History:
---Desmond sat in a small empty gray room with four gray walls, only one plastered with a thick black window from which observers view the questioning on the other end. A metal featureless table sat in the center and Desmond, a small bruise across the side of his face sat across from another man in a security outfit, shadowed by two large bouncers whose stairs cut him down like knives.
-Desmond: "It all started a' tha age-o seven officar. I was comin ta tha crimson gate 'otel up near tha high hive... much shineir place tha' this establoisment a' course, nah affense o' course.
Ma parents where high rolla's, undeserving bastards tha inereted dear ol gramps investments ya see. Tha lost it all n' one night... ONE night. It's amazin really o' loose people can be wit money tha didn' earn."
He said shaking his head with a frown. "Ba anyways, I managed ta wander around, ma ol parents didn' care for tha runt they had raised. Thought o' me more of a burden more than a responsobility for them. I found a large coin machine n jus so appened ta 'ave a few credits I had... um... none ta proudly taken from one of tha dining tables, one of a waitresses tips na doubt n' I feel bad for it"
-Guard: "GET to the point, how did you clean out two tables with no apparent device or partners..."
-Desmond: "Oald ya horses there lad, I'm gettin ta it" he said leaning back and sighing before continuing.
"Sa anyways, ere I am, credits in 'and an tha biggest lever I've eva seen. Ya can't really blame anyone, especially a child fa wantin ta pull such a lever. So... I did... n ya know what? I won, fiftey two million credits... non-o which I could keep but ya kin bet mah parents ad a fit trying to prove otherwise tha greedy bastards. El, they ad the gall ta blame me afterwards, saying it should have been theres n' if I adn't a pulled it they would ave. Needless ta say I got emancipated as soon as possible..."
-Guard: "WHAT does this have to do with anything" he said his voice rising to a shout as he slammed his hands on the table and stood upwards.
-Desmond: "Woah thar lad, it as everything ta do with everything... I'm jus tryan ta say I'm lucky, nothin more don't ya see? Chosen by tha lady all us gamblers pray ta o' course. She mus be smitten wit tha ol irish charm I suppose" he said leaning forwards with a wide smile.
One of the two bouncers, fed up with the run around Desmond was giving them took a swing. Desmond pulled back just in time, the mans fist careening around and punching his partner in the face whom had started to come around his side to apprehend Desmond should he try to leave. The partner fell flat on the flar, leveled with one blow as the Guard stood up pulling a taser and firing as Desmond made a run for it. The door to the outside opened as Desmond tripped, another guard from the security room having just rounded the corner as the wires from the taser flew over Desmond and pierced the arriving guards shirt sending him into a fit of convulsions.
Running out the door Desmond made his way through the crowds of the Casino as a sudden power outage ran through the entire building blacking it out. The confused and now blind guards shouted out curses as they grabbed whom they thought was Desmond and began to apprehend him. As the lights turned back on they saw they had the wrong man, a rather prominent actor whose body guards quickly got in a tussle with the Casino's guards to protect their boss all of which gave Ryan plenty of time to re-procure his winnings and get out.
To put it simply, Desmond is, always has been, and always will be extremely lucky and nothing more.
