Personality: Shunsuke is a very polite, well mannered shinigami with a liking for sushi, relaxing music, and bird watching. He is very rarely angered, thus everyone typically sees his easy going and calm nature instead of the rather scary alternative. Shunsuke hates fighting above all else, and will refuse to fight in the presence of children. He always tries to find a way out of battle but will fight if all other options are exhausted. He does tend to be rather quirky though; his habits include but not limited to him, always sitting with his knees up to his chest, even in chairs, reading while laying upside down, writing notes on tissues, even when normal paper is available, rarely wearing his captain's uniform, but opting for 'normal' clothes, owning a vast collection of newts, and many more. He is currently writing a series of children books based off of cartoon characters teaching kids how to keep healthy.
Bio: Shunsuke was originally born as a human. His father was a doctor, his mother a lawyer. He lived a rather good life as a human, did well in school and had a good number of friends. It was all taken away from him in a flash when he was only thirteen. While out doing errands with his mother, Shunsuke was shot during a robbery, a wound that would ultimately end his life several hours later.
Life in the Rukongai wasn't easy for the now young shinigami. He had almost died from sickness twice before being picked up by two members of the Gotei 13. Taking him in, the fourth division members cared for him, nursing him back to good health. During his stay in the squad's barracks, Shunsuke took up a interest in their line of work, observing their techniques and watching how they conducted their daily activities. Because of this he decided to join the Shinigami academy. His instructors would later on comment that Shunsuke had a lot of natural talent for healing kido, but his latent abilities in other area's should be carefully observed. Upon finishing the academy, he was immediately accepted into fourth division. From there his reputation and skills grew until he unlocked his bankai, gaining acceptance from the Captain Commander and was soon appointed the captain of Fourth Division.

Zanpakuto name: Hisa-me (pronounced: he-sa–me)
~Hisa-me is probably one of the darkest spirits to dwell within a zanpakuto. Named after the Japanese demons of death, she isn’t something to be messed with. She appears as beautiful as a goddess, with brilliant, long black hair, and perfect skin. Her personality though, is as sinister as they come, she being the main reason Shunsuke acts completely different once his shikai and bankai is released.

Shikai-
Release command: “Fade to black, I call your name; give me the power share our pain.”
Description:
((Once released, the once beautiful zanpakuto takes on it's true form as a beastly weapon not to be reckoned with. Shunsuke takes on the personality of his zanpakuto spirit, attacking everyone and everything deemed an enemy.))
Abilities: It’s called “Ghost Hollow,” at least that is what Shunsuke calls it. Once released, his shikai takes over his body, casting a dark, transparent, ghostly mask over the right half of his face, and a half cloak down that half of his body. The essence of this ghostly haze is death; it kills anything it touches that doesn’t have a mediocre level reiatsu. It’s ability in a fight however is just as sinister. His blade burns/kills any flesh it comes in contact with, and can poison without warning.
Bankai:
Release command: “Darkness take me from where I stand; release me from these bounds that hold me...”
Description: The blade now glows like red hot steel, but is cool to the touch… if one would want to attempt to touch it. Other than that it retains all of it's appearance from before.
Abilities: The “Ghost Hollow” takes over more of his body, now his entire being is covered in the haze. While he can be still hit physically by others, the haze will now numb the part of the body that came in contact with it. As for the zanpakuto; it has the same ability before, but now, the spirit has basically taken over Shunsuke. This increases his zanjutsu ability up to mastery; this mixed with his other abilities turns him into the perfect weapon. It doesn’t come without its risks, while the haze numbs others; it also numbs his entire body, he will not know how hurt he is until after the battle is over.
