A Darkened hill for Nyx and all her children.
Description:
A hill, larger than Camp Half-Blood, sits in the woods. It is a patch of darkness, even if the rest of camp is filled with sunshine. Stars fill the sky, and there is a telescope where the sky can be seen quite better. Wolves and other woodland creatures live here, and interact well with the Nyx children. The hill is purple and black, and the grass grow slightly, but is not tall.
It holds an eerie smell, and the fog adds some of the chills. The land is a tad bit barren, but when a few Demeter kids come, the land is fertile. A few seats are in a circle, and they Nyx kids can lounge around, admiring the night.

Edward finished walking up the hill, with each step he took, the sky and area around turned darker, and when he reached the top, Edward couldn't help but catch his breath, this place was...beautiful, there was no light pollution so you could see all the stars, the air held a eerie smell that Edward inhaled and exhaled, it smelt like fresh air to him, suddenly a wolf emerged from a dark spot, Edward didn't react, instead, he just crouched down and started to scratch it behind the ears "I want you to meet my friend James, he's coming up the hill right now so be nice" Edward was about to pat his head until he heard a voice in his head say Okay, but he better have some dog treats Edward jumped up and stared at the wolf in his eyes, "Did...did you just...talk to me?" The wolf stared at Edward for a few secounds, Edward heard the voice again Of course I did! Children of Nyx can interact well with nocturnal creatures, so its no suprise you can hear me. Edward stared at disbelief, he can talk to nocturnal creatures, that was cool, Edward saw Jamey coming so he got ready to welcome him to Dark-side hill.

jamey walked, the sky much darker than before. how odd he thought, he wasn't the only one "master this place is too dark" jamey looked round for the speaker, the boa was nodding, it was him that had thought? said? well whatever it was jamey wouldn't be swayed
"you can go back then, but i'm staying, besides trouble is sort of my thing." said jamey. he headed up the hill, not exatly phased by the wolf hanging with ed

Edward saw Jamey finish walking up the hill, but he saw that his eyes were focused on the wolf "Welcome to Dark-side hill! It's okay James, he's completly harmless, he won't bite!" Edward looked at the dog, he tried speaking to it in thoughts You won't right? He's just a visitor. The wolf replied back to him No, but he smells like snake skin and rats "That's what they all say" said Edward out loud "Isn't this place awesome?" exclaimed Edward, "This place has telescopes, seats, forests, Nocturnal animals, everthing I would ask for Christmas!" he looked up the sky and saw the new constelattion, the hunter, How was it made again? Oh right, The brave Hunter Zoe died on a quest, and Artemis made this "I would go to the Snake pit, but I don't think Poisunous snakes would exactly be my choice"

jamey sat down near the wolf, he'd always been good with animals, but snakes were his speacialty. "they all say what?" asked jamey "cool place, and the telescope could be very useful, the wolf is very cool. can he speak, one of my friends in boreas cabin has a wolf who can speak telepathicaly"
((i understand the snakeskin part but why did he say i smell of rats?))

Edward nodded his head, "They must have really thought about the kids, for different children of different gods, and, I can speak with wolves and other nocturnal animals, like racoons, hamsters,.... you get the point" Edward started looking through the telescopes "Night is a beautful thing, it shows us the wonders above and it's beauty, it helps us sleep, it helps us live." Edward wasn't paying attention to how he spoke, he went in sort of a trance looking at the night sky. "I'm also really good in navigation, I can tell where we are just by looking at the stars" Edward studied the sky for a moment, then he said "Apparently, judging from the position of Orions belt and the Aurora Deltitis, we're currently 73 degrees north, and 54 degrees west" Edward looked at James and grinned. "I'm like a compass!"
((He smells like rats because thats what snakes eat, so animals with a strong sense of smell can smell a faded odour of rats because snakes hang around with James alot))

"that is so cool, i wish i could do that, to be honest i can't think of something like that, i get kind of angry when people assume snakes are slimy, the scales are just glossy, but it doesn't matter that much...are their any nocturnal snakes?" explained jamey "cause if there were, then maybe you and i could both talk to it..." jamey looked round for some, if there were any there then they would come soon, a snake person and a night person would definitely attract one.

Edward frowned at the thought "I tried that once, but it doesn't work though, maybe because I have my restrictions, I guess since there is already a God of snakes, I can't communicate with snakes because I'm a child of Nyx, but on the other hand, you can because you're a child of Ericthonyus." Edward started scratching the wolf on it's back "But you can do many things as a child of Ericthonyus, say there is an attacker in our camp, summon a few poisinous snakes to ambush it, interogate someone with a Boa Constricter, and don't you have fangs, a forked tongue and a poisonous bite? That would be very useful it fights, or do you bite someone to poison them or use venom spit or something?"

((Speaking of hanging around James, he shouldn't be there due to the rule of the hangouts that unless he is a child of the god who the hangout belongs to, in this case nyx, he can't go there. At least...I'm pretty sure that's the rule.))

"not sure about spitting posion, the rest of the stuff could work though, but i do not have fangs or a forked tongue" he said laughing "so if there was a god of wolves then you wouldn't be able to communicate with the wolf? that would suck"

(Actually, he is right. Even the gods aren't allowed in the other god's hangouts. Simple as that)

((No. Invited or not, they can't go in. It's been a rule since the 1st hangouts were made for Poseidon and Hades. And they couldn't even let monsters in camp. They could only enter from within the camp. Hence they had to either be summoned from within, or enter through the Labyrinth.))

((Edward granted permission for James to enter Dark-side hill, in the secound book, monsters weren't alowed to enter camp but Annabeth granted Tyson the cyclops permission to enter, so it would make more sense for that to work here too, and I guess only for the big three only their children can go since they are such powerful gods))
