This is false. Drows are a completely different race than dark elves. Dark Elves are Demonic Elves, demons combined with elves, most dark elves have pale normal skin or pale skin with a blue or purple tint, and most males have horns, some females do as well, they also of course have pointy ears, and they are a bit longer than normal elf ears, but shorter than night elves' ears. They also have normal hair, color ranging from brown to blonde to black to even red. But the most common hair color is brown. Their eye color also varies as well. They live above ground, mostly in forested areas like most elves do. Dark Elves speak in old ancient language that was a combination of old Elvic with old demonic.
Drows are a sub-race of elves that aren't even really elves anymore, they live underground and are characterized by blackish-grayish skin, white hair, and blood red eyes. They also have pointy ears. They are very similar to Dark Elves which is why people get the two mixed up so much, but they are not the same thing. Their culture is different as well. They speak a language known as Ilythriiric (I believe that's how you spell it) And yes, my post style is Ilythriiric but that's because there are no online translators that I can find that translate the proper dark elf language.

These are Dark Elves with drow-like white hair. But they do not share the dark skin, nor the blood red eyes of a Drow, therefore he is not a drow, but this is one of the things that people get confused the most.
And this is a Night Elf..(most have purple skin and their ears are longer than most other species of elves)
