Welcome to the Waiting Room. Take your seat and wait as we try to come and see you as soon as we can. One door leads to the reception and the other leads into the asylum itself. The desk in the waiting room is connected to the one in the reception as one long 'L' shape, The long side of the 'L' in the waiting room and the short side in the reception area.

Once you made your way into the waiting room all there is to do...is sit quietly or to look out the window.

But please...do not touch the wallpaper, it is quiet expensive.

The black boots made their way along the waiting room's floor, towards the reception desk. Each footstep echoed lightly in the empty waiting room. A slight chill was in the air, causing her to shiver lightly. Closer and closer she got towards the old woman that was stood behind the counter. Her dim, gray-blue eyes followed her each and every footstep. Never being removed from her as she reached the reception. The girl stood at 5'4.5" tall and the old woman behind the counter was just a bit taller. For a moment, they had a staring contest. The frail looking woman continued to keep her firm gaze upon the young girl. The woman was pale, thin with grey hair, glasses that rested on the rim of her nose. Dressed in a long dull blue skirt with a white shirt. The Gothic punk dressed girl continued to stare at the lady. The woman gave off a strange aroma that the girl honestly couldn't say if she liked the smell or hated it. Either way, the sooner their conversation was over the better but yet the conversation had failed to begin. Finally all eye contact was broken as the old woman looked around for a pen upon the reception. 'So what do you want, my dear?' The frozen voice spoke from the old woman. A twisted smile came upon the lady's face. Those eyes fell back onto the young girl. Those eyes looked as if they could peer into your soul or she was trying too.

The girl stared back at her before finally finding a voice.
'Um...my name is Rose. I called yesterday about meeting with the head of the place.' She spoke. It was a blunt and brief. There was something about the woman that gave her the creeps and that was strange for Rose, she never had such a feeling from anyone before.

The crocked smile of the old woman seemed displeased, or pleased. Honestly, Rose really couldn't tell the difference at the moment. The eyes fell back down to her desk. She was obviously looking through something before her head rose once more.
'Please take a seat, someone will be down shortly.' She spoke with a teeth baring grin. Was it a forced smile or was it a genuine smile? Rose wished she never showed her teeth. It made her feel sick as she turned and walked away. The old lady at the reception disappeared into the back of the reception, leaving her all alone.

Rose's footsteps continued to echo as she fiddled with her red and black tartan skirt as she headed towards the windows. She couldn't sit down at the moment. She was excited and nervous to meet the head of the asylum but at the same time she had a very uneasy feeling about the place. It could easily just be the nerves that was making her feel uneasy. The chains wrapped around her left wrist rattled lightly, the two thin silver crosses around her neck lightly clanged together as the chain by the small spiked belt hit each other gently. Reaching the window, she stood staring at her own reflection instead of the world outside. She fiddled with her hair, making it neater then what it was when she walked it. Her hands moved the strange maid band like headband straighter before she pulled at her top a little to make sure she was some what presentable. Rose had ignored her teacher's advice in dressing up in a shirt and skirt. True, it might make it hard for her to get a job but she wasn't asking to be judged on appearance but by her abilities even though she was aware that presentation was more in important these days when it came to a job. Rose was not too bothered, she was hoping her charms would win them over, whatever those charms were. Kneeling down carefully so her underwear was not on show, she fiddled with her leg warmers to adjust them again under her knees before standing up. Her hands rose lightly as she ran her finger underneath it. It was constricting so why did she feel so constricting? She wore collars everyday.

Rose sighed deeply as her long black hair brushed agaisnt the back of her legs. It was boring waiting around for someone but she was a patient person, so she would wait. Her dark brown eyes finally went past her own reflection and now she was staring at the world on the outside. The sound of the clock ticking away in the background seemed to grow louder and louder in the silent. As each second passed, the clock ticked away. Rose was now regretting not bringing her MP3 player with her. If she did, at least she would have music to help the time past away faster. Honestly Rose was surprised not to see anyone else in the waiting room. She expected someone who was visiting family or friends or there for other reasons but it seemed that she was wrong. It just made her feel uncomfortable. Rose sighed again, out loud and then placed her hands behind her back as she rocked back and forth on her heels. Humming to herself lightly. She could sing or talk to herself but she didn't think it was best to do something like that in a place like this. It was best she tried to remain as "sane" as possible but wasn't everyone insane to someone else in the world? So was it possible to be sane ever? Rose brushed the thoughts away, no point in getting into a debate with herself. Best to keep her head clear and go over what she would say to the head when she meets him.

Leon sighed as he looked out the window of his boyfriends car. It was close to noon and Leon was meant to be going out on a date with Nick, but stupid school had given Leon an extra assignment towards his career preference. He was to go to the closes Hospital and was to ask question about different work areas and problems with the job. They also wanted him to write a thesis about it also. It confused Leon that he had to do this work when he was only in his first year, he thought this was the type of thing someone in their last year was to do. He sighed once more, clutching Nick the Tiger closer to him, puffing out a bit of air which moved some of his hair out of his face. A hand was then placed onto his knee, rubbing it slightly. Leon looked over to the male beside him with a smile, the boy's eyes were still on the road however, but Leon knew that Nick was still looking at him also. He always did that, making seem as if he is not caring or paying attention when he actually was, but making it look as if he was not to make sure that nothing bad was to happen in anyway possible. The hand did not move from Leon's knee.

"It is okay Leon, we will just have to make it for another day to spend some time together." Leon slightly pouted, but then relaxed back to his normal face, sitting back in the seat of the car. "I know, but you finally got a day off from work and I had no classes today so I thought we could spend it together, but nooooo, stupid school." Nick laughed at Leon quietly, patting his knee slightly before tacking it back to the wheel. "At lest it is not our special day." Nick's eyebrows quickly went up and down, making Leon giggle. "Yes yes, I know. To think we have nearly been together for six years..." Leon smiled to himself and let of a happy sigh, if there was such a thing. "The sooner I am done in this place the better..." Nick quickly looked at Leon before looking back at the road. "You are making that face again...The thinking one...What about?" Leon laughed at smiled. "About how quickly I want this over with and how much I am dreading this place. I mean...some of my family went here...but I don't remember who and why. I mean I asked my parents but they quickly switched to another topic straight way." Nick nodded and turned the car down the driveway towards the large hospital.

"Such a large place...in such a remote place." Leon thought allowed, Nick agreeing with a mumbled 'Hm'. Nick drove through the garden, along the road. "Such a remote place...but such a nice garden." He mumbled slightly to himself. This made Leon giggle a little. Nick was not big on saying things like that, He said he felt weird and less manly when he did. The car then pulled to a stop, right in front of the entrance to the whole place. Nick turned to Leon, his face stern. "You have your phone on you, so text me when you are nearly done, and also text me if anything goes wrong. You know about places like this. Full of crazy people and what not, I don't want you to get hurt at all, because if you do I will hurt the people that hurt you, then hurt you if you know what I mean." Leon blushed and laughed slightly. "I know, I know. I have my phone and I will text you. I am pretty sure everything will be fine." Nick stared at Leon's face for a little, the face of a smile that shone his world so brightly. He smiled slightly. "Okay then Leon..." He lent in and kissed Leon's soft lips lightly before pulling away. "You be safe in there...I love you Leon." Leon blushed and smiled back at Nick, opening the car door and looking back at him. "I love you too Nick." He closed the door to the car and walked up to the front door, waving slightly to Nick, which he then drove off back out of the place. "I truly do love you Nick..." Leon touched his lips lightly with his fingers. Nick the tiger still in his spear hands. "That felt different then normal...he really is worried." He smiled and turned to the door, pulling it open.

Leon stepped into the dark place, well dark compaired to the outside. He noticed someone at the front and quickly walked up to the person, a woman. He stood there quietly for a little, holding Nick the Tiger close to him. She tapped away and looked up. She typed quickly and then stopped, looking back up at Leon. "May I help you Sir?" Leon jumped slightly and then coughed a little. "Um...Yes actually...Uh I am Leon, my boyfriend Nick called you yesterday to ask if is okay if I can speak to the head of the place for an assignment I am doing." She looked at him for a while and then typed some more, before looking up again. "Yes, I do remember that...Please take a seat, someone will be down shortly." Leon nodded slightly and she replied with a smile...grin...something that scared him a little inside, she looked unnatural sitting there smiling or grinning like that. He opened the door into the waiting room and exhaled slightly. He looked up and saw another person, a girl. Someone he knew slightly. "Oh...hello there. Rose was it? I am Leon from school, we are in the same biology class." He spoke swiftly and had a smile on his face as he did so, Rose was never easy for him to talk to, but maybe this encounter would make if easier.

Rose was staring at the grounds. The gardens were so lovely. They were inviting. Almost asking her to come into them. Come and walk within them. Rose's hands rose and rested on the cool glass as she continued to stare at the plants. She didn't have anything else to do and she was attempting to block out that irritating ticking sound of the clock. She moved her eyes from the grass, to the gentle swaying trees to the blue skies. It was such a nice day, she would rather be a home reading. In fact she wished she had brought a book with her. It would really keep herself occupied and it might make her seem very serious on what she wanted to do. However there was nothing inside the waiting room that was interesting to look at, that was why she would spend some time starting at one thing before looking at another. Her mind was almost clear of thoughts which was odd since she always had something on her mind. Such a strange feeling deep inside made her unable to think of anything but why was this place giving off a chilly atmosphere. Rose continued to hum, she was not even sure what she was humming. It was a song of some sort. Occasionally she tapped the floor with the heels of her boots or continued to rock back and forth on her heels. Hands behind her back as she was staring out at the window still. Almost as if she was in her own world away from everyone else. In a protective bubble that no one else could get in.

It was not until a some what familiar voice pulled her from her gaze that everything around her seemed to come back to life. Her head turned around, she stared at the person before her. She was never good with faces or names even if she didn't speak to them more then once. Rose stared at him for some time, blinking and wondering how he knew his name. Why was he carrying a tiger teddy bear? Then she finally thought back to biology and then it struck her. He even said his name and it seemed that part never was heard by her ears.
'Leon?' She said lightly in a confused voice at first, wondering if that was him but it took another two seconds for her to know it WAS him. 'Leon! Um...hi.' Rose then spoke quite loudly, some what shocked to see him here of all places. The understanding of the tiger then fell into place. He ALWAYS had the tiger with him. She never knew why but she never bothered asking. It was not her place but it was cute she had to admit. Rose then spun around lightly to face him, her hands moved in front of her as they rested together.

Leon was someone she vaguely remembered from class but he was one she remembered more then other people. Maybe it had something to do with the tiger. It was always with him after all and it was a little hard to forget about someone who always carried something around with them. They barely spoke in class. Maybe if they were saying "excuse me" to pass or if they had to be assigned with one another for something in class or to do out of class but that was very rare. In fact she can't remember a time she had a full length conversation with him. Maybe cause they never had? Rose stared at him for a little while longer, unsure on exactly what to say to him. She never saw him outside of university, so it was some what awkward for her. Though it would be better then sitting in silent so she could attempt something called a "conversation", which only ever occurred between her friends and teachers and anyone else she had to talk too. She wasn't unsociable, just had a hard time talking to people.

A couple of strands of black hair fell into her face and Rose pushed it back.
'Um..what brings you to a place like this on such a nice day?' She spoke politely, her British accent shone through in each and every word spoken. In many ways Rose didn't want her British accent to become weaker the more time she spent here but it was bound to happen eventually. Her eyes were on Leon and his tiger. He was never mean, didn't seem like he was a horrible person and so she didn't have too worry too much about being around him. So maybe it would make things easier? Easier to speak to him that is. Rose's hands fiddled with her skirt lightly as she smiled lightly back to him. He had smiled at her already, it was only fair and it was polite too as well. Though the more she looked at him, the more she felt a little relaxed around him. 'Was it me or was that woman at the desk creepy? And i like creepy but in this case it a bad creepiness.' Rose then asked suddenly before he could get a word in and her voice seemed a little more loose. More relaxed. A lot more friendly then normal, like she wasn't trying to be polite and friendly to people she was uncomfortable around. Her head had tilted to the side and eyes rested into the direction that lend to the reception then they fell back to Leon. She smiled a little. A lot more brighter. It seemed she almost had a complete personality change towards him but she walked a little forwards, keeping in line, eyes on the window. Her ears were open for anything Leon had to say.

Leon stood quietly as she thought a little. It was quiet unusual, but usual at the same time. After all they only have spoken quickly because of classes and such. He readjusted Nick the Tiger in his arms as she spoke quietly and confused, then making him jump slightly with the sudden loudness. This was the most likely the only time Leon was going to speak to Rose in such a way so he thought he might as well make the best of it. His smiled remained on his face as she and himself stood staring at each other for a little before she made an attempt at a conversation. He had heard that Rose was not one to talk to people she had met properly, only those she had met and had befriended them. Other then that, he was also told she gives of a cold shoulder at times. But those seemed to be just roumrs. She was talking to him, slightly and seeming to feel a little uncomfortable, but talking to her none the less. His laughed slightly at the question directed at him.

"School. They want me to write a thesis on my career I want to follow. So they asked me to go here and ask for some information I could use in my work. I swear I have no clue why they have told me to do this. This seems more like something a second year or third year or someone doing their honours would do. If it was up to me I would be on a date with my boyfriend seeing as we hardly get to do that these days, but oh well, school comes first I guess." He laughed slightly before returning to his normal smile. He lifted up Nick the Tiger closer to his chest and squeezed it comfortably, it relaxed him. For some strange reason the quietness was freaking him out a little. "So what brings you here then Rose? I don't actually know what your course is so I don't have the slightest clue on what you could be doing here." He laughed again, a bit uneasy, this was due to the quietness once again. He never did too well in places like this. Mainly here...the room was not that small but still, a fair amount of objects in the way for such a place that seems to never have more then one person at a time, if they are lucky.

Leon liked Rose's accent, it made him feel as if the person he was talking to was complete, since he could never really tell if he had an accent or not, but it never really mattered he guess. When Rose asked another question he felt that she was getting more used to his presents, it would be more awkward if she was all shy and kept to her self when it was just her and himself in a place like this. "I know! What was with that? And the grin she gave off...or was it a smile? I could not even tell!" He whispered loudly, but it was a lot quieter then his normal talking voice. He laughed at Rose's comment on how she likes creepy but that was a bad creepiness. "Well I guess it is what happens to people when you work in this place for god knows how long." He laughed softly once more.

Leon jumped though when he heard a cough come from behind him. He turned and saw the woman that was at the desk in the reception room standing at the desk in the waiting room, by the looks of it the desk actually connected into the other room. "Sorry for bothering you two, but it seems it will be more of a wait till someone can come speak to you both. I am not sure how long that may be, might be hours. So I recommend telling anyone if you have an arranged time to get picked up, that you may even be here over...night. Sorry about that." Her creepy smile cross grin appeared once more before she walked off back to her other desk in the other room. "Sorry about that, had to tell Nick that I may not be home tonight." He smiled softly once more at Rose.

Rose stopped walking and spun around and faced him. She swayed side to side a little, very calmly. Staying still was not something she could do too well. Always fiddling with her pen in class, doodling in the corner of her pages and so on. She didn't know what it was. She couldn't stay still, maybe it was anxiety or something. It was nothing needed to think or worry about. Her hair gently brushed against the back of her legs with each movement to the side. Rose tried not to laugh a little as it seemingly tickled as she moved. She listened to each of his words, explaining the reason he was here. It did see a little crazy for teachers to suggest such a thing however, she was no different. She was here to help towards her own career, at least he had someone special. Rose never gave men the time of day for such a thing. It would be nice since she was away from home, only her friends which she sees inside university and sometimes outside otherwise she was alone with her pet cat. A lovely black cat known as Luna, she was adorable. Rose was never affected by him admitting he was gay but at the same time she wanted to repeat his words oddly enough. She was not bothered by people who was homosexual, she just never met someone who was before. After all, she barely spoke to others. So it was her fault in many ways. Something Rose cannot moan about. Rose just swayed lightly, with a small smile on her face.

She laughed a little, as she smiled at him.
'Am here for a way to improve my chances in the future as well. I study Psychology at the university and took Biology as an optional subject, as my minor. You see, in psychology there is a biological approach to explain why we act, behave and so on, thereby i took biology as a way to understand the terms used in the psychology classes.' Rose explained to him softly, though she did seem a bit more relaxed. She stopped swaying and smiled at him a little more. 'You see, i want to be a psychiatrist. Help the mentally ill and stuff. So i want to work in a place like this. Thereby with the advice from my teachers, i am looking around in places like this and asking if i can help out during the week when am not in classes. It would help towards me getting my experience needed for such places. I really want to understand why people act like they do, and maybe even make my own theories and hypothesises.' Rose said happily. Her voice full of passion as she spoke on about her dream job. About her desire to learn and understand the human mind and the biology side of the biological approach. It seemed that she really could talk and talk and talk about the subject. She giggled a little to stop herself from deciding to speak on more, as she continued to look at him. Still not wanting to sit down. The room made her uncomfortable. Was Leon feeling the same? She couldn't tell that much but his body language seemed to make it look like he might be.

Leon had an accent. She could tell and was ninety percentage sure it was Australian. She could be wrong but she didn't dare to ask. Just in case she sounded like an idiot. Not like it bothered her that much. She was an idiot a lot of the times...okay she was a bit of a idiot if you got to know the real her. As he spoke on about the grin, Rose nodded her head. She did understand where he was coming from. She got the exact same feeling and nodded her head a little.
'Maybe i will be like her after twenty years of working in a place like this...' Rose said but it was hard to tell if she was seriously thinking about if it could happen or was taking it as a joke. Her eyes were on the ceiling as she thought a out it and then grinned brightly. It was a joke after all. Then she heard something and looked over at where a noise came from. Rose noticed Leon jump but she didn't move. She stared at the woman behind the desk as she was staring at them. Rose didn't like the woman. She was creepy on many levels. So she just stared at the woman as her voice droned on but her words confused her greatly.

Over night? Was that normal? No that can't be right...her smile. Her smile was not normal. Maybe it was a joke. Yeah...that could be it. To bad Leon is taking this seriously. Her eyes narrowed onto Leon as he was texting away on his phone. She watched him do this before raising her head and stared at the place where the woman was just at. Rose continued to stare until she turned and face Leon once again. Greeted with a smile after speaking to her. Rose couldn't smile back oddly but she tried but it was a fail small smile. She turned off to one side and walked to a chair and finally placed herself into the seat. 'Hey, is waiting for someone to come, means you have to wait all night normal? It doesn't sound normal...' Rose spoke quietly as she rested her elbows on her knees as she hunched her back and rested her head into her hands. She never heard something like that before. Maybe things were just different here. She didn't know. Rose was still getting use to the area but now she was worried about her kitty. She hoped she was okay. Well she was outside, so maybe she would catch a mouse or something. The next door neighbour was nice and normally fed her, so she would get food that way too. So she didn't have to worry too much. Rose exhaled deeply as she was still thinking about the woman's words. If he was busy, then she would come back another day and not wait around but they weren't told that, so it wasn't clear. Rose didn't know what to think, and her eyes were staring intensely on the floor for some time before flickering up and staring up at him. The thoughts of sneaking off and finding the head of the place came to thought but maybe she should behave and sit still and wait however if he was not here in a hour or two, she may leave.

"Really? I did not know that. I always thought psychology was more related towards the health area of life, but then again I guess that is still part of biology then." Leon laughed as he held Nick slightly more closer. Rose was just as he thought she was, nice one you got her talking. Leon had always thought that if you could get someone talking and laughing in a conversation, even if the person seems to try and push most people away, you can always befriend them via simple chats. "A psychiatrist, huh? That is a lot of work. The teachers even told you to come here to see for a work experience place or as an actual job? Because by the looks of it they want you working in the field of work as soon as possible, seems you must be showing very good work in this area already then." Leon smiled showed again. He laughed once again at Rose's comment. "I hope not, would be kinda creepy in all areas of...well everything. I sound like a blabbering idiot right now don't I?"

He laughed once again, running a hand though his hair, taking his hood off. He did not even realise it was still on his head, it was a most rude thing to do at a place like this. He readjusted the hood as it sat more comfortably on his back and he looked back over at Rose. "No, it does not sound normal. I mean it should not be hard to come down from the head office to speak to a few university students, I mean after all we are all adults, but maybe they are really busy...even though it is highly quiet and that is seems more like they do not want to talk to us at all, even though they agreed to. I swear, if they chose to not speak to us now, I will be highly pissed off." He exhaled once more as his phone went off in his pocket. Leon pulled it out to see the text he had got back from Nick. "I see, well that is just strange. They should of seen you by now. Look it is perfectly fine I will ring your school now and tell them what is going on. Love you." Leon sighed softly as he sent a quick reply saying okay and put the phone away into his pocket.

Leon walked over to a chair just opposite Rose and sat down, placing Nick the Tiger in his lap, putting him into a position as if he was sitting down himself. "What time is it anyway? I mean it was noon when I showed up..." Leon then rolled his eyes. "I should of just checked when I had my phone out!" He laughed softly as he pulled out the phone, his eyes went wide and confused. "It is already one thirty. I swear time is flying pretty fast here." Leon yet again ran his free hand though his hair and the other one keeping Nick the Tiger in place. There was not much to do but talk, and he was confused on what to talk about. He thought for a bit and then opened his mouth. "Did you see the garden outside? It is huge! For such a remote place they sure know how to keep a garden clean and of the like." He laughed softly once again.

He scratched the back of his head, a sheepish laughed come out of his mouth. "With a garden like that, it looks like they are trying to do one of two things. One, to keep things out or two, to keep things inside the walls of this place." He shifted in his seat slightly. He was getting more and more uncomfortable as the time went on, he was confused by this, this was the only time this has happened to him, out of all the hospitals and of the like he has been to, this one gave off a large scale of creepiness, and that was quiet a lot, if there was a scale, it would of broken it, like an abnormally large overweight person stepping onto a scale that has a weight limit and broke it. He repositioned Nick the Tiger in his lap, acting as if it had a mind of its own and started to pet its head slightly as he sat quietly waiting for someone to come in to see them. "If no one comes to see us in the next few hours, I swear I will get up and go looking for them!" Leon thought the whole thing through as he sat there, making a face as he thought.

Rose's head lifted from her hands as her eyes were on him. She smiled lightly. It was health but explanations didn't always come down to psychological reasons. Psychologists have a biological approach believing it is genetics to explain behaviour, attraction and other things that psychologists try to explain. Plus there was so many talking about the human brain and hormones and stuff in your body, having the biology part helps with understanding it in more depth. Well it was going to be this or chemistry. Rose smiled lightly at him as he spoke on about her being a psychologist and the teachers sent her here. That wasn't exactly true. Maybe she didn't explain herself clearer. She spoke with the teachers about her dream job, and that she was curious on if she should get part time job or volunteer at a place she was curious in working. So they discussed it, gave her addresses so she could try her luck with them. Plus it would be great for a third year dissertation on clinical psychology as long as she got the permission too use a patient as a case study. Rose didn't really know what to say exactly, eve if she was a lot more calm.

His laugh was comforting, at least he was being polite and genuine and not faking it. Well she hoped he wasn't but he didn't see like he was. Just because she was doing psychology didn't mean she was analysing everyone she was speaking too. It was rude but she was still not too sure on, besides they weren't being taught to notice and read body language, they were learning to understand how people behaved, act and so on. Rose stared at her as he was fiddling with his hood and she nodded her head lightly with each and every word spoken. So she wasn't the only one. She was thinking carefully on his words. True they were adults - most of the time - and true the silence of the place didn't make it seem too busy. If he was not in the office, then it would be be politer to tell them then just make them wait. Though the woman's words were so disturbing that she couldn't really think straight because her mind was more on those words. Over night... Why would anyone say such words. Rose's head tilted to one side lightly as she was still listening. It would be frustrating but was anger really the best way to deal with it? It would be best to just leave then anything. Though everyone else had their own ways of dealing with things. However she had to agree, she would be quite annoyed as well. His hands were back on his phone, his boyfriend must of sent him a message. A small light smile came on her face when she watched him. It was nice to see love at work.

Her head lowered a little and her eyes were now on his shoes, with each and ever step he made until he sat down. Her eyes rose to the tiger as he placed him in his lap. She stared at the tiger and then her eyes shot to him when he asked the time. Rose just shrugged her shoulders. She had no clue. The noise of the ticking wall clock seemed to have disappeared now she had someone to talk to. Her head turned around the place and fell onto the clock just as he spoke the time. That was odd. She could of swore she was here only 20 minutes ago and that was around noon. Rose stared a little longer at the clock before looking back at him. She nodded her head lightly as he asked her if she saw the garden. She did, it was quite beautiful in a eerie way. There was no one outside from what she could tell. Which was sad because the beauty of the gardens was not being taken advantage of.
'The gardens are very beautiful. It a shame there is no one outside enjoying them. I know this is a hospital for the mentally ill but i assumed that some of the patients would be allowed out to enjoy the fresh air and the gardens.' Rose spoke in a gentle voice. She seemed to have almost because shy again or her mind was else where. Her voice was mature but sweet at the same time. She couldn't smile again as her mind was else where. 'It is oddly quiet too. I doubt this place would get too many visitors but i thought i would of seen someone here waiting to see a loved one, or a friend or something. I expected a little more noise and perhaps the odd nurse or doctor walking through here or passed the door. I haven't heard anything and that is some what...fearsome i guess.' Again she shrugged and then slowly stood up. Brushing her skirt down as she did.

Then she turned her feet and headed towards the reception. If she has been here a hour and a half already, she would really like to know what is going on. Where was the head? Maybe an explanation why it is so quiet. Rose reached the counter and leaned on it a little as she peered over it.
'Excuse me, madam. I would like to ask if you know what is taking him so long to come down? If he is busy, we would come back another day.' Rose said in her politest voice yet. She was trying to be nice and hoping that the woman would give her some answers. Well give them answers. She appeared what almost seemed out of the darkness and her eyes fell onto the girl. Rose got that awful, stomach turning feeling as she tried to be brave as she stood tall without thinking. 'Please be patient. He would be with you...shortly.' A demonic like grin spread across her face causing a shiver to run down the back of Rose's spine before she disappeared again. Obviously not wanting to answer questions. Rose sighed heavily. This was frustrating. Was it even worth it?

Rose turned back and walked over to Leon again. Sitting down on a chair in front of him. Just allowing her body to drop in the seat. Her shoulders slumped and her arms just hanged there.
'This is a little stupid don't you think? We aren't really even getting a answer to why we are waiting so long.' Rose moaned lightly as she closed her eyes for a moment before opening them and smiled at Leon lightly. 'You know...a part of me wants to sneak into the main area and explore and find out why it is so quiet and where the hell he is. Though i know i shouldn't...but i want too.' Rose said sharing her thoughts as she leaned back in the chair, folding her arms as she appeared to be debating on what she was going to do. Leave, wait or explore. Rose made sure her underwear wasn't on display, maybe she shouldn't move too much but she couldn't keep still. On top of that she liked skirts. Next time she was going to remember to wear some sort of shorts like biker shorts underneath. Rose was keeping an eye on the reception as she sat, leaned back in the chair, watching the reception seeing if she could see the woman moving. Though once she disappeared back in there, it was almost like she wasn't there.

Leon nodded in agreement on Rose about how it would be best if the paitents went out to see the garden, if could he helpful in many ways. But then she said something that made him think, he never thought of it before. The quietness of the place. Well he did, but not into as much depth as what Rose did. How there was no foot steps, no other voices but themselves, in fact the woman at the desk never spoke also, and if she did, it was very quiet, it was nothing he was used to. The other place he went to had people everywhere and there was voices all the time, sometimes you had to speak up to let the other person hear you. But this quietness, no one coming to visit loved ones, mind you Leon was interested to see what happened to his family members that were put here. It was all too quiet and Leon did not like it one bit.

Leon kept his head down as Rose walked over to the counter to talk to the woman again. The voice, the voice was not normal. Leon's eyes were slightly wider then normal as she spoke to Rose, in the dark, demonic like voice, a shiver fell down his spine. He was not liking it here one bit. He wanted to grab his things, ring Nick and tell him to pick him up right away because something was really wrong here. But, he couldn't do that, he had to do his school work, he needed to do his best, and if to do his best means to stay over night at a creepy asylum like place just to get a few answers for his questions, then so be it!

Leon looked at Rose as she planted herself in front of him on the seat, he nodded swiftly, he was too scared to talk at that point of time for some reason. He pulled Nick the Tiger closer to him as he sat, the creepy eeriness dawning on him once again, as if he was being watched by someone he could not see, someone that had been watching them since they walked up to the front door. He shivered once again, he was not liking it here. He still wanted to go looking around none the less. That is when it happened, Rose lent in and spoke quietly. Of looking around. Going and looking for some answers on why they are not speaking to us what so ever. Leon looked over at Rose, a grin slowly appearing on his kind face.

"You want to?" He asked in a soft voice, so the woman could not hear. "I was thinking the same thing you know, I really do think we should. I mean, we have waited long enough, and without a proper explination to why it is taking him so long to see us, I mean it is not like we are gonna take up a lot of time, I mean I only needed to ask a few questions for my school work and so do you, if anything we would be like one hour the most. So." His grin did not leave his face. Leon was totally into this whole idea. They had a right after all, and this place was not letting them have their right. "Lets go looking for him. I mean, what could go wrong?"

Rose notice a grin slowly appear onto his face. As she was slouched in her chair. She was curious on his smile and the size of it. She was wondering what was going through his mind. Though his smile was very, very interesting. She was curious on what was going through his mind. So Rose fixated her eyes on him and sat into a position were she was leaning forward to him. Her hands rested on her lap as she listened to everything that he was saying. His grin was so interesting that Rose was so drawn to it. She listened very carefully and then smiled back at him. She was nodding her head very lightly and then looked up at the reception desk and then her head turned to the door. She was wearing contacts today to help her eye sight instead of glasses. Her eyes feel onto the door and then she turned back to him. She sighed a little. 'Love the idea but we need a card to get through the door. It's understandable, protection and all that stuff so the patients can't wander out.' She muttered lightly and was now pondering on what they should and shouldn't do now to get the key card. The woman at the reception desk may have one but that meant how was they going to get it. Rose stared at the floor, thinking it over before looking at Leon and smiled at him happily. She jumped back to her feet and stretched a little. 'Am going to annoy the lady at the desk again.' Rose said with a smile and then walked slowly back to the desk.

She hadn't actually thought through what she was going to say, or do. She was more interested in if she had a card that would open the door otherwise they would have to find another way in. Rose reached the desk and looked around. She couldn't see the woman it was odd. Rose leaned over the desk a little as she stared the desk over seeing what was on the desk in front of her. Pens, papers, the usual you would see at an reception. Just then, the woman appeared making Rose jump and moved away from the counter. Did she really have to come out like that. She was breathing heavily and then took a few deep breaths to calm herself and then Rose found herself walking back to the reception.
'What are you doing? I have asked you to wait patiently.' She asked Rose in a bitter tone. The old woman seemed very annoyed with Rose's constantly coming up and talking to her. She wanted her to be patient. Though patience was something Rose did have but the amount of time they had to wait was becoming ridiculous.

Rose stared at her for a moment and then leaned forward a little. Her eyes fell onto the woman as she stared coldly back at her. She was really getting annoyed coming up to the desk to know what is going on but now she was wondering if annoying the lady would help.
'Hey old lady, am wondering...security around here is tight right? I mean you want to keep you patients safe correct? So i was just curious, do you have security guards about the place or something? I mean i want to work in a place like this and so i want to know all i can about such a place. Like its security, the way it works and so on. Since the head is too bloody busy to speak with us, i guess am going to ask you. Now lets have a polite conversation on what i love!' She said happily as she stood there leaning on the reception desk staring at her. The questions only seem to annoy the lady for Rose was just smiling at her and was more then willingly to repeat herself.

The woman took a deep breath and stared at the girl who was only grinning stupidly as she leaned on the reception.
'I would like it if you sit down and wait patiently, the time will come very soon.' Her voice was cold and icy. She seemed to prefer to ignore the questions asked then anything.

Rose leaned even more over the counter and was more looking around the place to see what else she could see before looking at the old lady.
'Okay, okay i get it, i will be silent.' She said as she slowly pulled backwards and the woman turned and disappeared off in the back. Rose then turned around and faced Leon. Her hand slipped to her side and hung in it was the woman's card. She placed her hands around it and walked to Leon and sat down by him. Crossing her legs as she did and rested it on her lap and sighed a little. 'I hope she doesn't mind i borrowed it. It was on the desk behind the counter. Am not sure if she left it there on purpose or not but either way, it would get us through that door but i can't see where she goes behind there. I think there is a door back there but it really dark that i shouldn't make such an assumption. It's like she is a ghost. very creepy indeed.' Rose said lightly, just loud enough for him to hear. Stealing was bad, she knew that but she wasn't sure what else they were to do. Besides if she didn't do anything, then they won't be able to explore. Rose was still debating if it was normal to leave a card like that on a desk or not. If she left it there on purpose then why? If it was luck then it was some pretty dumb luck. Either way they had a way in and she was leaving it to Leon to lead. She was just going to follow and be his look out.

Leon pondered this for a moment. She was right. How were they even going to get out when the door uses a security key card to get around most places here. I let out a sigh as he continued to think of ways to get out of the room to get somewhere else. From his memory the reception only had pretty much two doors and one opening. There was the front door, door into the waiting room and the opening was from the desk in the reception room into the waiting room desk. And that was all he could see, since it was very dark behind the desk, for all he knew there could of been a door that led to a storage room with tape and flash-lights and things of the like, heck even a few documents. But all he could do was sit and wait for this guy to show up. He nodded at Rose as she got up to annoy the old woman once more. Leon was starting to like Rose as a person very much so, and was slowly hating the woman at the desk more and more, seeing as she is refusing to give us more information on how long we will have to wait. He sighed and lent back in his chair, turning his head over his shoulder to see what was going on with Rose and the old woman...no not old woman, more like old hag.

He caught a glimpse of Rose leaning over the desk before looking away politely, in case her skirt went up, even though he was gay he still respected a woman wearing a dress and would look away if the chance for a perv were to appear. He heard the voice of the old hag once again, bitter, Leon was liking the sound of this, therefore he turned his head over his shoulder once again to get a look on the action. There was not much to do anyway, the garden was the same boring view over and over, no matter how beautiful it was. Nick the Tiger was then brought closer to his body as he watched Rose talk with the hag.

He could not help but giggle softly when Rose called her an old lady, in doing so the old hag shot him a glare. Bitter old hag, right to the bone. Leon tried to listen in as Rose asked about the security of the place, but by the sounds of it the old hag was not giving in and telling her anything about the place, just telling her to wait yet again, more useless information in other words. He groaned softly as she said it. Her voice was icy, this intrigued Leon, why would an old hag be so persistent in keeping two people waiting for so long in a place like this? He yawned softly and was about to look forward as Rose returned but caught a view of something, something that made his heart nearly leap out of his chest. The security key card. Leon had to keep a straight face as Rose came towards him and he turned around to look at were she was going to sit.

"Brilliant Rose, just brilliant. You got her card." He had a stupid grin on his face, keeping his voice down as he spoke. Finally, some luck was showing on their behalf. It was time to go exploring! Boy was he looking forward to this. He pulled out his phone and started texting away to Nick. "Rose is with me, from school. We got a hold of the receptionist key card and now going to look around and see what is going on. It is too quiet here so we are going to go take a looksie. Love Leon" He then sent the text and put his phone away back into his pocket. He was lucky he charged the phone the night before, it was nearly dead that night. He looked at Rose and ginned again. "Does not matter if weather she left if there for us to grab or not, all that does matter is now we can go see what the hell is going on." He was still grinning, but his grin slowly went to a straight face as she spoke of her being like a ghost. "Really? Are you sure? I mean if she is like a ghost, we got to be quick in getting out of the room unspotted. I think we should start making our way there now."

His left hand went up to the tattoo on his right forearm and was lightly placed on top of it. The psi energy of his body should be able to help them a little, even if he was one of the weakest users of psi in his group at school, Falling Psi. His psi energy was mainly put into tarot cards and trying to see visions of the future, hopefully it could coat them and help hid them from the woman to get out. He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath, then opening them and giving Rose a smug grin. Politely taking the key card and beckoning her to follow, getting onto his hands and knees, moving towards the desk and pressing up against the wall, heading towards the door. He moved slowly, hoping that the woman was not seeing them he got to the door and went up against the new wall, seeing Rose behind him. He lifted his arm and swiped the card across the section were the sensor was, the door unlocking with a loud click. His ears perked and he got up, grabbing Rose by the arm and pulling her up with him. He turned around to see the old woman. The old woman was now at the desk, looking dark and creepy yet again, but more so. "I told you two to wait. The time was coming. I told you two!" With that she screamed and then seemed to of exploded, but the smoke did not last long, there was a thing, a chain around its foot, naked and with a large hole in its stomach with teeth, like a second mouth. The thing screamed again and lunged at them, flying. He grabbed Rose and moved quickly, making his way out the door, dragging Rose with him to the other side, and started to push the door closed, a hand was trying to get at them through the door, it was swiping and clawing its way at them, growling the word 'wait' over and over. He then, with Rose's help slam the door close on its arm, making it have to pull back.

The door made a clicking sound and was locked again, the sounds of the things screaming was muffled and it was throwing its self up against the door, but then it slowly came to a stop. They waited a bit and Leon exhaled, shaking, his eyes wide. "Did you see that?!? What the hell was that thing?!?" He felt that he was still holding Nick the Tiger in his arms and exhaled once again. "Well Rose...Looks like we are stuck here now, together. What you think we should do now?" it was that moment he spotted another woman, in the distance down the hall in front of them, laughing, before running off. Another shiver when down his spine as he started to relax once again.

The road to the asylum was slightly bumpy... and Alistair driving the old motorcycle he did, he did not quite find it as pleasant as he wished for it to be. It was a good thing he he had made sure to get a second gas tank to fill the motorcycle with after he was done out there or he'd never have enough gas to make it back to the city. Why would anyone want to build a place out here. Then again the quiet and the serene, unscathed landscape maybe worked as a remedy to the patients' health. Al couldn't know and wasn't interested in finding out anyway. There was no need to. He wasn't there for that.

Safely strapped on the back was a suitcase. His suitcase. It contained copies of all the valuable data he had gathered this long -the originals safely tucked somewhere that even he didn't know so he wouldn't be able to reveal the location even if someone was to peer into his thoughts. Not that Alistair believed to the idiocy some superstitious people called 'psychic powers' there was no thing as a 'power' of any sort other than that exerted by a human's physical body and that of their thinking capability.

Either way... that was out of the question as well. He wasn't here for that either.

He peered up ahead. The hospital had been into view for a while but he was finally getting near. It was almost surprising, the how far one can see in the empty countryside without the tall city buildings rising from everywhere around. He made his stop outside the hospital and proceeded to neatly park, lock his motorcycle, tie it down and then getting his suitcase he quickly moved away.

He was determined to walk in, conduct research, then leave again. He was sure he would do just that when he went up the small flight of stairs. He was still sure of it when he opened the door leading to the Reception desk and he was most certainly still quite sure of it when he made his way to it and the woman positioned behind it. He watched her watch him as he made his way there, slightly annoyed that she would stare rudely like that. His long coat wavered behind him from the cold breath of the wind that blew through the door when he opened it. Lightweight footsteps tapped softly against the floor then stopped.

Black eyes clashed momentarily with the woman's cold gaze. Alistair sensed nothing in that glance. Almost as if there was a void there sucking up everything that could possibly be there... an unnatural absence of... humanity, so to speak. Before she ever had a chance to possibly greet him or asking what the hell he wanted out there in the middle of nowhere, he took out his badge and held it up so she could see.

"Good afternoon." he cynically stated. "I am a licensed detective, my name is Albireo. I'm here to conduct some research. I am sure you received a phone call from my agency the other day, my assistant informed me that you gave him a positive reply over the phone. I am in quite great a hurry so I would like to see the owner of this place. I need some testimony, is all." he said most of that with a single breath, then in a single flowing motion withdrew the badge, used to doing about the same thing way and over again over the past years.

The woman looked at him for another couple brief moments. He was about to protest when she finally spoke. "Please take a seat, someone will be down shortly..." he wanted to speak again, ask, pressure, make sure he had gotten his point that it was all a bit too urgent across but something in the way the receptionist spoke made him think that maybe he should be better doing as he was told.

Moving over to sit, he opened his suitcase with ease, and positioning it on his lap, like a table, he took a folder out and started making a recap of its contents. He really had no time to lose and any tiny scrap of missed information could prove fatally important at some point. He didn't feel like making any mistakes...

And so he sat and waited.

                      And waited...

Asera Ura

I'm consciously unconscious.

User Image

It was afternoon and Asera found herself elbow deep into a cadaver. He has recently died under her care, her signature clef in his neck. He seemed normal to her. Only appearing as a human to her eyes. The other doctors found that she saw their nighttime forms all the time. Her power of true sight somewhat of a hindrance. That's not really what mattered right now. She wanted to know why the man had died. After months of her torment, he finally seemed to just give up. Perhaps he figured he wasn't going to make it out alive. While that was true, he didn't have to let go.

A scream was heard. The receptionist from what she recognized. She was telling someone to wait. Did that mean there were more patients to be found? A twisted smile came across her face. Her arms and apron covered in blood. Asera hadn't gotten to the brain yet, but that could wait for another day. The body was sealed back up and put in the cold drawer. As she watched the blood swirl down the drain, she let out a sigh. It had been a while since she'd seen the Owner. A year since she found herself a doctor in this place. Her true form coming forth. She shook her head, trying to clear her mind of those thoughts and of the Owner. There were new toys in the building.

As she rode the elevator, she saw the two new people on the first floor and stopped. Her lab coat was white and spotless. Her glasses had no spots of blood. For all intents and purposes, she looked like a normal doctor in a normal hospital. The sun wasn't down yet and even then she wasn't really "scary." She held her hands behind her back, watching the two as they moved around. It was just easier for her to observe the two rather than just jumping into a conversation. Perhaps another doctor would join her and they could take care of these two. They were not lost and the receptionist's change was proof they knew something was up.

Then again, she heard something coming from downstairs. A new presence. Not someone who would be a patient, there was no taint when it came to his life. Then why was he here? Her abilities only covered that. He was with the receptionist, back in her normal form. So, what had caused her to flip? The doctor figured that the reason would be far more interesting than these two. Let's leave these two on their own. The patients or Doctor Hayes can find them. Asera made her way down to the waiting room, speaking with the receptionist. The woman motioned to the man looking at a folder. Being as pushy as the woman made him out to be, there was no point in approaching him. He would come to her, if he noticed.
