So I was thinking the other day about how when I was a kid and film cameras were still all the go, how exciting actually getting your photos developed was. There was the wait, not knowing how your photos had turned out until you got them. Then, often days/weeks after the event you get your pictures and get to look through them and re-live the memories. Then all the fun of filing them in photo albums...
Ok, so I'm getting a bit carried away here, how 'bouts I get to the point of my post? sweatdrop
So, what do you remember from the past that was perhaps a bit more exciting than it's modern day counterpart?
((random I know, but whatever xd ))

Back in the days when you would go to the movies all the time and even the drive in's regularly...
Nowadays a movie can be downloaded from the internet a few weeks after it's in the cinemas and it's on DVD not long after that.. I remember as a kid watching a movie and almost peeing my pants with excitement when it came out on VHS like a year later.
There's only one drive-ins left now too =( I used to go there all the time with my girlfriend when I first got me car though biggrin

You know I've never actually been to a drive-in? I think there's one that's...well it's not nearby but it'd not impossible to get to, prolly a day trip or something.
Still, going to the movies isn't as exciting these days, mostly 'cause it's harder to ignore the pain of increased ticket prices xp
Movie nights at friend's houses are still fun, though xd

Oh lol...
I remember as a kid we had this little TV on wheels that used to randomly go black and white on us and you had to smack it really hard to get the colour back.
It always amused me when this happened during 'The Addams Family' because that was a black and white show so we wouldn't notice until the ads and then not bother to fix it 'cause there was no point xd
