brother’s idea seemed somewhat logical.
Neither of the weapons provided anything useful and Kang Ling pursed her lips. “Wh-What if w-w-we j-just c-casually follow s-someone p-p-particularly n-noticeable?” she offered.

The stuttering made Kang harder to follow than Ashie had expected, and she found she had to pause, before finally being able to make sense of the girl's words. Once she'd figured it out though, she grinned, giving her usual giggle. "Oh, that's okay! I think I have a clue, anyway..." Her voice trailed off for a second before she smiled brightly once again. "Sort of."
Not realizing (or caring) that her words were less than reassuring, Ashie continued her examination of the shops around them, though it was obvious she was listening when she suddenly paused. Turning to face Rainer, Ashie's blue eyes were serious for just a second before the cheerful mask she kept slipped back on. "Perhaps, but it's usually always the same group of people that appear, and it's definitely always the people who oogle the hardest who die." In fact, the problem wasn't really where to start, it was finding the group that usually sparked off the murders in this crowd.
"Well!" It was as though being serious for all of five seconds was too much for her, as Ashie reverted back to her usual ditzy self in a flash. "Since we're hereeeeee, should we go shopping? I mean," blue eyes were wide and innocent as she conveniently forgot that Axie had given her express instructions not to do any shopping while on her Mission, "super strangely dressed people shop too, right?"
With one more glance around the area and the people there, Ashie started down the sidewalk again. She'd heard of this cute little hat shop...

Kang Ling was glad to hear Ashie’s somewhat reassuring answer, but was sad at the fact that she was unable to come up with a suitable suggestion of her own. Next time around she vowed to definitely conjure up a good idea. She nodded her head at the thought, although deep inside Kang was wondering if she would be able to follow through with it. As the saying goes, easier said than done. The Chinese girl was hoping that this time around that she could at least do something as simple as suggesting, though.
Rainer curiously stared at Ashie, wondering if the serious glint in her eyes he saw had been real or simply a figment of his imagination. Once she finished speaking he then thoughtfully nodded his head, cupping his chin with a hand. “Oh, that makes sense. So all we have to do is find the group that everyone likes to look at?” he inquired.
His twin shrugged and casually placed his hands behind his head, staring up at the sky with bored eyes. “Pretty sure that’s the gist of it. The mission may take a while then, since we don’t know when this “group” will appear and we can make our move,” answered Caine.
Once Ashie mentioned the word shopping, all three of the Shibusen students perked up. Shopping? That was something they all could certainly relate to. Without any particular qualms and protests, the two boys and girl followed after their staff accompaniment, the mission now pushed further into the back of their mind.
