it might be true but it can also be a lie.
if i were the girl, and i like you, i will not say it to your friend because if i do, it's pretty sure that your friend will tell it to you.
but it can also be true. it depends on the reaction of the girl, if it looks like she's serious, then it's definitely true 3nodding

maybe just try to make friends to her. then if you think that she's learning to like you too, then it's time to court her.
