Shinōreijutsuin (Spiritual Arts Academy): sometimes called the Shinigami Academy. This is the academy founded by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto some 2,000 years ago. It was once called the Shinigami Academy. It changed to spiritual Arts Academy when it developed into an institute for the next generation of the Kidō Corps and the Onmitsukidō as well as the Shinigami of the Gotei 13. In Rukongai, it is still referred to as Shinigami Academy. The academy, which is located in Seireitei, trains future Shinigami for each of the three military arms of Soul Society.

He walk through the gate and into the court yard of the academy sending off his presence. All of the Shinigami attention turned to kenji. He felt weird with everyone watching him but he got use to it. As he reaches the front door a man dressed in holy robes come out and bows as a sign of respect and greeting kenji bows respectively to show his manners. The man invited him inside the academy to a private room where they both sat down and bowed to each other again. The man asks kenji "it is a great honor to have Captain of the first division here at the academy. So what is the purpose of having our captain here for this talk". Kenji smiled and said "Well i have come to see on our improvement of our future shinigamis". The man pulled out a sheet from his desk. Kenji took the sheet and read it the sheet showed few names of shinigami that had tanlet but it seemed like they were getting lazy. To kenji these shinigami proved useless and would most likely get killed or badly wounded in battle with a few hollows. Kenji placed the sheet down and asked " Can any of these shinigami use there shikai" The man nodded " but there are only a few". Kenji was pleased to hear that and wanted to meet them but they were busy with class and he did not want to disturb them. He spotted on a chart behind the man a Schedule of classes and he saw a spot that had no teacher teaching. Kenji took this chance to see what these shinigami had. Kenji kindly ask if he could take the spot and it was given to him. Kenji bowed Respectively and got up to get ready to test his class. He walked toward the academy training ground.
