Not much is known about Hiro except that when found he had a strange tattoo on his chest showing the Japanese word for Death. When entering into the academy he flew through ahead of everyone in his classes seeming to very intelligent, but a very skillful fighter as well. After the academy he went to Division 2 where he became the 3rd seat at the same time as joining. After a surprise hollow attack that took the Captains life,during which Hiro managed to protect everyone but the captain from harms way, he was elected the captain position.
