What do you do when you lose your home? When your family turns its back on you? When all your friends and allies are either gone or turned on you? When you have nothing left? What are you supposed to do?
A select few, myself included, are taken in by special groups. One of these groups is called the Shadow Flames. They are run by a man who says his name is Malek. He is very selective on who he takes in and what he has them do. A very secretive group that can be tricky to get a hold of.
A great many years ago, Malek found me. Despite my talents and skills, I was exhausted, starving, and on the verge of death. Malek took me in. He nursed me back to health himself, shocking the other members of Shadow Flames. It took me nearly a year to regain my health. I am now a shadow within the greater shadow of the group.
Many years have passed since Malek found me. A great many indeed. He is still a smart, unpredictable leader. Now, though, there is a group attempting to destroy the rest of us.

Groups Shadow FlamesLed by a man called Malek. He is very selective on who he takes in and what he has them do. The group is quite secretive and can be hard to contact. Daemon CaressLed by a woman called Valeena. She is a powerful demon. They are secret allies to Shadow Flames. The goals of this group change with the whims of Valeena.

Bio/History: LiN does not openly discuss her full past with anyone. She tells bits of it here and there, especially if driving home a point: what she is capable of. She does, however, admit that she escaped a fate too horrible to wish upon anyone. Being found and nursed back to health by Malek, she is fiercely loyal to him. She protects him and strikes out when and where needed.

Bio/History: Alauna was the Matron Mother of the second house of the drow city in which she and LiNeeerafae hail from. She favored LiN, taking her as a lover from time to time. Her daughters, in a traditional drow bid for power, turned on her. Her son, the mad woman's favorite child, was killed in the resulting battles. Alauna's daughters were unable to overthrow their mother on their own, having to gain the assistance of two Kilndar daughters. One of the two was the twin of LiNeeerafae. In a cruel twist of fate, her spirit was bound within the body of her former Kilndar lover. She has recently found her long awaited freedom. With a broken mind, her actions are often unpredictable.

Bio/History: She was the first; The first woman, and the first woman at Adam's side. She had been in love with the first man until she found out that he did not look across at her, but down at her. Rather than compromise her idea of love, Lilith flew out of Eden where she was greeted by the Demon Queen, Lilitu. Lilitu had brought all the demons into the world and decided to strike an agreement with Lilith. Lilith could live forever, giving her a chance to find the man that would look at her as his equal. In return, they would bind to each other and become one in body and mind. Lilith took Lilitu's hand and the contract began in that very second. Lilit, the new Demon Queen was created.
Lilit has searched the world over and over more times than she could bear to count, seeking out the one man that is destined to stand at her side.

LiNeeerafae staggers against the wall of a darkened alley near midnight. There is dried and fresh blood upon her ebony flesh. Her once silver hair is matted, caked, and stained with dirt and blood. She has been denied food, water, and sleep. She had been sent in undercover to infiltrate a group that thought that the Shadow Flames were the ones picking off the other groups. Someone had found him out. A lie detecting spell. She has been at their mercy for nearly three years now. A small, weak smile curves her chapped lips. The group, her family, never stopped the hunt for her. She heard the whispers of it. It made keeping her dangerous. She has escaped now. Home is so close. The mansion is so near. She staggers a few more feet down the dark alley before hitting against the wall again. Her now dull silver eyes don't even register her [ain in her severely weakened state. She needs to get home and tell Malek what she has found out. She needs to get home. The mansion is still a mile away.

Jacob moved like a blood stained shadow his red cloak a stark contrast to his black attire against the night. They had been searching for nearly three years to find LiN, had lost many in the search one was important to both him and the drow but he would tell her of that later, now he just knew she was close he could smell her blood just a block a way. He bent his knees dipping low to the ground and in a flash of crimson and black leather leaped an entire city block landing silently behind and next to the drow. He had an uneasy feeling that her kidnappers would be in pursuit. He scooped her up into his arms and ran flat out for the mansion. "Don't worry LiN it's me Jacob I've got you and will get you home safe."

Her head lolls back against his arm as though her neck is boneless. Dull silver eyes stare straight up for a moment before slowly moving to look up at Jacob. Her chapped lips mouth home though no sound comes forth. If she but had the strength, she would laugh. The mighty LiNeeerafae of House Kilndar reduced to this. Being carried away from her enemies. They hadn't been until the first time they "questioned" her. Dull eyes don't even register the anger she should be feeling, the heat of revenge. She will not forget. One day, she will repay them for the things they have done. Now, though, she needs to report to Malek. Jacob will get her home.

Jacob looks down at the woman in his arms as he simply leaps over the gate not bothering with the guards or anything of the sort. He growls internally wishing he could have stayed and waited for her captors to attempt finding her so he could make them pay but that would have to wait as he slipped into the mansion and nearly took the door to the infirmary off it's hinges when he kicked it in and laid her on the table.

Being laid on the table gets a reaction from the drow. LiN's back arches in pure pain before she claws her way onto her stomach. The relief isn't much, but enough. Gripping the edge of the table tightly enough to lighten her dark and dirty knuckles, she lets her forehead rest against the cool table. Again, could she laugh, the drow woman would. She must look quite the sight. Oh, but she will have her revenge. None who wrong a drow live long lives.

Jacob growled loudly as he is pushed out of the way by the medical staff who set to work immediately treating the most severe of the wounds first. They also clean LiN up the best they can short of actually bathing the drow woman, when they finish they cover her with a soft white hospital sheet and leave Jacob alone with her once more.

After mentally assaulting one of the nurses for a glass of water, LiN uses sore and shaking hands to lift the glass to her mouth. It will take a few more cleanings before the worst of the wounds stop their oozing of infection at such movements. After draining the glas sof its contents,she turns dull silver eyes to Jacob. When she speaks, her voice is raspy instead of the enchanting musical sound it usually is. "Thank you...Jacob."

Jacob sighed softly shaking his head. His crimson orbs staring out the window. "Don't thank me just yet LiN, you have missed much in your absence." He swallowed knowing subtlety had never been his strong point and thought it best to be direct. He looked up at the moon it's shining color reminding him of a certain pair of pale gray eyes. "I lost him LiN, we were out searching for you, we had stumbled upon a hideout and I went for back up but he refused to wait by the time I returned they had vanished and he was nowhere to be seen. I failed you I'm sorry."

Dull silver eyes narrow dangerously, a touch of heat slipping into them. She knows she doesn't look threatening or intimidating. Her once lithe body looks almost cadaverous with all the weight she's lost.A touch of power and strength comes to her call that she knows she should not have. The thought of her goddess enters her mind but is quickly pushed away. "Who did you loose, Jacob?" Her voice comes out a little stronger this time, no longer raspy but slightly hoarse.

Jacob closes his eyes at her tone knowing that despite her weakened state LiN was still powerful and dangerous. Not that he was afraid of the pain that was coming as he formulated his response in his mind. He knew it would hurt her possibly be the thing to break her spirit but she needed to be told, he spoke but a single word a soft melancholy whisper. "Adrian..." He closed his eyes again awaiting her outburst and the pain that would follow.

A scream of pure rage erupts from the frail looking drow woman as she throws the glass forcefully enough to send it hurtling all the way across the large room to smash against the wall. Power flares through her and LiN does something she hasn't in centuries: welcomes it. She pulls it to herself, surrounds herself with it and it fills her up greedily. Silver eyes glint feverishly. "They will die." Those three words are spoken with strength, with power.
