Ok so I payed through the whole game as "The hero of the wasteland" or something like that, I had the highest good karma in other words. I like how you got gamer points each level of karma you went up. But I noticed that you would have to be a bad person or a neutral person to get the rest of the gamer points. Is it possible to change karma DRASTICALLY in the SAME save file as your good karma? (sorry if I sound a little confusing)

Kinda, but I don't think quite in the way you're wanting. It's possible to change your Karma drastically in the same save file, but most of the relevant achivements are gained at specific levels. I can't access the page with the details from work, but if you google the fallout wiki, there's a page with the achivement details and what it takes to get them.
There is also an achivement for reaching certain levels at each of the different karmaic extremes--very good, neutral, very evil.
But pretty much? to get all of them you kind of have to have multiple save files.
The only other way I can think of is, when you're reaching a "milestone" level at which an achivement is granted, create an alternate save, and then go and get your Karma to whatever you aren't already, and then level up, then revert, go and get your Karma to the other end. It'd probably be easier to play through "neutral" so that you can just swing your Karma in either direction for the achivements.

Awww bummer. I've spent so much time and energy in my file, I didn't even think about how my gamer points would be affected. I guess I'll always have those gamer points I'll have never gotten. crying
Thank you though!

Y'know, it's worth it to just create a new save file and start again from the beginning. There is a lot to do and see in Fallout that is different based on the choices you make in-game. I mean, you went good path, right? That means you probably did not blow up Megaton. You probably did not use the Mesmetron to take slaves. You were probably hunted by Talon Company and never see Regulators (unless you took the finger-taking bounty-hunting perk) ... I'm intending to start another play-through when I have boundless free time and no competition for the xbox, for the sake of getting some of the gamer points/achievements I missed the first two times when I went through on the straight-and-narrow goody-goody path.

You know, you make a good point. But Free Time, is all I'm worried about. BUT, I'll probably consider making a new file. If your evil, then do the Talon Company people still come after you?

If your evil, then do the Talon Company people still come after you? If you reach a certain level of "good," Talon comes after you. If you reach a certain level of "evil," Regulators comes after you. If you switch between both extremes, BOTH will come after you. I'm not sure if either show up when you're "neutral" though.

=O Wow, I never knew the regulators would come after you. Though I should have known anyway. ^^: But switching between both and having them BOTH come after doesn't seem very fair. Unless you're powerful, the nevermind that. XD
Thanks for that, but I'm still weary about starting over.. Maybe I'll just wait until I get the "Broken Steel" DLC so that I can raise my level to 30. =D

If you kill the talon company commander, they never come after you.

If you get or have point lookout you get new perks, like a perk that changes your karma, but its at level 24.
