At one time in history, there was no moon to light our path, humans hid indoors at night, when Helios returned home. Selene, his twin, noticed the fear the darkness brought upon them and took pity on them. She decided one night to follow her brother across the sky, catching the last golden rays off his golden chariot. the light bounced off her silver chariot, lighting the world below. She found also that if she turned the chariot to certain angles, the moon would be smaller or bigger. Every night she drives across the sky, lighting our world so we can no longer fear what roams in the shadows.........
