"Whats ur goal for this season", my coach asked me last augest. Having a PR of just 20:27 i told him I wanted to break 20. He looked at me with disapointment and said I could do much better so i told him 19:15.
Then later that day I wrote on my bathroom mirror:
5k-19:15
800- 2:20
1600- 5:20
3200-11:50
A week after I ran a 19:11 5k. Now I've lowered my 5k goal to 18:45, and i'm excited for the track season. Now I want you to try the same.
Just get an expo marker and write ur goals for the season on the side of your mirror. The theory is that seeing this everyday will help u remenber why you run, and will give u the positive effort to do much more.
