Thin 1 egg pancake!

Ingredients:
1 large egg
1/2 cup flour
2-4 tbsp. water-type liquid (I used some green tea)
dash of sea salt (regular morton's will work bit I like sea salt!)

Tools:
Small mixing bowl
whisk
non-stick pan

Step 1: break egg into bowl and whisk it until you can't find the eggwhites anymore

step 2: Slowly add in flour and salt, by sprinkling it over the egg carefully in tiny amounts, to avoid getting lumps

Step 3: Butter up the pan and set it on a burner to medium to so it can get nice and hot

Step 4: Add your liquid, I used cold green tea, which didn't have much bearing on the flavor. Whisk until throughly mixed and your batter has some little air bubbles

Step 5 razz our batter into the hot pan and swirl it around until it coats the bottom of the pan. Cook it for about 3-5 minutes, until the edges curl up from the sides of the pan. Flip and allow to cook for another 3-5 minutes.

Step 6: remove from heat, repeat with the rest of the batter. (sadly when I did this it did not cover the rest of the pan...but still made a nom breakfast!)

Step 7: Use in your lunchbox or eat right away!

I used mine to make my lunch today!

Oh wow, thanks so much! I've seen this as a substitute for wraps in a few recipes, I'll have to try it out mrgreen

Maybe we could put fruits in it instead.

...well they're thin pancakes, meant for rolling, but I suppose if you really wanted to try putting fruit into the batter you could try mixing jam or fruit preserves in while it's well... sweatdrop

I just tried this recipe
The only complaint I have is that I could not pour the batter after using the whole 4tbs of liquid (I used soymilk)
I had to keep adding until it got to just slightly thinner than pancake thickness
Otherwords, this is a nifty recipe that is great for on the spot wraps. Wonderful for people who want to flavor their foods from the begining. I suggest maybe adding lemon juice to the batter and fillings for a citrus effect biggrin

This is a genius idea! I never thought of putting crepes in a bento 8D I'm definitely going to use this idea for a bento. Glad I joined this guild ^^
