St George
Hey Ross!
KS have finally decided on 10 questions for you, here they are, hope you enjoy answering them as much as we will do reading them:-
Here are ten questions for Ross, the first three questions were asked several times by many Korn fans.
1. dC* asks:
What has been the fundamental difference in working with korn for the first two albums and now?
Ross:
i think the dudes had more connection between each other without kids and family. james and ray put in 100% focus on korn during weekdays WHILE REG HAS A BABY COMING AND JOHN IS TRYING TO LET US HAVE OUR SPACE SO HE CAN FOCUS ON VOX. ON THE FIRST 2 RECORDS, we were 24/7 all korn, always...
they are human and it's kinda to push the world out and live for one band. the change is GOOD
2. Anarf asks:
what is your opinion about the rest of the KORN albums which you didnt produced?
Ross:
some songs kicked a**, i didn't like most of it because i was craving it to be more organic. they blow me away just by staying functional as a group.
3. Ravok asks:
What do you plan on doing with that demo reel you found with Faget and others songs on it?
Ross:
man, i just found a live to half inch tape of korn during the first record AT INDIGO AND i have no idea what's on it. it will be on some sort of something for you all to hear soon.
4. ADIDAS asks:
What was the crazyest thing you saw from any member of the band during the recordings of their first, second, and new album?
Ross:
on daddy, the song finished- as john walked out of the vocal booth, the tape rolled off the machine. we used every second of tape and it was all live while tracking drums. it was so close to not happening on one of the greatest moments ever recorded...
5. MazeHaze asks:
Are there any other artists you would like to produce or re-connect with to produce again?
Ross:
KLAXONS, THEY'RE NEXT! SO STOKED
6. Antman20 asks:
Why did you decide to become a producer and how did you get your start?
Ross:
I WROTE IT ON A BANK FORM AS MY OCCUPATION ONE DAY. I WAS 19 OR 20... MY MOM SAID TO PUT MY BODY WHERE I WANTED TO BE, SO I DID THAT. SIMPLE, I WANTED TO BE IN A BAND WITH WHAT TURNED INTO KORN AND DID EVERYTHING WITH EXTREME LOVE AND GRATITUDE FOR THEM.
7. dieterkoRn asks:
What were your first thoughts going back into the production process of this new album and what were you expecting? Were your expectations met? or exceeded?
Ross:
i exPECTED TO HAVE LOTS OF FUN AND MAKE A GREAT, TRUE KORN RECORD. IT TOTALLY IS GREAT AND IT'S, IT'S OWN LIFE FORM FOR YOU TO JUDGE : )
8. juliemojo asks:
What do you think about Ray being in the band now?
Ross:
HE IS TOTALLY EASY TO WORK WITH. HE COMES IN EVERYDAY WITH A 100% ATTITUDE AND HAS TONS OF HEART TO MATCH THE IMPORTANCE OF WHAT'S GOING ON HERE.
9. Lizard asks :
How do you decide which tracks will make the cut for the album?
Ross:
IF SOMETHING SUCKS, I TRY TO THROW IT AWAY RATHER THAN PRETEND IT'S OK
10. cameltosis asks:
Any chance of you being back for the next album?
Ross:
I WILL DO IT IF THEY WANT ME
