okay now I know my recent lack in faith in love may look like this is just a spur of the moment thought but the truth is I have always had these issues with the subject.
I hate it when people who just recently started going out say that they love eachother. (In almost all cases this is just a case of infatuation and ends with the couple splitting up and repeating the same process with their next bf/gf.)
I really hate it when people throw around sayings like "were going to be together forever." or I'll always love you." when they are in a relationship...... when they know damn well they are just saying it because they want their partner to say it back or they have made it a habit.
Love and sex part 1. Now I feel that you shouldn't have sex with those you don't love and have a disgust for those who do so and yet I have always contemplated the idea myself. (call me a hypocrite, I know I am.)
Love and sex part 2. I hate it when people say "if you love me, then you'll have sex with me." (mainly guys pull this crap.) Its utter bull and I really can't stand it. I spent all but the last 2 years of my life without sex with my gf's and it was perfectly fine.
I hate the whole "love at first sight." thing..... I don't believe someone can fall in love without first atleast getting to know a person in some way. (I consider it "lust at first sight." in most cases.)
discuss your own views.

I was in the middle of coming up with something really witty and awesome to say...
Just to make it simple. I don't believe in almost everything you said. As you stated you have your own issues, so what you're saying is an opinion; not a fact. (You said it was fact? No you didn't.) I don't have issues with Love. I played the "so woe is me" card long enough. I shouldn't have, I've never been happier in my life. I was with a girl for about a week and I told her I love her. Going on four months now, I still tell her I love her, and mean it every single time. I'll always love her. 1.) Because I'm a stubborn, persistant ********. Yeah, I said it. 2.) I really am going to be with her. Yeah, that I said too. I want her to say it back, duh. But it's not a ploy to get what I want. The sex and love combination is good, I believe in that. But honestly, I want to have sex with her also because I just want to. It's like "I love you" but at the same time, it's, "Omg, you're so gorgeous. I want you." Yeah, "Love me, so sex me" lines are weird, haven't pulled them. I agree, but it's not as much like that anymore. Is it? Who knows. They usually just have sex and regret it? Years without sex? I don't know if I'd have your strength. I'd have sex with my the girl I love every day. A smile on her face every night. "Lots of ********." smile Love at first sight? Yeah I guess I'm bullshit. Happened for me. Kinda like "Love at first Alias" really. But you know what. BINGO. It was true. I guess I don't fit your statistic data? Love is an emotion, not a thought you need to process. It spans many things, but in reality; it's like you are saying someone without a brain can never love. It's a feeling, and if you feel it the moment you're with someone, more power to you. These are my views. Sorry if you're pissed/upset/"why the ******** would he say that." "I digress." ~Stephen McCluskey~
...But then I got caught up in how much I love her. Sorry! My fault! (Your fault?!?)

I'm pretty sure "whiny emo cry-baby" Onion Ring got more heart than you do. Me? A "whiny emo-crybaby", *heh* I'd only cry for someone, not because of someone. *Nothing Lasts Forever* You have no clue, you don't even know. You're opinions are ignorant at best. Genocide is the deadliest power. I can't love you..... your my sister. no..... i'm not emo!!!!! i ******** hate emo people!!!!! you should check out my other profile..... nvm i'll just post what I want read from my other profile. Well, if you know me from the LI forum you know that i can't stand the idiotic whining that most teens in this day and age spout from their mouths. I hate those who think their emo and I hate even more those that think its "cool" to pretend they have depression or some other mental illness just so they can be unique or popular. If I have offended some of you little teens then good! You need to be brought to your senses and man up to life, you are only given one so make the best of it no matter what your given, if you choose to do otherwise then its your own fault for the misery you may or may not have in life. I do agree with the nothing lasts forever and the fact that most people will realize this when it comes to releationships. I have plain out told a girl who said she had found the love of her life to tell me if and when her and her "love" break up, not just to tell her I told her so but to prove that i'm right.

I will say this; most people that say they've "found their one true love", especially when they're young, have no idea what they're talking about. high school romances are often so immature that one or both parties split ways afterwards. I've learned this from experience. Hormones are a b***h, ne? But I will say, after knowing what it feels like to have "settled" for a person, and knowing what it feels like to ponder smothering your bf/gf in their sleep, it has made me appreciate my current boyfriend even more. And I now know what love (not hormones) feels like. Love in a naive way usually means there's an attraction, but ultimately the people don't mix past that. As soon as I moved in with my ex, I learned that. A pure love does exist though. It's not so fairy tale. In a solid definition, love is caring for a person, having them care for you, and being able to get along and commit to helping one another. As un-romantic as that sounds, that's the best way I can logically put it. It's not some magic, unattainable thing. It's just a mutual attraction and attachment to another person. And I can honestly say that after living with him for a year, I'm still as happy as I was the day we started dating. Based on that, I know I could live with him the rest of my life. I can't say for certain he won't fall out, but to my knowledge, we click well and nothing should change that.
As far as sex is concerned. If I'm not in love, you don't get none. End of story.
On the subject of "love at first sight" thing. I do believe that there is a "love at first sight" (notice the air quotes) in the sense that you can look at some one and be completely infatuated right away. You don't know the person at all. And so most of the time it's false. But it kind of takes that "first sight" to start any relationship and there are many couples that have been together since school and do quite well.... so.... Do I believe in love? Absolutely.

@ Fruitista: Is love really that transparent? If someone loves you (but does not outwardly act on this emotion), will you really always know it? Can you ever really know the emotions of someone else without some sort of psychic ability?
@ Onion: You do not even love me in a sisterly type way? -crys, cuts, writes poem- emo
Also, do love and sex really have anything to do with each other?

You act as though a person requires another person to love them in order to be in love. In that case, no one would ever be in love to begin with, because each of them would be ******** around wondering which one loves each other? And is love transparent? I have no clue, but I both feel it, and know it. If you have all the bases covered, it's easy to have a passion and conviction for it. You're able to defend it instead of question it. The statement you made about being psychic is beyond ignorant. I know my CHINESE girl loves be because she shows me she loves. Honestly, she'd never have to say the words, and I'd know and feel she loved me. Uhm...I mean, as much as the words put a smile on my face, I mean I want to hear them all the time. I'm just saying. *Smiles* I feel better now. Your lack of understanding or perpetual criticism and doubt has fueled my "Butterflies." What's that taste? Tastes like Glitter. Love and sex have plenty to do with each other. They are separate, but they mesh very well. I'm pretty sure since sex ***IS*** an attaction based hormone; and Love works the hormones, sex with someone you love is going to be a lot better than sex with someone you don't love. And have you even listened to what people say? Obviously it must go together if more than one person is telling you that they can't even stomach sex unless they love the other person. I love bashing your senselessness, but in another mannerism; I believe you are purposely being naive as to stir a ruckus. I am too optimistic to believe you're really this dense. smile ~Stephen~
...But then I got caught up in how much I love her. Sorry! My fault! (Your fault?!?)

Genocide is the deadliest power. ok.... I guess I love you... *kiss* fruitista: i've known her for a few months..... and she is like this most of the time, thats why she's one of my super friends. heart As for the sex without love. Whats sex without love? its still sex. It really doesn't change depending if you love the person or not. (unless your one of those super emotional/romantic/weirdo types. the type that tears up when they hear "their" song.)

I believe you are missing my meaning. One does not need another person to love them to be "in love." Love, in this case, seems like an emotion. One can feel any emotion with or without a cause others might see as necessary. Such is the nature of emotions. My question is, if love is an emotion, how would I be able to see Onion's emotions without being psychic? I could be anything from pissed off at or amused by you, for example, and you would not know either way, unless I displayed a certain action to indicate one or the other. Even then, you would see wanted I wanted to display. Would it not be possible for someone to "love" you and not show it? Would it be possible for someone to feel "love" when such does not exist. Stalkers claim to love those they stalk, even if they have never met. Beaten wives claim their husband loves them, even after multiple trips to the hospital. Depressed people believe they are loved by no one, even when their family and friends say otherwise.

I have an additional, slightly-unrelated question. Why is "Chinese" in caps? National pride? Racial supremacy?

I was in the middle of coming up with something really witty and awesome to say...
I did not know it was my job to counter-post you. Anyone can love, but no, you cannot actually be "In Love" all by yourself. It's like saying you can Tango as long as you want to Tango. No, it takes *2* to Tango. One person can really feel like Tangoing, and another person can really feel like Tangoing, but if they do not both meet on the dancefloor, they are ********. (Not in the good way.) The emotion can be felt regardless. The action takes more than one person. Love is always an emotion. I'm pretty sure if it was a building, I'd have a skyscraper outside my house right now. You can't see his emotions, psychic or not, you can read someone's mind, but how their heart? Emotions do not have to be known. It is as though you are indicating someone must be consciously aware of something to feel it. When I first met my Love, I had no idea I'd end up wanting to spend every moment of my life from that moment on being held in her precious arms. But I still felt it, way before I met her. Romantically deep? Of course it is, I'm a mother ******** writer! I agree, you can feel Love and not show it, I did the same thing...For a few hours, then I told her I loved her. *HAHAHAHAHA* Nah, it was more like a few days. Either way, uhm. But no, it's not possible for someone to feel Love if it doesn't exist. Hense the entire, *Not Existing* aspect. Stalkers claim love, but they are consumed by obssession. Husbands do not Love their wives when they beat them, but rather yearn for their need of power and dominance. As far as the depressed people go, I don't even think that fits as an example. Of course idiots spend time not noticing who loves them. I'm glad as ******** I spend every day knowing my CHINESE (yes, mother ******** caps b***h![jk]) girl Loves me every day, and she doesn't even have to *sighs* say it and I already know it. To be honest, CHINESE are the best race on the planet. They have the best vaginas and the VERY best breast ratio. Hands down, mother ********). You bet I got CHINESE pride, and CHINESE supremacy. Duh! But in all honesty. Love can make things complicated, but it's simple.
I love her. She loves me. It's the most (********) beautiful story I ever heard.
...But then I got caught up in how much I love her. Sorry! My fault! (Your fault?!?)
