I hate to ask this here, but I found no guild that offers something like this.. that i'm aware of. Does anyone know a reliable source to learn this? I do admire Russians, thoughout all of history.

As of well ask if anyone else admires them as well, and why?

Find the torrent of Pimsleurs courses if you like. They're audio tapes. Well, otherwise buy them. I've tried it before, and it's fairly straight forward.

The downside is that its a bit... rigid? But none the less, this is what CIA and FBI use to learn, so it can't be that bad eh.

It wont help you read/write Cyrillic though. Maybe you're better off going to a website for that, I'm sure there are plenty. Actually, they are all over the 'net. Here's one: http://www.43things.com/things/view/33750/learn-to-read-cyrillic

You should look into Livemocha. It helps you definitely read, write, speak, and comprehend lots of languages. Their Russian courses are really good, and it's absolutely free for the basic classes (the only difference from the pay class and the basic is that the pay class lets you download the lessons as an mp3 file or a pdf file).

I've been studying Russian for four years now... if anyone wants to practice conversation or whatnot, I'm always down.

I'm totally going to have to try some of this on my free time, I feel bad for not learning another language.

Didn't you live in Russia at one point? That is what I heard.

Secret code? I just use big words, or I talk to myself with words in such a sequence that would normally be literal babble but in my ehad makes perfect sense. YOU UNDERSTAND, DON'T YOU???

I studied there for a semester and lived with a host family. It was a great experience, and I miss it a lot.
