Rachel walked into the village and looked around. She smiled at the villagers and was happy to not be reconized. she took out a small pouch of money and bought a cloak. She put it on her and then put the hood up so no one could see her face. She looked around for a place she could stay.

Kazuo walked into the village, surprised by the size of it. "It's going to take me forever to find her..." He complained to himself. He sighed and walked through the streets, keeping his eye out for Rachel.

Rachel sat on the ground with a bunch of cats around her. She was petting them and loving them. She blincked tears out of her eyes as she remembered her cats. Suddenly a small stone flew at her head, but Rachel caught it quickly with out looking. An old, creaky voice yelled, "Star, get back to work!" Rachel/Star sighed and then picked up a broom and started sweeping.

Kazuo looked around, he saw someone sweeping and sighed. He looked ahead of him and a few paces away he saw dark hair, assuming it was Rachel he ran toward the girl. "Rachel!?" He called before he spun her around, grabbing the girls shoulders. The girl looked angry and confused, it wasn't Rachel. "Sorry...I thought you were someone else" He said. He let her go and backed up a step, looking at the ground. What if he never found her?

Rachel heard her name and looked around thinking about Kazuo. Since she had left she hadn't stopped thinking about him. She sighed and felt small tears roll off her face and then continued sweeping. She wanted to call out to Kazuo and say, "I'm right here, Kazuo! Now we can be together and never leave each other!", but she didn't, because she still believed that leaving them all was he best thing to do. She continued sweeping.

Kazuo cursed himself, stomping the ground in frustration. He started asking around, everyone that passed her would describe Rachel, everyone said the same thing. 'Sorry, I haven't seen her.' Growing desperate he asked even the most unlikely people, finally going to the girl sweeping. He grabbed her shoulders, "Please, can you help me, I'm looking for-" He stood there, wide eyed as he looked at the girls face. "Rachel?" He asked.

Rachel looked into Kazuo's eyes before flinching. The old lady was throwing stones at her again and yelling, "Get back to work!" Rachel pulled Kazuo off of her and continued sweeping. "My name's not Rachel, it's Star. I'm sorry, but I don't know who you're looking for." Rachel/Star said in a different voice then she had spokken in when she had hung around Kazuo. The glass butterfly glittered on her back.

Kazuo raised his hand, making a glass wall between the lady and them. He put his hands together in a sign and the butterfly detached itself from her back. "Liar." He said, a small smirk crossing his face. The butterfly turned to dust as Kazuo let the jutsu stop. He pulled Rachel into a big hug.

Rachel just pushed Kazuo away from her and continued sweeping. "Alright, I"m Rachel, so what?" She said softly and coldly. The cats came up to her and were mewing.

Kazuo's heart dropped at her words. "So what? He asked, "How about I missed you, nearly killed myself several times trying to get here, and you say so what...." He took the broom from her hands and tossed it aside.

"You still don't understand why I left." Rachel said turning around. It was breaking her heat to do this, but she had to. SHe didn't want Kazuo to be chased after because of her. She had too many enemies.

Kazuo crossed her arms and angled his eye brows. "Then make me understand." He said. He took a step forward so he stood beside her.

"I couldn't protect them. I'm cursed to the fact that i always actract trouble for those i care about most and my parents were killed, as well as my older brother. I loved them so much and I had tried to protect them, but I couldn't. When Norio held me back from fighting Pein it made me feel weak again, like the day I saw them die. When I heard that you were in the hospital and saw you hurt it reminded me of my brother, the day I saw him in the hospital and he died. I barely had a scratched and he was siting there using all of his strength to breath and only breath. I just can't let something like that happen to you! I have to stay away from you or you'll be killed too! Even a cat was killed that I cared about! After my parents died I still had friends, but then they all got killed so the village came to a concluetion and banned me from going into the village and becoming frineds with the villagers. That's why I lived in solidtude and I just can't handle it if you die too!" Rachel said tears streaming down her face as she fell to her knees and sobbed. The old hag continued trying to pelt her with stones and Rachel was tired of it. Her mark glowed as she stood up. Her eyes changed to a demon's eyes as she started walking toward the lady with a murderous intent.

Kazuo looked over at the lady, completely surrounding her with thick glass. He stepped in front of Rachel. "Don't." he warned. He grabbed her shoulder, forcing her to stop. "You think I'll die if I stay around you? I've been hunted my entire life. So what if a few more people join the club. I'm used to it. We both are." he explained, "But even if you said you hated me. If you said you wanted me dead. I wouldn't leave."
